Stranger Things subverts expectations in that when a character is referred to as gay in the first episode it actually means that that character is gay

#i knew will was gay since ep one and its not me bragging or anything its literally not that hard to pick up on #if you were in the camp of ppl who didnt believe it because of being vexed before… i get it tho #this is our show where we refer to the two main characters as a gay couple and actually bring that up multiple times #but if you think theyre gay ur a stupid gross homo #@ bbc sherlock #but at this point… cmon #‘will is gay???’#i still see comments like that on instagram and its sad its really sad
