my flatland confession that i feel is gonna alienate me from 90% of the fandom on tumblr is i do not like the film
#... also that even in flatland rereads i often just stop reading once the sphere gets there#i konw the satire doesn't END there obviously there's some juicy stuff#but the worldbuilding of flatland as a society is what i love about the book#i do appreciate how batshit the film is at least#also the creator saw my long liveblog thread where i nitpicked it to hell and back and also criticized him for being a right wing libertari#and then he said my liveblog was really funny and followed me on twitter which was admittedly not the reaction i was expecting
