ok so if there’s an au where spider‘s mother is grace, what about an au where kiri‘s father is quaritch, but they don’t find out until he comes back?

It's a great question. I think logically, it's easier for Neytiri to get over with Kiri being a Na'vi. There's not as much of that humanness that she doesn't trust, that scares her. And what there is, she can attribute to Grace.

However, if they know this information with them as kids it means she has to confront and get passed that trauma sooner. What about Spider makes him so much less trustworthy than Kiri, even if they have the same father? I think it would lead to a lot faster of a healing process for Neytiri. But, if they don't learn this until Quaritch comes back, I'm sure there would be a lot of denial before the horrible acceptance. Then I think it would go similarly to the way it goes most times I've described it. The end result is the same. Neytiri has to be able to move past her trauma to accept now both of her children.
