I'M TRYING TO APPRECIATE MY FAMILY AND IMPROVE MY RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEM BC THAT'S IMPORTANT IN LIFE AND IT'S GOOD TO HAVE A NETWORK LIKE THIS, BUT IF THEY COULD STOP BEING ISLAMOPHOBIC IT WOULD CERTAINLY HELP

#hi cousin something i haven't seen in two thirds of a decade it's good to talk again #sure hope you aren't gonna launch into the description of how you're such a good atheist who doesn't care about people's lives #but really your daughter's muslim husband with his dumb and negative ideas to get his kids in contact with religion!#they worn born here after all! and him too! they're romanticizing their country of origin!#our traditions aren't even religious really so why does he express mild discomfort? the kids love it!#and my aunt who doubles down by quoting a guy so right wing even the righties don't want him #saying he went too far but really he's not wrong #i always get blindsided because they're the fun side of the family #long hair and boho style and plays music etc etc #so i think they're chill people #BUT NO! THEY JUST WAIT UNTIL THEY'VE GOT YOU CONVINCED THEY'RE COOL AND KIND #AND THEN THEY START SPEWING THIS JUDGEMENTAL CONDESCENDING HATEFUL SHIT #i tried arguing a little just sideways you know #this motherfucker says THINGS about his own damn grandkids.....#he told them a name was too muslim and that'd bring problems lmao #there was a kid named exactly that in my elementary school class he didn't have any fucking problem #you're the one who has a problem my guy the kid is gonna turn out fine as long as you shut your fucking mouth around him and his siblings #it makes me so fucking mad #broadcasting my misery
