adding onto your baetag bodyguard/boss thoughts: people don't take them seriously at first, how could they? a boss shorter than all of his subordinates and a bodyguard that seems to spend most of his time with his head in the clouds. those people dont tend to last long in this life though, discovering for themselves how exactly the pair came to be so feared. ohmygod yes yes yes! everyone would underestimate and when their opponents realize its going to be too late because they didn’t expect this powerful combination. they are raised in a world and a time where things never went their way both seungmin and youngtaek realize that no matter what they have one another. their bond is one that cant be broken except through death or not even though that because memories serve as a powerful reminder when the other person is left behind. memories are a curse and a blessing - always reminding you of the bittersweet past. one in which both boys were  betrayed by the world they lived in, the people they had once counted on. or in another lens, it serves as a way to cherish beautiful moments they spent together relying on one another when they only had each other.

but in all honesty, i left it open- ended with only boss because i was thinking the exact same thing since both of them work. in my head seungmin simply has to be someone with some sort of ‘authority’ - so whether its underground like in a mafia au or boss ceo then it works or like. we can even do something as random as like i dk seungmin owning a local store or a bakery or smth im sucker for aus like this as well lmao but  (cue sad background for seungmin) and taking in youngtaek (who idk comes out of jail or smth or is like lost in life - he still knows how to fight ) and has no idea where to go and what to do with life and finds himself under the guidance of seungmin and youngtaek in return helps seungmin out at the store. and whenever someone wants to cheat seungmin out of money or underestimates him youngtaek is there as his right hand man.
