going balls deep into a hobby is watching 40 minute videos from 5 years ago about an incredibly specific technique/solution to a problem you're having
#🍊fruit.posts🏀#yeah its not weird long form content fuck fast media etc etc#just makin the observation that im unclogging the pipe from my mess of a brain#by actively learning something online instead of doomscrolling#also it really highlights how much youtube evolved in 5 years#videos r more well edited and have better ig production value now#but it seems like theres more emphasis on marketing and the algorithm#instead of like say. if you know how to do this thing then you make a tutorial about it and clean the footage up a little and then boomah#now its more how do i edit this in a way that will keep your attention hooked in the first 10 seconds#how do i sell this to you#how do i appease the algorithm#not saying in a back in my day way. we just got better programs and tools now yeah#but priorities shifted from casual to competitive a lot#im guessing it has to do w the fact that youtube Is A Job Now#idk whatever. just a silly post
