im not the biggest fan of the ruin dlc, not because it's bad but bc it couldve been so much better! (Like SB ngl)

SPOILERS!!! (Also pls remember that this is my personal opinion)

I think that the animatronics got WAY to little attention. Which is technically fine since theyre "ruined" and not really functional anymore but they could've AT LEAST made Roxy more important to the story. When it was time to shut her down I was sad ofc but it really didn't have that much of an impact on me bc it wasn't made clear until THAT moment how much Roxy and Cassie care for eachother and that they bonded a lot in the past.

Now if the game would've shown from the start or even when we meet Roxy for the first time that "Hey! this character is imprtant for our character because of the history they share" the shutdown would've been a lot more impactful imo.

ALSO ALSO

what the actual hell was the deal with Eclipse only being there for ONE cutscene??? You can't just add a super cool and interesting new character and then go "Ha lol thats enough" like 3 seconds later. Seriously.

This again feels like Steel Wool wanted to cram a BUNCH of ideas into a single game/expansion and it resulted in the overall quality suffering. I really hope there's gonna be another add on/DLC or whatever to further explore all of this bc honestly the DLC kinda felt like nothing (also idk if the books have always been cannon or not but so far they've been seperate narratives which was great bc I can't get those damn books to read them so I have no idea wtf is going on with the mimic)

All in all, fun to watch/play but I'm very salty abt the (once again) missed potential of this
