hey aint it crazy that in the cishet marriage contract, especially as its taught in conservative circles, the man owes the woman money (eh) and protection (In this day and age? unlikely) and the woman owes the man sex and children and food and a clean home and companionship and nursing and mothering. notice how "owing" means she's in the wrong for denying sex, and she can die trying to create children. especially in this terrible country. this contract is uneven.

#angel posts #this isn't to sy that all marriages are like this #but the really transactional ones #the business relations the ones entered into purely for material benefit #like.....okay he works a 9-5 and she is risking her life #its her job to do that???#and even if she's pregnant + sick the worst of the worst will say no you owe him sex too?#because of his damn status as Husband and the 9 to 5?#even if its more hours than that #even if its infinite hours #thats somebody's life your demanding what the hell #whoever said heterosexuality was a regime was right
