After reading the absolute brain burner that is Gao Neng Er Wei Ma, I needed a sweet no-brainer fast paced romance so I started Qi Wei Shang / The Wife is First… and (mild spoilers) did the ML just open a fucking LUBE BUSINESS???

#I was wary about this novel coz I get the ick when characters refer to their male spouse as ‘wife’ but the novel has a canonical explanation #for it. And it’s more of an indicator of status than sex position so.#I don’t. like. the casual misogyny tho. like the female character slander is just so unnecessary #but ngl seeing a bl character engage in Chinese gong dou drama is funny #the wife is first #qi wei shang #danmei
