okay this is so random but it popped in my mind just now and I have to share it.
I feel like a lot of the fandom head canons(and honestly canon stuff that we play up/ exaggerate because we unfortunately only have crumbs front the show) about Leon are very autistic coded and I love the thought of that. like his fixation on crossbows? a hyper fixation. and the commonly used "Leon gives very detailed grain reports" in fics? the whole "perfect knight who follows rules very carefully thing"? please tell me someone else sees what I see
#autistic!leon#bbc merlin#knights of the round table#leon#merlin#if theres anything probablamatic or offensive about this plz let me know#absolutely not my intention#i have autism#but that obviously doesnt make me immune to saying/thinking problematic things#i just want some representation

is it really that surprising that minors ship beetlebabes? im an adult and dont ship it for obvious reasons but if i was like 14/15 i could very easily see myself projecting onto lydia and shipping it. That doesnt make it okay obviously but i think minors should be given some slack...
slack yeah sure i dont like to interact with minors in the same capacity as i do with the adults mostly because honestly the adults really are so much worse on the whole so i dont really have to deal with minors because it seems a lot of them keep to themselves
i dont however think that minors are exempt from being classified as problematic on the whole they are making the conscious decision to do something that is in fact problematic and im not going to just sit by and say oh its ok if you draw/write/consume content of a 30 year old man and a 15 year old girl as long as you yourself are a child like that isnt okay no matter who you are projections aside you can think critically and see why thats wrong and move away from the toxic aspects and focus on positive things instead
minors arent exempt from criticism i will definitely be softer with them and more understanding because as ive said previously ive been in their place before and i am pretty certain that a lot of opinions will change as they grow as mine did
it isnt cruel to point out that time moves forward and people change
i want the best for young people and to me the best means not engaging in content that could get them in trouble or hurt
the tricky thing with minors in fandom spaces is that simultaneously some of them want to be treated like adults but also they often back down and use their age as a barrier as if to say oh im immune to criticism because im a kid but then they talk about how theyre very mature and can handle all this content its honestly very confusing and hard to keep up with which is why i on the whole try to limit my interactions with too many minors outside of things like art or cosplay
again i say i want the best for people and i dont want people thinking fiction doesnt effect reality because it does for so so so many people and i really dont want more people like the really awful beetlebabes shippers out in the world for my sake and for the sake of future fandom people
no one has to listen to me though im a clearly slightly unhinged idiot on the internet im not your parent or guardian or anything i just have been where they are and i know that can do better
its true i am losing my touch and im sorry i should be done with my second job next week and maybe then i can return to form

bro how do grown adults still argue abt if you’re allowed to call somebody ugly or not and WHY are they so whiny and evasive about being asked to do the bare minimum work to be a decent person. ‘[subject being called ugly] is Problematic im talking specifically abt THEM not calling other ppl with this trait personally ugly 😒 stop being so sensitiveee’ ok how do you not get that it doesnt matter who ur talking abt but what you are saying and thinking. have you considered your bad thoughts just. matter bc they are bad. like the mere concept is literally the problem. why are you so in your own world abt this. my concern is that you legit just are Not body positive if u will make fun of ppls bodies and think certain traits are ugly and deserve mockery, that is not okay, it deserves consequences bc thats fucking stupid and shitty of you, having that ingrained WILL cause problems and hurt ppl without you recognizing it, and you should do better.
its not just about nobody ‘deserving’ body shaming on a personal level, which is fucking true, but its more that YOU shouldnt body shame, and YOU should do better at sympathetic reasoning, because the impact of YOUR everyday behaviors is probably worse than you realize if you’re so comfortable defending being this nonchalantly corrupt. like... why is your focus always on other peoples reactions, and not on your own actions. how do you legit believe your toxic thoughts and behaviors cant have any potential consequences outside of 1v1 interactions. bro idc how you try to justify your times of immorality, idc if ur discussing the devil incarnate, if your comments arent relevant to anything ‘problematic’ and are instead jabs and jokes about big noses, acne, thinning hair, fat rolls, crooked teeth, strabismus, dark circles, extra body hair, bone structure, aesthetic choices, the way a person smiles, the way they pose, the way their body fucking exists, idc who its about!!!! i care abt you. i care abt the fact that you actually think this way. you are openly admitting you actually find this stuff ugly, have >accepted< it, and are okay with voicing this attitude any time you think you can get away with it. you’re even putting it alongside discussions of justice and harm reduction as a ‘gotcha’ moment for your foes, like ‘ugly=bad’ is so ingrained in you its just an obvious thing to joke about and in your mind its as personally important and beneficial for your cause to get to make that joke as it is talking about the harm someone has done at face value. that speaks volumes. its N o t about who you say it to. its wrong for You to personally believe in, uphold, and VOICE toxic beauty standards in ANY way. beauty standards are filled with racism, fatphobia, classism, ableism, sexism, and every other fucking -ism- and -phobia imaginable, plus just generalized toxic judgment that doesnt belong in your personality. you shouldnt be okay with that. thats wrong of you. you need to take accountability and be responsible, cant be good >sometimes< when its convenient and itll get you praise, you need to unlearn this shit. you need to stop trying to trade in decent behavior for indecent behavior. its not a prize booth. you’re attempting this whole ‘good person’ thing for the wrong reasons.
for the love of god, if you consider yourself an activist, or even just a decent person, practice looking outside yourself more. when you spout this shit, in your mind you are hurting one person, the person you are trying to hurt. but what you’re actually blatantly saying is “i find these traits ugly, if i ever told you i dont, i was lying to you. i only pretend i dont think these traits are ugly to other ppl because >they< are probably a nice person, so i dont wanna hurt their feelings or w/e. cuz i mean obviously like everyone else i DO think its ugly deep down and just act like im progressive abt it, but i wont be real and admit that its actually ugly unless you Deserve(TM) my true feelings on it!! ill only revoke my kind pity lies the second somebody gives me an opportunity :/// im only hurting this one person even though im making fun of them for a trait others have, and are already mocked for having rampantly which is Why i find it ugly, thus contributing to the stigma. not only that, other people in ur space that you thought you could trust are gonna agree and laugh with me about this. im being nice!! this will not hurt anybody i dont want it to!! i am woke’ yeah anyways you are not immune to propaganda reaction image blah blah blah grow up and do better on a personal level please thanx this act is getting old
