Amy, however, pushes her own PC to it's limits to make shit look as beautiful as possible, and she has a whole slew of texture packs that she's organized and uses. She's the screenshot lover, and the primary builder of the group. -Omega isn't in the server because he would not stop asking for mods that add explosives so he gets his own modded world where it's just.... always chaos. -Amy is also the primary server moderator, while Tails helps her with the technical stuff. -Rouge has been banned and unbanned like 14 times for stealing so now they shut down the server if Amy or Tails isn't online to make sure she doesn't cause trouble again. -Sonic, as you've mentioned, tends to explore a lot, so the others often find random dirt huts every 1000 blocks or so from when he forgets to take food with him and his sprint runs out at night time lol -Knuckles is the primary mining dude, he also absolutely refuses to give up his emeralds to trade with villagers because he wants to rebuild his home ruins in Minecraft and hopes to use emerald blocks for that. -Shadow is.... a bit of a wildcard??? He just tends to do whatever the hell he feels like, which is either building onto his house made of an assortment of random blocks, or causing absolute fucking mayhem for everyone else. He's also the one who spends his EXP on naming his weapons the most batshit insane stuff. -There was a moment in time when they were all in a VC together that Sonic said "Oh hey I found Shadow!" and not even 5 seconds later the message "SpeedyBoi was slain by XxUltimateShitlordxX" appeared in the in-game chat -Tails most likely helped set up some of their Minecraft accounts so many of them ended up stuck with names they absolutely did not choose

Honest to god it is the best and only honest media portrayal of Ukrainians who had to grow up in the shadow of the 1986 disaster. If you don't have time, pick up Stalker: call of pripyat, it's the best in the series and i believe to be the most refined in the series in terms of gameplay mechanics. If you have too much time, download the mod for call of pripyat; call of chernobyl. It combines all the maps throughout the entire stalker series and adds two more including the truck graveyard, a place near chernobyl where all of the vehicles that were used in the subsequent evacuation were left to decay. Legit the devs of the mod modeled that level when they went to chernobyl to gain inspiration for the mod they were making.

Anyway onto the quick list of reasons I believe this game illustrates a lot of the feelings that people who suffered through the tragedy of chernobyl.

1. The game is fucking bleak. Initially starting out in the game is a fucking struggle. You'll die, a hell of a lot. New anomalies will pop out at you, the best gear in the game refuses to prevent instant death headshots from an npc with a decent rifle (and they hit those shots more often than not), deadlier mutants will crop up the closer you get to the power plant itself and radition suits themselves can only prevent so much against radiation when you get into the super radioactive pockets around the chernobyl npp itself, most of which will kill you if you tarry in one place for more than nought but a few seconds and leave your character with an hugely declining health bar if you do manage to get out in time.

2. The environment: Every map, every zone has been given great care and detail to the regards of the exclusion zone itself. The more outlandish levels have taken creative inspiration from the zone, while some levels such as the npp, the truck graveyard (from the mod) and pripyat itself have been modeled detail for detail of the real exclusion zone. The lighting, sound and color scheme of the entire game is just fantastic. This'll be my smallest section because i don't want to spoil but, there are about roughly 7 different endings, 5 of which are the bad endings. 2 of them are the more secret endings, and the supposedly good ending does not give the outcome you would expect from a good ending in a game. (Shadow of Chernobyl has this multi ending line, Clear sky is a prequel, pripyat is the sequel. Get call of chernobyl and get doctor x's quest lines if you want to play through all 3 stories in one game)

Stalker is fantastic and its also dirt cheap on steam. Go get it, have yourself a fucking experience.

Also there are a tonne of mods so the game just keeps on giving.

Don't get the Russian ones though, or at least be prepared for one of the most coked up experiences of you life with no relation to the disaster of 1986
