kristen or lapin?

wow you really pin-pointed the very core of my love for dimension 20. As much as I feel kinship towards (especially s1) Kristen - not really for her backstory, more for her badly concealed chaos and the way she is on such a wild intellectual journey - as much as I love her it has to be Lapin. The complexity of his story, his defiance till the end, the layers of lies he was living under, the utter joy his silly stuffy voice brought. Truly there may never be anyone to rival Lapin.

#ask #nonbinarywithaknife #thank you so much #lapin cadbury #i was thinking about how my favorite characters are often the religious arc ones - lapin kristen efink #but how for kristen and efink it isn't really about the religion #but for lapin it is #especially on this day i can't help but think about how jewish lapin always seemed to me #how he was living under this tightly controlled church while holding different outlawed beliefs #about how his relationship to religion was about wrestling with gods #arguing with them not supplicating himself to them #how he was trying to convince the rocks the necessity of staying safe of surviving #its not a perfect analogy to be sure #there are frustrating things in acoc about the sugar plum fairy being the same as the bulb ultimety #and people better versed in jewish practice than me could think differenty #but i always saw in lapin the experiences i had living as a jew in an oppressively christian society #is this too personal...maybe #i have post yom kippur brain which is to say not much brain at all
