Many thoughts about how the doctor still feels guilt for Adric after all this time. Like the doctor was right, they never stopped, they just dived headlong into the next adventure to try and forget about it.

It's also kinda funny considering they're not nearly as hung up on Katarina and Sara

#like okay i know they didnt travel for nearly as long and adric was just a kid but still #but then if you get into the companion fates (espec eu) then it gets quite long and traumatising #no wonder 14 decided to take a break #dw spoilers #i do enjoy a good reference though i have to say #a teen died in their care and theyre never going to forgive themself for that #also unrelated but i genuinely jumped up when i spotted mel in the out of focus unit shot #so glad to see her again <3 #and ncuti killed it im so hyped to see the next episode
