i really wish earthling ed would talk to some native vegans especially and black vegans, but also religious vegans like jewish and muslim. and also homeless vegans and other most commonly used as cannon fodder for arguments

not as i think that he particularly needs to change his views on things, he seems like he recognises everything ive talked about before

but with his kind approach, his resources, and overal profesionalism of his videos plus his reach, i feel like its really help not only non vegans understand what veganism actually is and to understand the nuances the movement recognizes

but also to help give these groups a voice. and hopefully something that can be linked to to be easily digestible other than reading a novel sized reply

and like obviously the whole movement was built on animal rights originally, but i personally like to focus on the affect it has on humans as a whole

and it sucks that thats not his approach, which is fine. i just wish i had the energy and was as articulate and patient as he is lol

#i can never take my novels and make them shorter #bc like sometimes i say that technically someone can eat meat and wear fur and still consider themselves vegan #but then i also have to say 'but not in the way you think'#but i have to elaborate and how cacan i elaborate in less than like #3 paragraphs #thats why i wish there was a new name with no history of people misinterpreting what it is #no dieters co opting the term. no prior idea of how vegans are #like i tell ppl veganism is the vegan society definition and they outright tell me no its not #that others have a different definition #and like no. you are mistaken. and its not gatekeeping to say they are mistaken with identifying as vegan #there is literally one base definition and thats thr original coined definition #but dieters and vegetarians ruined it and militants that call themselv3s vegan #but dont even support slaughterhouse workers #or ppl who work at mcdonalds #you arent vegan then. bc POSSIBLE AND PRACTICAL #which translates to: as long as youre doing your best to avoid animal use and exploitation then youre vegan #i like to add in necessary to include indivuduals within a religion or culture #but yeah you cant be vegan if youre not supporting those who dont have a means to go plant based or are forced to work somewhere #or whatever someones reason. bc it literally goes against the definition
