#either that or wealthy parents haha#but seriously so many people who freelance fulltime the only reason they were able to take the risk is because they had a partner#in fact i can't think of anyone i know who is single and freelances full time#they all have part time or second jobs outside of the arts to keep them going between contracts#also even if you get full time studio work a lot of it is short term contracts so you're in and out of work a LOT#so having a partner to support you is honestly key to survival in this industry lol#am i bitter about this?#yeah immensely so tbh#as a single person i would benefit so so much from universal basic income
