me infodumping to my bedroom abt the doctor's identity shifting between regenerations and yet still distinctly being Them and keeping some of the same beats:
#e.g. all doctors r genderfluid bc they're all the doctor#but. for example#6 is described as aroace whilst 8 is described as bisexual (or some other mspec label)#11 and 12 seem to be somewhere in the middle#if i Had To give the doctor a solid identity. they'd be aroace-spec and bi#maybe more specifically aroflux/aceflux#but that's not strictly necessary bc it's regularly established that their relationships and emotions shift between regenerations#see: every time a companion meets 2 separate doctors they're treated differently even if it's only a slight difference#clara oswald w 11 and 12 is the most obvious example to come to mind#as well as rose tyler w 9 and 10#idk idk im. infodumping a bit#og
