that post about venting to your friends and people coming up with a million and one excuses that they never want to help their friends through their problems is making me mad and its hard to articulate why without sounding like a dick but it basically boils down to "anything that makes me even slightly uncomfortable is banned" mentality and i just think some of these people need to buck the fuck up and recognise that momentary discomfort or awkwardness will not kill you or traumatise you.

#like honestly sometimes you just have to suck it up #if you dont have the mental space for a friend venting then you can ask them to hold on for five minutes #sometimes i tell my friend to send it to me anyway but i cant answer right away and yknow what it helps them!#but if your reason is just 'its haaaard' then oh my god please just get over it #like just let them vent youll fucking survive listening to something mildly difficult that isnt even affecting you #if your friend cannot vent to you what are your friends even for #text #im passionate about this
