You have been a huge fan of Reneé for the longest time, you have seen her on Broadway and ever since then you have been in love. You were so happy when you got tickets to her concert, you have been counting down the days to go and it has finally come, getting ready with your friend was the best feeling ever, you were so nervous knowing that you got VIP tickets, I mean, you were excited to meet her, but you were also very nervous. 

The thought of it still hasn't hit yet, but you have planed what you will say to her because you really don't want to stuff it up. Your friend was currently putting putting you on your eye make up and she wasn't a big of a fan as you, so she wasn't feeling as nervous as you are right now. "You okay?" She asks it sweetly. You breath heavily "Yeah I'm okay.." she smiles, continuing  your make up. 

The time had finally came, you were driving to the concert, It was quite early since you wanted a good place, that was close to the front, you lined up and saw a few others (mostly lesbians) that had already started lining up. You kept practcing what you would say to Reneé, your friend helped calm you down because she could sense your nervousness. 

Time passes quickly you were holding the barricade with a huge smile on your face, you were so excited you couldn't contain your energy.  Time passes and Reneé finally comes on stage, you lose your shit, you can't believe see is right there. As you're singing along will all the words, you're friend taps you on the shoulder to show that Reneé is currently looking at you, you look into her eyes and you scream, making her laugh. 

The show goes on quickly, but Reneé interacted with the audience a lot making sure that everyone had a good time. Its a Reneé Rapp concert, everyone will have a good time no matter what was the only thought on your mind. You were now waiting for the meet and greet you were feeling very nervous as you walked dup to her, "Hi.." you say shyly. She giggles, giving you a big hug.

You're friend is on the side, taking photos and a video of the moment, you pull out of the hug and start to talk. "I love your work so much, you inspire me with your songs and I really wish i could be as talented as you." You didn't even realise it but you were crying, Reneé noticed before you did and wiped your tears with her sleeve. "Oh my god.. I'm so sorry." you apologise for crying but she assures you that it's okay. "You're so sweet..How old are you?" 

"I'm 23." (But tomorrow I turn 23-) She smiles, nodding, the photographer takes the photo and you bid your goodbyes, this moment felt so surreal and you knew you would be sad once it is all over so you cherish every single second of it, and your friend is filming it, so every time you want to watch over it you can. As you left, you were walked away with a smile on your face. 

You spent the car ride back, looking over your videos and smiling at the run night you had, you posted the videos to social media, you don't have a huge platform, but you keep in public because you like to share your life with others, as soon as you posted it, you put your phone down and talked to your friend, who was happy for you. As soon as you got home, you went straight to bed.

You wake up with many notifications from Instagram, you look at it very confused, you check to see that not only did your post go viral but Reneé Rapp had commented, your hands were shaking as you read her comment. 

"Such as sweet girl."

 You were a happy she said girl rather then fan, it made you feel better. You liked the comment and got ready to think of a reply but that was when you got an even more shocking notification. Reneé Rapp had messaged you, at that point in time your friend was still asleep, you were to focussed on this to wake her up, you open the message and you can feel your jaw get wider as you read it. 

"Never in my life have I met a fan that was sweet and as caring as you, (or as pretty) the way you talked to me makes me want to get to know you more, we could start through texts or I could take you out, I don't really mind." - Reneé.

Was Reneé asking you out? Did Reneé just call you pretty? You had so much questions running through your head, the whole thing was to hard to think straight, so you texted back without thinking. 

"I'd prefer to go out :)"

Shit. What if she thinks you desperate? I mean she did ask you but what if this isn't her? your train of thoughts got cut off from the notification sound of her texting back. She said to meet at a certain location at 6pm. It was already 11am, you only had 7 hours to get ready. You hoped out of bed at the speed of light, hoping in the shower, making sure to wash your hair and shave your legs. 

An hour had already passed and you were out of the shower, drying your hair, once you finish you go back into the room and see that you friend is finally staring to wake up. "What are you rushing for?" You're friend askes you, her eyes adjusting to the light. "Oh.. I have a date.." You mumble. Her eyes went wide. "Really, with who?"

You look down, knowing she wouldn't believe you, looking back into her eyes you say, "Reneé..." She laughs, rolling her eyes, waiting for you to say who you are going on a date with, but it never came, she looks into your eyes, "You're serious," you nod, throwing your phone to her, she catches it and reads the chat and her eyes went wide and a big smile appaired on her face.

You got ready for the date, you didn't wear anything way to fancy because you weren't exactly sure if it was a date or not. You just wore a black mini dress with nude coloured heels, Your friend dropped you off and you waited for Reneé, you smiled when you saw her, she was wearing black pants and a cream coloured blouse. "Hi," She smiled. 

"Hi," You blushed, she smiled at you, giving you a small hug, looking at you up and down, "You look really pretty.." She smiles, "you do too." She smiles and you walk in to the place, she opens the door for you, and pulls out your chair. 

You get to know each other more, Reneé is a really good listener, you love the way she looks at you when you tell her about something. You also listen to her, you found out some things  that you would have never guessed about her. 

"My friend was so shocked when she found out we were going on a date with you.." You tell her, she gives you a confused look before saying, "Date?"  

You face goes read out of embarrassment, you try to think of some words to say, you just feel so embarrassed, "Y/n, it's okay, I was just kidding," She giggles, grabbing your hand, you take a deep breath and calm down, "Of course it's a date," You blush, she's so handsome. 

The date came to an end and Reneé told you that she would drive you home, so you told your friend that. As she pulled up into your drive way, as you were about to leave the car, she held your hand, "I had a good time tonight, I really want to go out again," 

You nod, you look into her eyes and see that see is staring at your lips, you look at hers, she puts her hand on your cheek and pulls you in for a kiss, the kiss is nothing big just a light kiss against the lips, perfect for the first kiss. 

You pulled away, she looked into your eyes and smiled. You said goodbye, and finally left, Reneé made sure that you were in the house before driving off. As soon as you got inside your friend was on the couch. "Tell me everything!"

you clicked on the link. the screen shows the studio, chans empty chair, the chat moving so quickly you struggle to read it, and FAM plays softly in the background.

you prop your phone up on the pillow next to you, curling your body on its side, sniffling still but finding comfort in the livestream.

as the song comes to an end, chan takes his seat. “안녕하세요“ he sing songs, smiling. and you smile too.

the live goes on for a little over an hour, and by the end of it you’re feeling a bit better. but you have a sneaking suspicion that once the video ends, so will your happiness. even the thought of that steals away some of your joy.

“stayyy im going to go.” he says. “감사합니다“

he waits a moment as more comments roll in. he reads through them.

‘no don’t go!’ ‘bye channie! remember to rest and eat well!’. ‘사랑해요~~’ ‘big hug??’

you read through the chat the best you could, and you normally don’t comment. but today you weren’t having the best day and his live really helped you, if only for a moment. so you click on the chat bar and begin typing.

“chan, im having a pretty rough day today, but your big hugs always help! thank you for this livestream ❤️”

you hesitated for a moment. reading your comment over and over, wondering if it sounded too cheesy. you decided that it totally sounded too cheesy, but the live was ending and what are the odds of him seeing it anyway? so you press send.

he’s still looking down at his phone, reading the comments.

“you’re having a rough day?” he reads aloud, looking up into the camera. your stomach dropped, and the eye contact was making you blush. “i’m sorry you’re having a bad day.” he pouted. “i’m glad i could help a little.” he smiles and then stands. “for everyone who’s having a bad day, or for anyone who may want one, let’s do a hug” he spreads his arms out wide, “biiiig hugggg” he says, leaning toward the screen.

you knew the smile on your face was goofy as hell, but you didn’t care. you couldn’t help it. he sat back down and said his outro, thanking the stays and doing his signature pose, and then the screen went black.

the smile stayed on your face for longer than you expected. but then the day came crashing back to you, the same thoughts, the same fears plaguing your brain. you let out a sad sigh. you could feel the tears coming on again, so you grabbed your switch, deciding you would try to occupy your brain with video games so you wouldn’t be thinking about your life (mood).

you played for hours, your thumbs moving furiously over the joysticks, until eventually you fell into a fitful sleep. you awoke in the middle of the night from yet another nightmare, your heart beating out of your chest, your face and pillow wet with your tears. you reach for your phone in the darkness to check the time. 2am. but that’s not the only thing you see on your screen. you have an instagram messenger notification. you were instantly confused. no one ever messages you on instagram. you cautiously opened the app and clicked the messages in the top corner. what you saw next had your heart seizing. you had accepted your fate. this was how you died and honestly.. you were okay with it. because on your screen, staring back at you, was a message from bang chan. like thee bang chan. like christopher bahng himself. complete with blue check mark and all.

you sat bolt upright in bed, suddenly not sleepy at all but at full attention. you clicked on his message.

“hey this might be weird.. and im not even sure if you’re the right person im looking for. but this picture and username matches the one on youtube?” -9:04pm

after you sent the message, you couldn’t stop yourself from reading it over and over, analyzing everything you said. you had decided it was a weird message and you shouldn’t have sent it. you were about to freak out when he responded.

Being a football star has it perks, one of them being getting a lot people interested in you. It also has its cons, one of them being all of those people not seeing you as a person but as an object of power. Itoshi Sae always have been full of himself in his daily life, but when it came to women, he actually succeeded the hard task of becoming worst. He could have who he wants, so he wouldn’t bother putting any effort on anyone, always looking down on women who anyways couldn’t have anything to give him that he could take interest in. He was everything, they were nothing. Anyways, his career was too important for him to waste it for things like that.

And then you came along. Oh, don’t misread me, you weren’t worth of his attention either, just a random girl wanting to get a taste of what a famous man like him could be. However, you had a memorable pair of tits, and Sae was tired of being the only one sober in a random party thrown in Spain’s summer. To be honest, you were kind of a pain in the ass, insisting to do it in a hotel and not in a random bedroom or in his car. But Sae was bored and horny, so he listened to all your command and took you back in the city, bringing you into an expensive hotel.

Focus on the way your chest bounced as you were dragging him toward the hotel as the both of you just left his car, he missed the flash that came from a few blocs away.

You talked too much, mentioned is little brother at least twice and Japan national team three times, but Sae couldn’t lie to himself, he actually enjoyed the night he spent beside you. He almost felt like staying up until you woke up in the morning in order to take your number, but didn’t. After all, you were just one fish in the sea.

A few hours later, Sae was staring at his phone. It was rare for him to bother reading Shidou’s text, however the “you cheated you bastard” kind of catch his attention, especially followed by a “it’s all over the news dude”.

For once he decided to relax and enjoy a little time, and then his private life was spread everywhere. At least, you had your moment fame.

Suddenly, a new message popped up on his screen, he didn’t know the number and frowned. “Hi, it’s me from yesterday night (I ask your number to our friend in common)”, Sae sighed and almost didn’t read the rest of text. One night and you were all over him… “I’m very sorry for how things turned, I should have known they would come after me. Again, I’m really sad that you had to be thrown in this, I hope you’ll give me the occasion to make up for it!”, Sae had to read it twice to be sure that he understood correctly.

Still frowning, he typed his name on google. “THE STAR OF THE YEAR CAUGHT WITH A FOOTBALLER IN SPAIN” was all he could find. Flustered, he opened Instagram to check your account, his gaze widened when he realised that he had gained more than 600k in the past hours. On his last post, he founded a new comment coming from Shidou “@youranonymousgirl made that bitch famous”. He suppressed it, but not before clicking on your account and following it.

lately i've been... idk if you can really call it "debating" but i've been interacting with some muslims in the comments of an instagram reel in which a young girl was speaking to a young boy (i want to emphasize that they are both children) and telling him that she wasn't allowed to speak to boys until she was married, because her parents and her religion said so. the boy was sad but replied with something like "oh, alright" and the caption & comments were all talking about how "sweet" the situation was. i commented that i didn't think it was sweet, and actually that's a horrible thing to put in a child's mind. the post never directly mentioned islam and neither did i, but everyone who's been replying to me is proselytizing islam, so. anyway, these are the points that have been thrown at me so far:

it's not wrong because both genders are forced apart from each other

in response to me saying it still enforces an extreme divide between genders and encourages them to see each other as opposites rather than equals: the separation is necessary to prevent rape

there is no rape in islam because of the separation between men and women, rape only occurs in western society because men and women are not separated (...because apparently we cannot expect men to not rape women unless they're physically kept away from them at all times)

rape does not happen between family members, it's just not a real thing, ever (incest doesn't exist?)

if you're interested in a girl you should marry her immediately, because dating leads to cheating

men and women cannot be just friends because "islam and science and psychology says so." one guy said it's because "women can't talk about cars and sports"

in response to me pointing out that what the girl is saying implies that she won't have any say in who her husband is: arranged marriages are better because they always work out and unlike western marriages, they never end in divorce! (i'll give you one guess why that is.)

and that's not including all the personal insults and threats i've received, in just a few days.

i will say this is one of the least challenging "debates" i've ever had, in the sense that almost no point brought against me has any logical foundation and is easily refutable. but it's one of the most frustrating because the problem is that they won't hear me at all, because islam teaches its followers to never consider anything else. it teaches them to accept exactly what they are spoon-fed as the ultimate truth. and this is by no means a problem exclusive to islam, but islam does this kind of control better than any other religion i know. people raised into islam are not taught to think in any logical terms - in fact, they're deliberately taught to avoid thinking logically. logical fallacies are the rule. so not only can they barely form a coherent argument in favour of their beliefs, but they have absolutely no clue how illogical they sound sometimes. when i point out a lapse in logic in something they've said, the response i get is "no, that's true because islam says it's true." no other explanation required. at least, i've sometimes heard people of other religions attempt to use logic or science to prove their beliefs, but with the muslims in these comments, those are unnecessary things to be absolutely avoided - it's like they don't even understand why i'd bother to use them. you can't use logic to get through to them because they've been taught to avoid logic and cling to the mantra of islam-is-true-because-islam-says-so.

I remember a few months ago in one of their (live? Q&A? one of them) instagram things, someone was commenting on how great she sounded, and one of the guys was like "yeah, and she didn't even get training, isn't that so annoying?", it was hilarious 😂 Miss Ma'am is a natural - no wonder Vessel got her (and the babes) to back him 💅

Turntail is fantastic, I've had it on repeat since Thursday. Their music is so interesting and unique, and a great of it is because of her singing. She does this crazy runs and unexpected intervals like it's nothing, and her tone is so so SO clear and stable. Her lows??? Like, honey can go reeeeal low and smooth and real high and crystalline in seconds just like that??

This song in specific, I super appreciate the eerie, melancholic vibes. It's such a great successor to The Collapse (their previous single), but somehow even better. And can we talk about that sexy bassline??? Johnny boy went HARD on it (like he always does. Same with my drummer boy Matt, he's fantastic. Also he writes a lot of the lyrics alongside Lyns, he's fantastic). I love the breakdown bridge and that last chorus so SO much. And the piano??? They always have the most heart-wrenching, soul-crushing, beautiful piano melodies, and yet I get pikachu faced everytime. What can't the queen do. Also, this is the first time they're using a voice effect-tune-thingy so, interesting choice there. The babes sound beautiful as ever too 💖

While my favourite thing from them is still the 1st ep (The Thing With Feathers - please please PLEASE go listen to it. The Downpour and The River are my favourite songs of them, they're so amazing, please I am begging you, you'll love it), you can absolutely hear how much better they get with each new thing they put out. I'm so so excited for when they finally release a full length album, it's been a long time in the making.

If you listen to their latest ep, Dancing In The Face Of Danger, you'll see that they went for a more upbeat vibe (notable on Pyre and Ever The Optimistic), so it feels great to hear the Sad Vibes™ again. Nothing against upbeat stuff (Pyre is one of their best songs fr), but I am an emo at heart sooo... yeah. Miss Birdsong sounds like an elf or some other woodland creature - idk if its just me but you can hear traces of folk music in it and ugh what a combo.

Super super reccomend you hear them live. There are a few recordings on YT, and some of them do feature one or both of the Espera babes too.

Also - do not sleep on their Diamond Eyes cover. Genuinely does NOT feel like a cover AT ALL. Covering Deftones is so daunting because of how unique a they are, and by god those beautiful bastards did it. I do very much prefer their version to the og, she really shines vocally there.

My Thoughts On BOC

I've seen a lot of debate recently about BOC and whether they should be supported/why they should be supported, so I thought I'd compile my thoughts in a post as recently I have moved towards being actively critical of them after a long time being one of their defenders.

The handling of the Build Jakapan situation. (Note: I have a neutral stance on the greater issue.) This was handled extremely badly, in my opinion. I'm not talking about the initial suspension as that's completely understandable, as is BOC no longer wanting to be tied to Build. However they bungled pretty much everything after that. There was ZERO need for a conference at all. If it was done for Build's benefit then BOC could and SHOULD have insisted that it be done immediately to close the door and move on. Instead what we got were brands basically outing what was going to happen on Monday in IG comments, while the fandom as a whole was in a tizzy because people on both sides wanted confirmation and were trying to interpret things. It didn't help that Pond himself was in the comments stirring things up and seen basically having a good time in Japan while his entire fandom was in chaos. Again, this is not about Build fans, fans on ALL sides were angered by this and left in a state of limbo for an entire week. The conference itself was also planned extremely badly. When it was first announced the idea was that both Build and Poi were going to be there, which... Regardless of who you do or don't believe, that was a HORRIBLE idea. When you have almost EVERYONE in the fandom upset with you, you know you've handled things badly.

The remaining uncertainty over the Build situation due to the handling of social media. As of today, the 4 Minutes poster with both Bible and Build's faces remains up on the official BOC instagram. Yes, stuff like this *does* matter. Is it deliberate? Is it an oversight? Is it an indication they still want to work with Build in the future? *Who knows*: and that's the problem. Fans who support Build cling to hope due to its presence. Fans who dislike him are annoyed by its presence. It should have been removed immediately following Build's suspension, and definitely after he resigned from BOC - or clarification as to the status of the project should have been posted.

The seeming cancellation of Barcode's album with zero communication. Link: https://twitter.com/Innomicogni/status/1622125274803638273 I've seen people deflect and say that it's on other parties, which, okay - but again, zero communication. That is not how you treat loyal fans who want to be paying customers.

The mishandling of the BOC twitter account. Last week fans caught that the official BOC twitter account had 'liked' a post questioning Build's tone during the phone call that was recorded between him and Poi. Again I wish to make clear here: whether or not people agree with the tweet isn't the point. It's simply that it's unprofessional for a company like BOC to appear to be taking any stance at all like this unless it is a professional, written statement done after review with a legal team. 'Likes' from their official twitter account are not a good look. The fact that later an anonymous, seemingly burner account surfaced to take responsibility and apologize just makes the situation worse, especially since BOC didn't officially address things, only retweeted this account. Again, unprofessional. If someone on your account makes a mistake: own it. Acknowledge it. Don't retweet some no-name account.

The handling of the cancellation of the Vietnam concert. Personally I find the reasoning behind this questionable, however. The actors should be instructed to say nothing beyond 'we're really sad, we wanted to see you'. Apo commented on safety and this stirred up fans on all 'sides' of the fandom, even his own fans. To make things equal, Bible ran into the same issue even with the word 'circumstances'. There's also the fact that by and large the 'threats' had been debunked and this was not addressed in the post at all - doing so would have blunted some of the attacks, at least. A proper PR team would have been able to handle this. Also, this is not isolated to one segment of the fandom being angry, as I saw anger all around, particularly from Vietnamese MA fans who felt insulted by the lack of communication and late notice. There was also the possibility that BOC did not even get the necessary approval, to which I say, if it's true: oof.

Lastly, and this pains me to say it because I've been in full support of the world tour until now... The fact that the world tour is continuing in spite of the expense of it. I know it's winding down, but still. I've always said well, the actors are having fun, but there comes a point where that needs to go to the back burner. The money could be better spent hiring PR or security! While I always assumed that the world tour was not exactly hugely profitable I assumed that they were at least breaking even, so to hear Pond say that they're actually losing money on it but still doing MORE is honestly astonishing and is poor management. Of course I don't know when they booked the venues but again this points to mismanagement - either they knew awhile ago and didn't publicize it to sell more tickets, OR they organized it late even though they know it's a cost sink for them. Bad handling all around.

The silence on work for the rest of the cast. We know that Apo, Mile, Bible, Tong, Jeff, Barcode, Bas and obviously previously Build all have work. However we know nothing about the rest. If I'm being charitable and presume that they have something planned, then my concern is that they're not publicizing or promoting these actors at all. Not only that but they are bringing on more, and doing a reality show? To me this smells of a company that is going to spread itself too thin trying to do too many things at once.

The fact that most of the above are all within THE LAST TWO WEEKS. I'm not even addressing the other issues that have cropped up over the last seven months or so. They've had to do more than a few apologies/corrections, most of which could be mitigated with a good PR team and/or translator.

Please don't take any of this to mean that I don't support the actors. I DO. And honestly, if BOC shows signs of getting a proper PR team and better management - then I will happily return to supporting them. I WANT to return to supporting them because I adore Bible and Mile and Apo and Tong and Us (and the others, to a lesser extent).

I hate that I find myself thinking that maybe they would be better off elsewhere, with a more experienced company that will take the time to invest in better PR and management. They have fifteen artists (maybe more, now) depending on them, so I really hope that they can get their shit together and make a success of things. They have some extremely talented cast members and I would hate to see them go to waste and right now I'm worried that's what is going to happen.

I'm sure that some will disagree and I respect that, but I just wanted to put this out there as I've seen some debate as to why people have issues with BOC and how they've handled things recently.

Everybody in this show needs a THINK chart lesson and therapy!

totally checks out that Marcus would comment on their relationship to journalists.....

Stella and Rosh would've been cute but also I think Rosh would've found her insufferable. I was worried that it was gonna turn into a whole thing where Fredrika would find out Stella was into her and like call her disgusting or something and /truly/ I could not handle that.

Not that I want August to be next in line but Wille trying to balance being prince and being with Simon is making him AND me crazy.

Speaking of August..... I actually feel better about him this season. his ed storyline is quite interesting and it makes sense for his character. I was truly gobsmacked when Simon very frankly called him out and then nobody said anything. He has such sad eyes and hates himself so much already it makes it hard to wanna dogpile on him lol

The b plot about the racism and ostracism Felice faces should've happened in season 2 to be fleshed out more. I understand that its a part of the issues coming out about the initiations but its unfortunate that she won't get more screen time for it.

So many times in this season you are reminded that you are watching a show about rich teenagers at an elite boarding school and so they're going to be socially unconscious and tone-deaf to everyone besides their own, which is annoying but it is just a show.

Vincent being so butthurt about the restrictions was so unserious he was so annoying.

Wille was getting on my nerves a bit. His actions are in line with his character but its frustrating when things would be like 90% better if he like chilled for a sec. Its obviously more complicated than that cos he hasn't had even a moment to process anything that's happened in this show ever.

Simon being so sad while deleting his Instagram was kinda funny cos like he could've archived everything or made his profile private, blocked ppl. e.t.c but I get it, he enjoyed sharing his music and that's how he deals with things, so that outlet being cut off is hard.

I swear half of the runtime is people wordlessly staring at each other.

Ideally Wille and Simon have a happy ending, and it would make more sense for that to happen over another season but since this is the last I don't necessarily see things being wrapped up in a satisfying way. like yeah is it not really realistic for everything to be 100% rainbows and sunshine but for the sake of my happiness I need a hopeful resolution. Whether that's Wille realizing he could never emotionally handle the crown and choosing to prioritize his relationship with Simon, or choosing the crown and letting Simon go. He could also end up with neither! if he decided to dedicate himself to the crown he would sink further into depression and anger over not being able to be with Simon and if he chose to be with Simon he would still have the same baggage and I think some resentment. It would be slay if he could have both the crown and Simon but I think what the story has been telling us so far is that that is not possible. OR maybe that it is possible, with the power of love, which could result in a copout happy ending or a more realistic but hopeful ending!

In regards to the influencer post about getting hate: forreal, this is the first book release that I’ve been a part of the fandom for and the behavior of some people really ruins the experience.

So many hateful comments, unnecessarily starting fights with strangers on both Instagram and TikTok (and I’m lowkey pissed bc the Today Show is intentionally feeding the arguments to boost their posts)

And people can claim it’s Gwynriels all they want but the ONLY hateful comments I can find are E/riels. I wish Sarah wouldn’t bait people to start arguments (girl knows what she’s doing in those interviews) but I’m a little heartbroken because I got into these books because they gave me hope and I thought others felt the same.

Attacking people on Instagram, tumblr, and TikTok just because they ship differently than you is CRAZY. And the hate towards Gwyn is sad, she’s objectively a wonderful character😅

Bullying is never ok and what makes the entire case with the influencer terrible is that the girl literally has nothing to do with the fandom or the ship war so these lunatics could have left her alone. With the Today Show interviews , to be fair literally nothing changed in terms of what we already know. It still made it pretty obvious it is Azriels book and that he does mostly have a mate, here is the key thing people miss.... Elucien's bond being accepted or rejected has nothing to do with Gwynriel.... Az wants a mate and if that mate is Gwyn they are endgame simple as that ....

If it was Elains book Lucien would have been mentioned in some capacity but that never happened , it was Elain and Gwyn with Az as the focus thereby further proving it is Azriels book . We also know Azriels feelings for Elain were never really deep. So, I have no doubt that Gwynriel is end game , how can anyone refute Canon info?

The hate towards both Elain and Gwyn is unnecessary. I am not a fan of Elain but I would never relentlessly make shit posts about her. She is not a character I prefer and indifference is as far as I would go.

Yes, I am disappointed that the interview did fuel the ship war , we all beat our chest and spill our hearts when two fictional females are being put against each other.... Yet here we now have two groups of real young women who have been pit against each other , it goes against everything I believe in, this fandom has basically fostered the most unhealthy environment of women pulling other women down... We are never going to win the battle with Feminism aka equality if we keep being each others enemies instead of atleast tolerating one another enough to grant dignity and respect ... and I was upset for all sides and this the truth....

These are young impressionable women and the publisher is most certainly taking advantage of the passion they have .... If the book is only a year away like they claim they could have just said whose book is next so people had time to process and get on board. Would the publisher have kept the news on who the book is about if it wasn't for the ship war? I think we all know the answer to that.

I am sorry this has been your first experience with the fandom and while I understand it's been hard I would request you to hang in there because there is a wonderful side to this fandom too, one that you will see during events , with friends and we are also officially entering the ACOTAR Era and its going to be exciting 🤗

i have such a weird relationship w/ my comic, where it makes me really fucking sad but it’s also the thing i enjoy most. 

i’m honestly grateful it’s doing as well as it is for over 120 eps in in an obscure genre that like 1% of WT readers care about. i know it has a core audience and at least a chunk of them are gonna be here until the end. but man is it also depressing just to see the inevitable drop in readership of a comic 120+ and 4 years in. I know I have readers but it’s so depressing to stumble across a forum titled “name your fav webtoons” or “name what ur reading” and it having like 20394802384 comments and not a single mention of CoB. It reminds me just how insignificant my work is and how little reach it has outside of WT itself. 

I want to keep doing comics for the rest of my life but I don’t know if I have the following to ever create something w/ half the success of CoB, which isn’t even a success in my eyes. It’s just something exists and some people enjoy it. I know the numbers on CoB aren’t the smallest but like fuck, I can’t even get those numbers to follow me on twitter and instagram or to get them to even mention me more than twice a year on reddit. What are the chances those numbers will follow me to my next comic? 

Its sad. I feel like my comic career has peaked but the peak wasn’t even a mountain. It was like a big hill at most. 

But all that said, I know a lot of people would probably read this and tell me I should take a break or something. But I... really? Don’t? Want to? Despite all this, there’s nothing I enjoy more than just...working on my comic. Even rn as I’m feeling like utter shit, I’m just typing this over my morning coffee and can’t wait to just sit down and get to work today. The result depresses me. The numbers dropping every time I post, the lack of reaction and constantly being told “oh i haven’t caught up in ages” by the small percent who do still follow me (seriously, please stop telling creators this. ik you mean well but it kinda hurts). but the actual creation? i love it. i love turning my brain off, putting on a youtube vid, and working on this comic all day. i love turning on my brain occasionally to figure out cool new way to do assets or lighting or FX, i love solving a plot hole that’s been in the way for ages, i love making character designs, i even love making the little google spreadsheet and inputting the numbers to calculate all my expenses for line art and translation fees. i love making my comic!!!!!! i never want to stop. 

but every week when i see smaller numbers and less and less interest, i get so scared and sad knowing i might have to stop after CoB. That I might not have the following to keep doing this for the rest of my life after CoB. That even if my next comic gets greenlit (something I doubt more every week that my numbers drop), what are the chances it’ll pull the numbers CoB did and do well enough to tell the full story?

god, I remember...

ok so I dont have a connection to superhero movies. superhero anything really. I can list it quite easily

I used to watch the 90s spiderman, xmen and batman as a kid. spiderman was my fave. get in from school, throw on spiderman. then the tobey maguire spideys came out and he was my first ever big crush. then the xmen movies came out and I saw all 3.

so that was before the MCU did its thing, and superheroes took over. I saw the first iron man and that's it all the way up until the first avengers. never saw the captain americas, never saw the thors, never saw the follow up iron mans. and pretty much any of them that have come after it UNTIL... Deadpool 1

and I was a Deadpool hater. I still am. I believe that characters are different per medium, and I do not like comic!Deadpool and I made that clear on tumblr back in the day before the movie came out. so I went to see the movie to see if it was gonna be... well, as misogynistic as comic!Deadpool was

I wasn't that big of a fan of the first movie. there's a scene that misogynistic fanboys take out of context all the fucking time. but I consider Deadpool 2 to be one of the best movies ever made. and... very feminist, honestly.
