#but we got none of that and that makes me said cause baxter's story could have as easily been as powerful as derek!

Note
i do wanna hear all you have to say about baxter and derek’s dlcs!! bc idk not to be a bitter bitch, but never fully understood baxter’s hold on everyone lmao, even prior to his dlc. but even after the dlc i was still kinda just like eh that felt both forced and kinda boring. derek on the other hand…. you’re right. easily the best dlc
AND JUST WHEN I THOUGHT I WAS DONE WITH ANSWERING ASKS LMFAO (dw i love these please ask me more questions i love being asked questions on things esp this) Sorry anon but this is a Long one cause this ended up being a thinkpiece
But yeah... Baxter is a weird character you are admittedly not Supposed to like from his introduction. His introduction was essentially a stranger flirting with you so it gives him the impression of a victorian fuckboy. And then you play cove's hang and boating and he's polite and friendly but definitely guarded. Which doesn't admittedly make me a ton excited for him initially because he doesn't allow us to get comfortable in his presence.
However when I got into OL as a whole, it was end of January 2022 and the wedding dlc came out not even a week or so later and I was so pleasantly surprised by how... Humble Baxter became in step 4. You might ask "what does that mean?" but essentially beyond his professional enthusiasm, Baxter actively seemed miserable with his life that didn't involve work from what we could tell in his dance lesson with the mc and you know what! That's actually a compelling plotline! That sold me far more on Baxter than anything step 3 beforehand did Unfortunately, wedding DLC baxter before any revisions with the release of Baxter's dlc was the best Baxter's writing was going to get. What we got was a TON of Baxter monologuing at the mc and not an actual conversation between Baxter and the mc. There should have been way more points in the DLC where the mc should have interrupted him or done Something but the mc is so actively quiet that their silence is Palpable and that wouldn't be so damn bad if the mc wasn't the character we're playing as. We're just supposed to sit there and take a lot of the asshole behaviors Baxter exhibits in step 4 and then feel bad when he's in his pity party despite the fact he has done nothing but consistently step over his own boundaries with the mc. The whole dlc gets actively weirder if the mc is in a relationship with Cove btw, the platonic route with baxter is Awful and weird. There's also the fact that step 4 Baxter seemingly is now super well adjusted to being working/ middle class when I know for a fact that the change from being super wealthy to dropping down a few classes when that wouldn't be the case. Baxter should have stayed a mess in the mornings in Step 4 but he cleans up quick. Certain quirks like that actively humanize him in a endearing way. It seemed like the devs ironed out any of his nuances in favor for a more general easy to digest story that was also quicker to push out but the issue was that when they ironed out any nuances, they also ironed out what originally made Baxter soooo compelling in the first place. There's no theme or narrative writing that you're supposed to take away from Baxter's story. Cove and Derek's story was about growing up; Cove's more particular theme was growing into himself as a person and being comfortable in his own body and Derek's story was about the consequences of grind culture and overworking yourself at such an early age and where do you go after you realize you pursued a fruitless goal since you were a Child. Baxter's story should have been about self preservation after cutting off family that are actively awful and the errors of self isolating to the point where you hurt everyone else under the guise of "protecting yourself" but what we got was forced fluff.
TLDR; due to the devs wanting to push out his dlc fast enough, they glossed over so many aspects of Baxter that made Baxter interesting and what we got was just a watered down version of what Could have been.

Fantastic Four # 9 - 12
Tumblr media
Warning, Spoilers Ahead…
A Brief Summary: Doctor Doom suffers another embarrassing defeat
Debuts:
·         The Ovoids
·         Impossible Man from the planet Poppup in the Tenth Galaxy
·         Willie Lumpkin
Favorite Cover: #12 – The Fantastic Four Meet the Hulk!
Invisible Girl Hostage Count: 5 out of 9 issues
Points of Interest:
·         The issue opens with Reed using his “electronic x-ray camera” with “radioactive film” in an attempt to learn more about Sue’s invisibility power.  Sue urges Reed to hurry as it’s “hot and stuffy” while “Torch keeps his flame on”.  Said Torch is acting as Reed’s lab assistant. Johnny is taking notes while engulfed in flames – except for his hands.  Between the causal use of “radioactive film” and Johnny walking around in flames, it’s a wonder the group lives long enough to battle Doom later on.
·         The FF’s signal flare appears in the sky. The trio attempts to exit the lab but the door is locked. Johnny decides to burn through the door but is stopped by Reed: “Trying to stop you from blowing us up, kid! Did you forget how sensitive that nuclear device is to heat?!” Johnny was completely engulfed in flames only four panels earlier and Reed didn’t seem to care but now it’s a no-go.
·         Is it safe to keep a nuclear device in the middle of New York City? Especially with Johnny and Ben living in the building. The duo engages in destructive rough-housing on a near-daily basis!
·         Reed attempts to stretch his arm to reach the Fantasti-Car so the trio can leave via the window but the strain proves too much. No worries, as Johnny has learned something new: “I can concentrate my flame so much that it burns without heat!” What?!
·         The trio escapes the lab. Reed decides “Let’s forget the Fantastic-Car. We can make better time without it!” Again, what? Johnny, maybe, but not the other two. And this is the era where Johnny randomly loses power due to “exhaustion”. Wouldn’t it make more sense for Johnny not to use his powers until the group has reached the scene of crisis? Especially when you have an awesome car-plane just waiting to be used?
·         The three head to the source of the flare. Sue causes a car crash with her “now you see me, now you don’t” routine. I never understood how Spider-Man was a “public menace” and the X-Men were “hated and feared” by the general public in comparison to the Fantastic Four in the early days of the Marvel Universe. Spider-Man mostly stopped criminals and the X-Men were isolated in Westchester County minding their own business…meanwhile the Four, in the heart of NYC, can barely go an issue without causing a mass panic or massive property damage…many times caused by Ben having a tantrum!
·         The source of the “emergency” is Ben wanting to show off the new statues Alicia has made of the team’s enemies. Sue protests the inclusion of Namor. Reed questions Sue over her feelings for Namor: “I thought we had an understanding.” Sue admits she’s not sure of her own feelings.
·         Johnny’s glad he’s “not old enough to have all those kinds of mushy problems”.  Karl Kessel’s “Human Torch” series contains pre-transformation flashbacks of Johnny flirting with girls. And he’s flirting with Valeria, Princess Pearla, and soon to be dating Dorrie Evans in the “Strange Tales” series. Perhaps Johnny’s referring to “serious” relationships?
·         Doctor Doom has returned to earth! And decides to storm Marvel Comics and terrorize Stan Lee & Jack Kirby with the sight of his unmasked face?!
·         Doom proclaims: “I do no blame you for shrinking from the sight of me! I still cannot bear to gaze upon my face myself! But I must remove my mask at times else I feel it will strangle me!”
·         Reed has the nerve to question Ben: “What makes you so bad tempered all the time?” Seriously, Reed?!
·         We have a fun moment of Johnny & Ben uniting to prank Reed by stretching his clothes.
·         Doom ambushes Reed. Victor explains he was rescued by the Ovoids, an alien race whose “science and culture were a million years ahead of ours”.  Doom learned many abilities from the Ovoids including the ability to switch bodies with another person. Victor promptly switches bodies with Reed.
·         The rest of the team arrives and subdues Doom (Reed). Ben and Johnny are very excited to have captured Doom (Reed) and devise ludicrous ways to imprison him. Not to worry, Reed (Doom) had devised a cell to contain him.
·         Kirby draws some extremely creepy “Evil Reed” facial expressions.
·         Back at the Baxter Building, the rest of the team is overrun by a herd of miniaturized animals: horses, bears, kangaroos, moose, elephants, cows, camels, zebras, birds, etc. The trio scramble to contain the animals and return them to Reed’s lab: “You know how angry he gets if anyone interferes with his work!”
·         Reed (Doom) returns and the trio questions him – 1) Are these the animals stolen from the zoo and 2) Why are you shrinking animals?
·         Victor spins a story that this “reducing ray” will expand the team’s powers and allow Ben to transform at will. I know Reed is the scientist of the story but that explanation makes no sense. The team chooses not to press the matter of the animal theft and forced experimentation.
·         Doom (Reed) escapes from his cell and seeks the aid of Alicia Masters. Unfortunately for Reed, an invisible Sue was visiting Alicia and knocks him out.
·         Alicia is confused: “How can that be Doctor Doom? There’s an aura of goodness about him…of nobility!” Really, Alicia? You can sense that from an unconscious man in a suit of armor? I wish someone would establish Alicia had minor empathic abilities – otherwise, her “sensing” is ridiculous.
·         Johnny & Ben arrive to defeat “Doom”. Ben is furious that Alicia was threatened: “You tried to scare Alicia, did ya? Nothing can save ya from me now, ya miserable ghoul…I ain’t kidding now! He threatened Alicia! Do ya hear me? He dared to threaten Alicia!”
·         There’s a cute scene where the team takes Doom to the parked Fantasti-car only to discover a group of neighborhood kids palying in it.
·         Johnny and Ben suspect something is off with Reed & Doom so Johnny uses his powers to create a mirage to test their suspicions. I love Silver Age powers – always used in ways that make no sense with actual science.
·         Doom is found out, re-switches bodies with Reed, and shrunk to nothingness by his own reducing ray. The next time Doom achieves god-like powers he should erase everyone’s memories of his ridiculous Silver Age-shenanigans.
·         Issue #11 opens with a cute scene of the team encountering a group of children playing “Fantastic Four”. The team shows off their powers for the children. Johnny wisely reminds the kids “Throwing fireballs is easy for me, fella, but don’t you ever play with fire. It’s too dangerous for little kids.”
·         We meet Willie Lumpkin, the team’s mailman. He volunteers for the team: “I haven’t exactly got any super powers, but I can wiggle my ears real good.”
·         The team goes through their fan mail: Johnny receives love letters; Ben gets pranks from the Yancy Street Gang.
·         Reed has yet another cure for Ben who is understandably wary: “I’m sick of being a guinea pig for you! None of these things ever work right!” Ben takes the cure and transforms back into his human form. Ben, Reed, and Sue are ecstatic. A more cautious Johnny muses to himself: “Poor Ben! If he changes back to the Thing again, I don’t wanna be around to see it!”. Johnny decides to head to the garage to “fool around with my new TR-4!”
·         Reed and Ben recap their meeting in college. Ben was “State U’s football hot-shot”. Despite being polar opposites, “I was a millionaire’ son and he was from the wrong side of the tracks”, the duo quickly became best friends. Their friendship persisted throughout World War II. Ben was “a Marine fighter ace over Okinawa and Guadalcanal” and Reed was “behind the lines, working with the underground for the O.S.S.” The timeline of these events would put Reed and Ben in their late thirties at the time of their transformation into the Fantastic Four.
·         Due to the sliding timescale, the World War II bit has been retconned from Reed and Ben’s past. I think Ben’s time in the military is still part of his background – the era has simply changed. I’m not sure about Reed.
·         Sue had begun dating Reed before he left for the war: “It’s always been you, since we were kids together living next door to each other”. This would be retconned later – Sue and Reed wouldn’t meet until Reed was entering college.
·         Sue brushes off Reed’s devotion as the “shadow of the Sub-Mariner” lies between them. The whole Namor storyline could have been resolved much sooner if it was acceptable for comic book women, or women in general, were allowed to have lustful thoughts about men. Sue hasn’t spent enough time with Namor that didn’t involve threats to her, her family, or the human race in general. Poor Sue isn’t allowed to admit she appreciates Namor’s fabulous body in a tight, small speedo so the audience is left with her swooning over his “gentle”, “conflicted” nature. I love Namor but there has been nothing gentle or conflicted in his FF appearances. Execpt for the time he swam with the dolphins but Sue wasn’t there to witness it.
·         We get yet another recap of the infamous rocket flight. I understand the “every issue could be someone’s first” principle but were at issue #11 and it’s been recapped in half of the books.
·         Sue’s upset because a few pieces of mail state she “doesn’t contribute enough to the team”.
·         Reed defends Sue by saying Abraham Lincoln’s mother didn’t fight but she still contributed?! Kick him, Sue! Kick him!
·         Ben becomes overly excited and turns back into the Thing.
·         The boys surprise Sue with a birthday cake.
·         Impossible Man arrives on Earth, causing confusion and chaos in his wake. The Four battle Impossible Man in the Flamingo restaurant. He eventually becomes bored and leaves the planet. If you’ve seen the Impossible Man of the 2000s Fantastic Four cartoon, you’ve basically read this issue.
·         Johnny uses his powers to create “hypnotic rings” during the fight with the Impossible Man. You’ve got to love Silver Age powers!
·         Issue 12 begins a classic rivalry of the Marvel Universe: the Thing vs the Hulk.
·         Alicia and Ben are leaving a performance of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. Ben comments “I get my kicks from low-down New Orleans Jazz”.
·         The army pours into town and mistakes Thing for the Hulk, prompting a mistaken identity fight.
·         Ben is quite irate over being mistaken for the Hulk.
·         General Ross arrives at the Baxter Building. He wants the Four to locate the Hulk.
·         Ross shows a picture of the Hulk. Sue fades from sight: “The sight of that monster unnerved me so that I lost control of my visibility power!” Really? I don’t buy it. First, it’s only a picture and secondly, she lives with Ben and has battled Skrulls and monsters from Monster Island. It’s not like large creatures are a foreign concept to Sue.
·         Even Ben thinks its bull!
·         The boys show off, proudly proclaiming how he – and he personally – will capture the Hulk. Unfortunately for Johnny, flying around the small room a few times exhausts him flame. I appreciate the time it takes Johnny to master his abilities – it’s more realistic as opposed to the “instant mastery” route but two laps around the living room shouldn’t wipe him out as this point. He’s been the “Human Torch” for months as this point.
·         Reed praises Johnny’s skills as a mechanic: “That flame of his is one of our most potent weapons as well as his mechanical skill.  In fact, I’ll give you a little demonstration! Johnny has just finished modifying our Fantastic-Car!”
·         Johnny encourages Reed: “You tell him, Big Daddy!” In an alternate universe, Johnny married Reed Richards – was that his pet name for him?
·         The Four and the General head to the Southwest to search for the Hulk. The Four meet Bruce Banner and Rick Jones.
·         Reed has “long been an admirer” of Banner’s atomic research. Banner returns the praise: “I’m highly flattered that the most brilliant scientific brain of our time should say that to me”.
·         Johnny both shows-off for and pranks Rick. Neither are impressed with the other. Johnny: “Look at him green with envy! Trying hard not to admit he’s overwhelmed by me!” Rick: “He wouldn’t be so swell-headed if he knew I was the Hulk’s partner!”
·         Johnny tends to dial up the obnoxiousness and showboating when he’s with another teen hero: Spider-Man, Rick Jones, and later, Iceman. Possibly a combination of eagerness to impress/work with someone of his age group and a desire to be the best of said age group.
·         The army base’s saboteur “the Wrecker”, but not the Wrecker, kidnaps Rick Jones causing Bruce Banner to unleash the Hulk.
·         The Four and the Hulk meet up in a “deserted Western ghost town” and fight. Ben finds and frees Rick. Hulk flees the scene.
·         The Four prepare to leave the base. Reed hints to Bruce: “I’ve got a feeling there’s a lot we have to talk about – like you, and Rick, and the Hulk, for instance!”

Callie Reviews: TMNT 2012 Season One (Part Three)
(Part One) (Part Two)
Here is where we look at the season as a whole. For this, I will be looking at four things: Animation, Voice Acting, Characters (Heroes, Villains), and Story. I’ll be going more into depths about some stuff I skimmed over here as well. So lets dig in!
Animation
Tumblr media
This is the Turtles first CGI show... okay yeah the 2007 movie was CGI, but that was a movie. When I first heard this, I was reluctant as I felt like 2D was becoming more and more of a lost out. But the CGI was really good! Mind you it looks a tad bit dated now as every season they pushed more and more to improve it. But still, it’s very well done. I can’t recall any point where I thought it looked bad or cringy...aside form when they wanted you to cringe anyways. What helps is that the show does add in some 2D elements, There’s the comic-style flashbacks of course, but even past that. They use these anime-like quirks like the sweatdrop, blushing, wide blank eyes when reacting in shock, vein burst when a character is angry, all these tiny little things that give it a more cartoony feel. I can’t recall any other Nickelodeon CGI shows that were doing this prior, so it helped it stand out among the other shows.
Tumblr media
Another plus side? The character designs. Aside from a few background characters they re-colored, none of the important characters look the same. Like I know that some don’t like April’s design, but at least they gave her and Karai their own distinct character designs. Then there are the Turtles. Something I don’t like about the upcoming show is how much.. accessorizing they add in to make the Turtles look distinctive. 2k12 kept it very simple. Different heights, eye color, shade of green, and of course body build. For example Donnie, the genius who is mroe invested with machines than training, is both the tallest and most slender. Raph, the strongest, is the most buff and Mikey, the youngest, has larger eyes and freckles to show his child-like nature. And even with Raph,a ll four boys have kind of high school athlete-like builds. Nothing over the top like say... the Michael Bay films. Basically, I can believe that these guys can do the ninja-like agility more than I can with the overly buff, giant versions that have been used.
Tumblr media
When ti comes to the mutants, the animators get creative. There are so many unique mutant sin the show. Snakeweed, Spyder Bytez, Dogpound, Fishface, Splinter, Leatherhead, all the mutants have their own unique design that work for them. They also know when to get creepy, like with the mish-mash... thing... from The Alien Agenda. That was disturbing as heck, and it’s not even the creepiest one they come up with! Oh just wait for next season, haha... but yeah, mutant designs are great!
Tumblr media
Now the settings are kinda... meh. I mean The Lair is cool, but it’s mostly just either the the Lair, the New York landscape, Shredder’s lair, or an empty warehouse most of the time. It’s nothing really... creative I guess is the right word. We also don’t explore new York much, mainly settling on skyscrapers as the setting. It’s understandable why since New York is the setting, but still it juts gets kind of boring after awhile. But for what it’s worth, they do try to do creative stuff when they can like in Baxter’s Gambit with the black and white screens.
Tumblr media
And of course, there is the fight choreography. As I said before, it’s fantastic. All the fights in the series are fluid, well-paced, and fun to watch. If I had to give some examples off the top of my head, there’s New Friend, Old Enemy when the Turtles rise form the water. The mix of black and red is absolutely perfect. There’s the first fight against Shredder in The Gauntlet which despite the boys getting constantly knocked down by Shredder, they give it everything they have. It looks freakin’ badass. Then there is any Splinter fight scene. There’s not many, only about three in this season (It Came From the Depths, I, Monster, The Showdown two-parter) but they are excellent. I said that the Splinter vs Shredder fight was the best and nothing after ever topped it, right?
So yeah, if I was going to rate the animation on a 1-5 scale...
Rating: 4.5
Voice Acting
Tumblr media
The series was voice directed by veteran Andrea Romano, so you know that the performances are gonna be solid. As far as casting goes, they got in a LOT of big names both in the voice acting industry and out. There’s of course Greg Cipes (Mikey), Mae Whitman (April), Nolan North (The Kraang), Kevin Michael Richardson (Shredder), Phil Lamar (Stockman), Clancy Brown (Dogpound) and of course Rob Paulsen (Donnie). Rob’s casting was actually a pretty big deal as along with being a veteran with nearly 30 years of experience, he was also the voice of Raph in the original 80′s show. So getting him back even as a different Turtle? Yeah... that’s pretty big!
Then you have more well-known on-screen actors, like Sean Astin (Raph) and Kelly Hu (Karai). Now they both actually have very solid VA-ing careers and still do voice work to this day, but if you’re say... a Lord of the Rings fan and known Sean only for that, this may entice you. The newcomers to voice acting are Jason Biggs (Leo), Christian Lanz (Fishface) and Hoon Lee (Splinter). There’s also guest actors like Jeffrey Combs (The Rat King) and Roseanne Barr (Kraang Prime), so a solid mix of professional voice actors and a few newcomers. The result?
The voice acting is fantastic. Like even as the show goes on and you see more and more mixed reception, the acting is NEVER one of the things you see go down. If anything, it is one aspect that continues to improve episode by episode. All four Turtle actors do an amazing job conveying their characters, able to go from comedic to dramatic in a split second. I’d say that out of everyone, Hoon Lee impressed me the most since he’s the only one aside from Biggs (and... e’ll talk more about him next season) I hadn’t heard of. And he gave a very solid performance. Everyone did. Even for just minor characters like Pulverizer (Roger Craig Smith... yes Pulverizer is Sonic the Hedgehog) or some of the villains like Snake (Danny Jacob who voices King Julian outside the Madacgascar films) or Spyder Byte (Lewis Black), they convey their characters perfectly. Like Black’s character is a rude slob you want to punch, and he does such a great job in making you feel that way!
So yeah, you got a strong cast, a veteran voice director, and a crazy group of characters for them to voice. All of them nail it. And just wait, this is only the S1 cast. Wait until you see who they bring in for future seasons!
Rating: 5
Characters
As I said in Part One, this is the best part of the show. I know a lot of people who fell off TMNT as it went on, but still kept interest because of the characters. To me, this is always the most important part of storytelling. Yes having a good story itself is important, but a good story will be nothing without likeable characters to move it. A cliched story may be annoying, but if the characters are likeable and strongly written, people are usually more forgiving because they care about the cast. This show is no different. To this day, the thing that kept me attracted to the show was the Turtles, April, and Splinter and what they’d get into next. All of them have strong personalities that get you to care about them, or at least see where they’re coming from. I could gush about each of them one by one... so on we go!
Tumblr media
Lets start with Mikey because he is the least developed this season... and most of the show sadly. I’d even say that his focus episodes dropped massively in quality after this season as he was forced mroe and mroe into the comedy relief/designated victim/little brother role. It’s a shame too because this season did an excellent job in balancing out both the comedy relief and the more innocent side of the character. Mikey is the most naive of the brothers and the least serious among them. It’s not to say that he can’t take situations seriously, it’s just that he’s more easy-going and fun-seeking than the other three. His biggest problem is his inability to focus and goof around, which has caused several instances of accidentally setting off alarms.
While not the best of the four, Mikey is a talented ninja and the best at going off just raw talent. He doesn’t think through fighting moves, he can just go with the flow and be perfectly fine. His strongest skill hpwever is his empathy and desire to make friends. While this has backfired on him before, like in New Friend, Old Enemy, where Bradford used and then kidnapped him for a trap, Mikey is incredibly non-judgemental and open-minded. It’s why he could befriend Leatherhead so easily in It Came From the Depths. He saw that the Kraang were attacking him and decided to simply talk to him like he would anyone else, even pointing out that maybe LH only acts like a monster because that’s how he was treated for so long. Mikey may not be book smart, but he’s very emotionally smart. As I said, Mikey’s character sadly devolves into annoying comedy relief as it goes, but for this season he had a strong start. No meaningful development aside form slow progression on paying attention (Parasitica being the final payoff... also if you’re afraid of wasps then avoid that one), but his character is strong enough to carry him through.
Tumblr media
Raph is the brawler of the group and the quickest to anger. Hie’s the strongest fighter and incredibly confident... unless he has to deal with bugs. His biggest flaws are his both his anger and his jealous towards Leo. The first half of the season has Raph frequently back-talks and argue with Leo all because he got made the leader over him. For example, in Never Say Xever he is unhappy with Leo using mercy because bad guys don’t deserve it. Leo does eventually use the more Raph-like approach when kidnapping Bradford... and it fails miserably. What saves them? Leo’s act of mercy causing the Purple Dragon to repay the favor sand saving their shells. While he does slowly get a better grip on his temper once Splinter tells him of how dangerous it can be (Turtle Temper), it takes until New Girl in Town for him to overcome his jealousy once and for all. It’s very well done too by having Leo finally get fed up and give Raph what he wanted. Ultimately Raph can’t handle the pressure once things get rough and comes to understand both what Leo deals with essentially every day and how his own actions made it worst.
After that, Raph becomes the perfect example of a follower. While he’s still question Leo, he has good reasons for it, like everything involving Karai for instance. But he actively looks out for him more and stops mocking him outside just brotherly messing around. And even during that point, while Raph could be an insensitive jerk, he does love his family and will make amends when he goes too far. When he mocked Mikey wanting friends in New Friend, Old Enemy, at the end he comforted him after the fallout with Bradford and assured him that he’s a good person. When he mocked Donnie’s crush in Operation: Break-Out and led to Donnie going on a mission solo, Raph was worried about him, realized that he way too harsh, and tried to make amends by giving Donnie all the credit once back home. While Raph doesn’t conquer his temper completely, over the season he does get a better grip on it, can admit when he goes to far, became overall nicer, and by the end is a much better person. It was good stuff!
Tumblr media
Donnie is probably the most... divisive of the four. Not because he’s badly written per say. He’s intelligent, but also high-strung and prone to stress. He’s not a bad ninja, but because of his focus on machinery, he’s the least skilled. The two episodes that focus on this are Metalhead and Monkey Brains. Metalhead has an admittedly meh plot where he gets sick of his bo staff and therefore creates the robot Metalhead to act as his weapon. The ‘meh’ plot is IDT it addresses the message of ‘the weapon doesn't make you a good fighter, you do’ very well, ut still Monkey Brains does a much better job, demonstrating Donnie’s tendency to over-think everything and how that is detrimental in a fight. By the climax, he’s able to get himself to rely on his instincts against a mind-reading villain (we’ll get to him later) and kick his ass.
Then there’s The Pulverizer episodes, which are the most interesting but sadly don’t go anywhere after this season. It has Donnie accept Pulverizer as an apprentice of sort, mainly so the kid can have some form of self-defense if he’s going to put himself into danger. It’s ultimately ineffective, but mainly because of Pulverizer wanting to rush and not listening properly. The most important part though is Splinter telling Donnie that by doing this, anything that happens involving him after will be his responsibility. Which we see in The Pulverizer Returns where Pulverizer decides ot let the Foot mutate him to gain awesome mutant powers. Donnie tries to save him, but sadly he fails and Pulverier.. it’s not pretty. While Donnie does still save him after, he’s left with the guilt of ultimately failing his student. I’ll go into mroe about how horribly the writers wasted this next season, but here? It was interesting to give Donnie this plot since you’d expect t to go to say... Leo. I think it really worked for what it was worth and let us see a side of Donnie outside just being the smart one.
So with that said, why is he divisive? Well... it’s because another major part of his character is his crush on April. He doe snot... manage it well, to say the least. He is rather, well... stupid and kinda creepy with it. But I do want to point this out. Yes, it is annoying but I think there’s a good reason for it: he’s an awkward teenager. Yeah him asking her to feel his goosebumps (Metalhead), accidentally calling her ‘his April (The Gauntlet), accidentally saying awkward things when she acknowledges him (pick any episode) are incredibly facepalm worthy at best. And yeah, they should have done better setup than have him just find her pretty when seeing her once. However he does genuinely care about her and int he premiere, he was driven more because he saw an innocent girl scared and was unable to help than his newfound crush. The feelings are genuine and Donnie being awkward about is because... well, Donnie is awkward in general and he does slowly improve. Honestly I’ll have mroe to discuss about this next season cause haha... boy is THAT a clusterfuck. But ultimately while Donnie can be annoying, overall it’s pretty bearable and he has plenty of positive traits to balance it out.
Tumblr media
Finally, we get Leo. He’s the group leader, but unlike the past series where he pretty much grew up with that role, here he gets the role halfway through the first episode. He starts as a goody-two-shoes with a mischievous side who had a very basic view of leadership. He see sit as a position of authority, greatness, and unstoppable. That’s not to say that he doesn’t take the role seriously, he does. He devises plans, does his best to keep his brothers focused, and frequently asks Splinter for advice on how to best do things. But he also frequently uses cheesy one-liners and does his best to be as over the top with his heroics as possible, thinking it’s cool when it isn’t. It gives Leo a more naive feel to him, someone who is serious but also is still a teenaged kid who has a lot of learning to do.
The pressures of leadership are Leo’s primary focus as a character. While he has some doubts, the biggest blow to his confident comes in The Gauntlet after there massive defeat against Shredder. The following episode has him unsure of if he can properly lead the team and feeling guilty when things go wrong. But the ultimate meltdown comes in New Girl in Town where Raph finally pushes him too hard and he quits. He’s realized at this point that leadership is not like it is on TV. it’s unforgiving, stressful, and you’re gonna be the one facing the consequences when things go wrong. His difficulty dealing with this is what attracts him to Karai. She’s fun, does whatever she wants, and doesn’t care about the rules. She offers him a form of freedom that he hasn’t had before. It’s why he tries to get her to change sides, he doesn’t want her to be an enemy. Unfortunately things end badly between them this season, but you can see where Leo is coming form no matter how naive he was about it.
Leo evolved a lot over the season. He went from a naive teenager who quoted old TV episodes to a serious, determined leader who was willing to do whatever it took to get his team through. He never quit being optimistic and he does still have his stress with leadership later down the road. But the season is about him easing not the role an understanding the weight of that role. It’s very easy to feel bad for Leo because he tries incredibly hard, but he doesn’t receive a lot of gratitude or payoff, and he just has to accept that. By the finale, he’s willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to ensure both success and his family's safety... something that becomes a bit of an issue in later seasons (looking at you Space Arc). I’d say that because we got to see Leo actually having to come to terms with the role, it makes this imo the best version of the character. We actually have to see him accept the role and how he hate show it limits his free time, something IDT the past versions really did. And all while having this dorky, idealistic side that keeps him likable and all the mroe relateable. Overall, I’d say that the leader in blue was handeled very well here!
Tumblr media
April is my favorite character in the show, but her writing this season has some issues. Now as a character herself, she’s perfectly fine. She’s an independent sixteen year old and incredibly proactive. Whenever she finds info on the Kraang or about her dad, she looks into it. When everyone is ready to quit in Panic in the Sewers, she’s the only one who actively tries to do something and get everyone else to not give up. When Splinter offers to train her, she accepts it and we see bits and pieces of her progressing. But it’s done realistically as demonstrated in Karai’s Vendetta where it’s very clear that April is nowhere near her level. But it also demonstrates her determination and how she never gives up, getting back up after every blow and at east trying to put up a fight. While she’s forced to sit most things out and does on occasion get kidnapped, she still tries to be an asset and does very well as an intel gatherer. She’s also incredibly stubborn and can get in over her head without thinking things through, like in Metalhead and the finale episodes. But ultimately her proactiveness and need to take action are her strongest traits and what makes her a useful ally.
The issues with April are in the writing of the plot. I already mentioned how the early episodes could have done mroe in having her ease into the group. There’s also after Karai’s Vendetta where despite living with the guys, we don’t see her until the penultimate episode. We see her express hating it in that episode, but we don’t get to explore the fallout of her losing her normal life. In fact we...d on’t see April’s life outside Turtle stuff until next season, and even then not by much. Now of course the show is about the Turtles and you gotta keep the focus on them, but still we get a bunch of ‘show, don’t tell’ problems with April. We’re told things like she’s living with her aunt, but we never see them interact. Hell, IDT April’s aunt is ever mentioned outside the pilot. We also find out that April is the Kraang’s target... and we never see how she feels about it. If she’s scared, if she’s worried. We can assume that she has some stress about it, as indicated when she vents in Karai’s Vendetta, but little to no showcase of how she feels about it. Mind you we don’t with the Turtles either, but still. Still, overall April is a solid character imo.
Tumblr media
That brings us to Master Splinter, the best written character by far. Splinter is the perfect balance of a mentor and a father. He’s firm, strict, and not afraid to dish out punishment when it’s necessary. But he’s also gentle, patient, knows how to give his sons proper guidance, and when to let them figure things out for themselves. He’s also snarky as Hell, so it’s good that he has a sense of humor. He’s also a flawed person. He lost his wife and daughter because of hat is essentially a sibling rivalry that went WAAAY too far and his own inability to control himself worsened things. He lost his family and then his humanity, ending his life as Hamato Yoshi. Since then, he’s hidden int he sewers and tried to focus his energy on raising and protecting his sons. It makes letting them go topside difficult, as it is for any parent whose children are growing up. He can make mistakes, like letting his fear control him and press his sons far too hard in Panic in the Sewers, but he can admit those mistakes.
Splintr’s largest plot in the season, outside mentoring the boys and April, is accepting his mutant status and overcoming his fears. Many epsiodes such as the premiere, Turtle Temper, Monkey Brains, Panic in the Sewers and the finale show how much pain the rat master carries and while he’s move don to a new life, it still haunts him. The episode that best displays this however is a filler episode called I, Monster. In it we get this version of the Rat King, the mind reading villain from Monkey Brains, who uses his power to swarm New York. When he senses Splinter, he proceeds to try and brainwash him too. The episode does an amazing job at showcasing all of Splinter’s fears. The boys outgrowing him, his past tragedies, ending up alone, and the Rat King slowly uses all of it to break him down. Splinter fights back, but the thought of the boys moving on without him is ultimately what defeats him until the boys remind him of who he is. He is Hamato Yoshi, Master Splinter, but most of all their father. They need him and always will. Which lets Splinter overcome the mind control and essentially Airbend Rat King through a wall. It was awesome~
Despite that episode being filler, it’s one of the season's best. It is a strong character exploration piece about a father who has gone through Hell and is faced with the fear of his kids not needing him. It is very relatable and makes Splinter all the mroe sympathetic. And we see Splinter truly embody who he is now when faced with the Shredder again and upon learning that his daughter had survived. He went into full rat mode and gave Shredder the beating that we all wanted. And the season ends on a perfect lead in for the next one. Splinter now knows that Karai is his daughter while she was raised to hate him. It’s any parent’s worst nightmare. He now has to deal with that revelation as well as how he’s going to break it to his students. Splinter has some solid growth int he season, something that a lot of mentor figures in cartoons don’t get, and it’s done perfectly. He has his flaws, but is still a strong father figure to his sons. Add that to Hoon Lee’s absolute perfect performance and you have what is in my opinion the best incarnation of Master Splinter in any TMNT series.
Tumblr media
While the main cast is strong, the supporting cast and villains are... not so much. There isn’t really a supporting cast honestly. The best we have is Leatherhead, who is awesome. He’s a damaged character. One treated like a monster and tortured for who knows how long. It left him damaged and prone to trauma-induced outbursts. But he is a good person who knows that what happened to him was wrong and can be quite sweet when given the chance. He didn’t have to save humanity, especially since most would scream and run if they saw him, but he didn’t want anyone else to endure what he did. It’s best exemplified with his sacrifice in TCRI, going back to Dimension X and knowing fully well what’ll await him there. But he does so to save his friends and give them the chance to save the Earth. LH is freakin’ badass and I love him!
Tumblr media
The villains though are... kinda boring. Most of the mutants, while the designs are cool, are incredibly one-note. Not all of them, like the Rat King is so dramatic and twisted and his VA does such a great job with the delivery that you both love him and want to strangle him. But others like Snakeweed or Spyder Bytez are just... well, evil for the heck of it. The Kraang are the worst though since at least the mutants are only in like one or two episodes. The Kraang are annoying as HELL. They can be dangerous but the redundant speech pattern and all fo them having essentially the same personality (aka none) is so... boring. Min you in Season 4 we kind of get an explanation to why, but it doesn't change how grating they can get. That being said in large groups they can be dangerous and with things like the Technodrome, they’re not to be taken lightly. Still, GAH I HATE THEM!!!
Tumblr media
The Foot are somewhat better. Stockman is pathetic and remains pathetic throughout the entire series. Bradford is a pompous asshole. Xever is a little more interesting in that he kidn of was forced to work for Shredder or go to jail... but sadly after that reveal, he reverts to typical henchman status sadly. Shredder is the Big Bad and a no-nonsense leader. He has no empathy and is more than willing to inflict physical violence on his troops if they fail him. He even threatens to harm Karai, his daughter (kinda...) if she questions him. He is a very single minded perosn, his only goal beign to kill Splinter and his students by any means necessary. Hell. he only starts caring about the Kraang when he realizes that they can advance his goal, but has zero issues letting humanity fall to them. Oh, and there’s his glee when Karai tries to kill Splinter. WOrst? THis isn’t even the worst that he does int he show. Oh just wait for next season. JUST WAIT. Otherwise though, while a powerful fighter, he just mopes in his throne for most of the season, but Richardson’s badass voice acting was nice to hear.
Tumblr media
The most interesting villain by far is Karai, and Thank God for it. While Leo is a good-good, Karai is a bad girl. She’s laid-back, does what she wants her way, and doesn’t play by the rules. She’s introduced as a competent fighter, but unlike the other Foot she’s more interesting in talking to the Turtles than killing them. I think she did become genuinely fond of Leo, but ultimately she’s going to be loyal to what she thinks is her family. She also started off realizing that there were bugger problems, like the Kraang, that required more attention over the vendetta until the Turtles betrayed her. Then she pretty much went ‘screw it’ and decided to go with the vendetta, which only got worst when she met Splinter for the first time. Still, ti was nice to have someone actually question Shredder and try to be sensible. She’s definite the most well-written of the villains, and the revelation about her being Splinter’s daughter means that there is MUCH more to come for her. Like I said, just wait for Season 2!
Okay, this section was a LOOOT longer than I thought. So I’ll just finish by saying that the villains aren't all that interesting, but the main characters are very well written. They have strong personalities, plenty of room for growth, and their interactions always gel really well. Very well done!
Rating: 4.5
Story
Tumblr media
The main plot threads are the Turtles against the Foot, and the Turtles feud against the Kraang. All with some subplots, like Pulverizer and the mutant of the week stuff, and filler episodes thrown in. I say that the plots are handled very well. For example well go with... say two or three Kraang-centric episodes. Then we may or may not get a filler episode before shifting over to the Foot Clan for awhile. It never felt like we got smothered with one faction over the other, which is good. The plots also slowly intertwined and it felt like they came together at just the right time during the last six or so episodes. Hence hwy the finale worked so well, giving some kind of payoff on both ends.
Tumblr media
Many of the episodes were very basic and outright bizarre. Like Cockroach Terminator having a mutant cockroach tr to murder Raph... it’s kinda gross, but entertaining! Every episode normally has at least something small that’ll carry over as the story goes along. For example, Donnie built Metalhead in... well, Metalhead and brought him back in the finale, plus it helped him learn mroe about Kraang tech. In Baxter’s Gambit, April finally gets her own weapon and she attempts to use it in Karai’s Vendetta. The episodes all play a part, even if just minor, in the larger narrative and I feel some of the later seasons kind of slacked on that. This season had a perfect balance.
Tumblr media
That’s not to say that it was perfect. Like at the end of TCRI, we find out that April is the Kraang’s true target which makes us wonder why... and the next episode is about Raph’s fear of bugs! So TCRI was episode 17, we don’t even mention this fact again until Karai’s Vendetta, which is episode 21. Five episodes later, and even then we get one tiny hint (April doesn't get damaged by mutagen-laced water) and... that’s it. The.show has a bit of an issue with not exploring fallout, which is weird because Panic in the Sewers did and id it excellently. Maybe it’s because they have to make episodes to sell toys, IDK. It doesn't do too much damage, but it makes it feel like they both wasted character opportunities and like there’s something missing. But at the very least the episodes remain entertaining, so there’s that.
Rating: 4
Final Thoughts
Tumblr media
You know what I like about this series and why I ran it above the other ones? Well it does something that I feel that the previous incarnations lacked: The Teenage Mutant Nina Turtles felt like teenagers. They felt like a bunch of kids truly entering the world for the first time. They screw up, they have problems to overcome, and they don’t always learn it immideatly. Like their cockiness is a frequent pain in the shell for example. But the reason that I like pretty much all of the episodes aside form Episode 11 is because it feels like we’re watching a group of kids truly starting to grow up and learn about how rough life can be. How they have to change, how they have to fix their mistakes, and just become better people. As a nineteen year old who was just staring to figure my life out, when I started the show, that drew me in. I related to these characters so much. I felt like I was growing with them and coming to understand who I was due to it.
It felt really nostalgic to go back over this season. Imo, it still holds up big time. It’s funny, action-heavy, well animated, and the characters are just as enjoyable as I remember. Would I call this the best season? Hmm... maybe. I still have three more to look over. But it was a really fun ride and it got TMNT 2012 off on the right track. Can they stay on it during Season 2? Come back next week, and we shall see!

Story: “The Prophet of Dagon”
Some excavate in order to study the past. Others excavate to unleash it!
Tumblr media
"Gentlemen, our guest of honor!"
The president of the Royal Archeological Society with a beaming but perspiring face raised his glass to the man seated on the dais to his right. I rose with the rest, and with a smattering of applause and a few hoarse hear hears we of the Society (to our own sullen amazement) also lifted our glasses to toast the health of Baxter Carswell.
He was a small man with dark hair and pinched features, and even when he smiled—and I suppose he was trying to smile as we cheered him—his face tended to curl into something between a grimace and a scowl. He acknowledged our applause with a quick wave of his palm, then hunched in his seat.
"Perseverance— Perseverance and scrupulosity," continued our president, "are two of the virtues without which no archeologist can hope to succeed. Without them—"
And so he was launched.
Professor William Stapleton was a man of some twenty stone, and when appearing in evening dress his critics had been known to unkindly compare him to a timpani drum. And like a timpani, he had a tendency to boom, as he now boomed his remarks at our gathered Society. They were his usual. Diligence, caution, skepticism, humility ... The archeologist's virtues, as he had reminded us many times.
They were also, signally, virtues that Baxter Carswell lacked. Twice, Stapleton himself had venomously attacked the man in the pages of the Society's Proceedings, mocking his outlandish claims and his "swinish and disgusting" theories. How galling, then—and not one of us present, I'm sure, wasn't thinking it—for our president to now have to acknowledge and honor Carswell's momentous discoveries on Crete.
"Thank you, Mr. President," I heard a voice say, and I retrieved my attention from the foggy distraction into which I had fallen. "I know how hateful tonight's ceremony must be for you, and so I am immensely gratified to be attending it."
It was Carswell speaking. He had risen to his feet, and it struck me what a little man he was. Not only morally—an audible murmur of disapprobation was rippling through the assembled members—but physically. Even standing, the crown of his head barely o'er-topped that of our seated president. Unpleasant, too, was his accent, for he spoke through his nose in a kind of quack.
"—the magnitude," he was saying, "nay, without conceit I assert, the epochal profundity of the revolution that will attend the resurrection of that city we have gathered tonight to mark—"
"I say, he's really laying it on, isn't he?" murmured my neighbor, a man named Wilditch, into my ear. "Well, the man has a right to preen, I suppose."
Indeed. There was not only the extraordinary find itself—the one that had forced the Society to recognize Carswell and the truth of his theories—but the extraordinary circumstances that had confirmed them.
It is every archeologist's dream, I suppose, to find a "lost civilization." Few would dare conjecture them, however, and none save Carswell would have so brazenly asserted the existence of a drowned city off the coast of Crete—the lost outpost, he insisted, of an antediluvian culture wiped from the Earth ere the founding of Atlantis. Under its cyclopean walls and within the tentacular labyrinths of its temples and palaces, he had written, prospered things more like unto gods than men. Or unto demons, he had cryptically added in a footnote, if one's morality is of the conventionally cramped sort.
No, these were not the sort of cautious and conservative conjectures Stapleton liked to commend. But then, Carswell was an amateur, a man known to "dabble in the dregs of metaphysics and moonshine," as Stapleton had described him in one of his (less vituperative) passages.
Carswell was describing the city now, I noted as I again began to attend his remarks. It was hard to concentrate on him. It was not only his accents and manners that were odious. His very claims were repugnant.
He was, of course, entitled to describe for us the ruined city that had lunged so spectacularly to the surface of the Aegean—exactly where he had claimed it existed—as the result of a violent undersea tremor. And if one forgave the pugnacity of the image, one might even applaud his descriptions of its "sturdy bones still dressed in the glistening, oozing muds of the deep." But—
Come, come, I thought with some irritation. You still have not established that it was Dagon they worshipped. And even if you mean it as a poetic turn of phrase, it is meretricious to credit the earthquake to the agency of some god or other.
"Even now," Carswell was wheezing as the choler in our president's face deepened, "my men are obliviously scooping away the slime and silt of centuries from out the avenue that leads to the pythonic temple of dread Dagon, before whose idol—whose immensity still fails but to impotently gesture at the awful exaltation of the deity it represents—but before which, as I was saying, the frenzied divines of his cult performed such mighty oblations as caused the very stars to wobble. Even now," he piped as he flushed, and his glittering eye roved the room, "yea, even as we speak, the very lineaments of eternity are bending into alignments monstrous, to parallel that roadway out of Deepest Time, and down them like ladders shall descend—!"
"Yes, thank you, Mr. Carswell," interrupted the president. He stood and politely clapped some three or four times, nodding at the assembly to join in. (We didn't.) "We shall be delighted to hear all about it when—"
"The Earth's very foundations shall shatter! The continents shall reel!"
"Yes, yes, the earthquake. Certainly," murmured Stapleton as he laid a great hand on his guest-of-honor's shoulder and shoved him back down into his seat, "we should all of us pray for such happy accidents as that which helped confirm your—"
"Accident!" shrieked Carswell, and even at a remove I could see the whites of his rolling eyes. "Was it by 'accident' that I drenched the Altar of Meleck-Taos in gore, to slake the long-parched gullet of Dagon's Herald?"
The Altar of Meleck-Taos? I thought I knew the name. I turned to my neighbor Wilditch, to confirm that that was the identification given by Carswell to some immense sarcophagus or other he had found buried twenty feet beneath the foundations of the palace at Knossos.
He forestalled me with a question and frown of his own. "Gore?" he asked. "Wasn't there some ghastly business back there on Crete, nearly got him kicked off the island? Some local girl gone missing?"
The murmur of the company had risen, but even over it I could hear snatches from Carswell. "By bribery, the keys to this hall!" — "Sigils written in invisible blood!" — "Tentacles and beaks and the baleful eye of Dagan Takala!" — "The wall behind this dais!" Spittle showed on his lips as two burly waiters, at a signal from Stapleton, seized him by the arms.
"Yes, spare me a day, a week, a month!" he laughed as he was dragged away. "You are but the first! Gladly did I seek to mingle with you tonight, that I might delight at the whistling music your bones will make after the marrow is sucked from out them by the gale-force hurricanes that shall envelope your blaspheming company! But to the maddened squeals of humanity's writhing mass shall I yet dance and cut myself before the—!"
Twisting like a thing of coiled wires, he was carried bodily from the banqueting hall.
"I must apologize to you all," said our president as he patted his forehead with a white handkerchief, "for the, er, regrettable behavior just shown by our distinguished guest." He said the words with undisguised contempt. "Even a madman may have lucid intervals," he went on, "but I think we can all congratulate our fortune in being able to remove the madman whilst retaining, for our own delectation, the antique remnants he—"
He got no further, and few had attended him even that far before he broke off as those of us seated before the dais began to stand and gasp and point at the wall behind him, in which there had opened what to all appearances was a swirling vortex of smoke and mist.
That in itself was unaccountably strange. But I could not help but believe I comprehended within it certain uncanny shapes. Was that not a black and baleful eye glittering from out its center? Where those not beaks that orbited, darting and biting as they dipped in and out from between the vortex's whirling arms, which were themselves like tentacles tipped with cruel pincers?
I had but a moment to take the nightmare in before the lights of the hall blinked out, and a roaring gale lifted and sucked me into it.
Prompt: Use "gale-force," "dread," "pincers," "swirling," and "toast" in the story.

JOÃO VICENTE DE CASTRO, CIS MALE, HE/HIM — have you met william rafael carvalho da fonseca yet ? the thirty one year old is known for being both enthusiastic and creative, but also very confrontational and reckless. born in são paulo, brazil, liam now lives in southwark, as a reporter.
tw: emotional abuse, substance abuse
R A N D O M   F A C T S + H I S T O R Y ; ;
hates figures of authority
liam does shit just because he thinks it’s funny to aggravate people
he will fight anyone and anything at anytime
besides that tho he is really fun guy and most of the time he’ll just try to be nice and have fun with people and make jokes.
he is the kind of person that takes jokes way too far
would 100% fill your house with balloons for a prank
can play the guitar really well but only really plays wonderwall cause he knows people hate it
his family is really rich. he works and he does his own thing totally unrelated to the family business but he highkey lives knowing that if he ever needs anything he can just call up his parents and it will get done.
he lives in an apartment that his mother bought him as a birthday gift.
his father is from brazil and his mother is from london.
he has two younger siblings a sister and a brother
he was born in brazil. when he was younger his parents were married and he stayed around there for most of his younger life
his father wasn’t the best person to be around tho he was really demanding and he was constantly belittling and putting him down bc liam failed to live up to his expectations.
liam’s mother never really did anything when his father was around but she would sometimes come to his aid after the damaged had already been done and give him stuff as if that could solve the whole issue.
his parents got divorced when he was fifteen. his mother moved back to the uk but stayed in brazil with his siblings.
after that he would go back and forth between brazil and the uk to spend time with his parents but he finished high school still in brazil.
his father wanted him to take over the family business and be someone liam most definitely wasn’t. liam still tried and he went to college for a few months but one day he got home drunk and his father started screaming @ him about how terrible of son he was so he was pretty much done. the next morning he packed up his stuff and moved in with a friend until his mother bought him a ticket to fly to the uk
after that he moved to london and he’s been in london ever since.
he pretty much went to college to become a journalist just to spite his father
he drinks way too much but he also smokes weed and he does cocaine sometimes
he legitimately cannot stand being bored or staying still for a while so he’ll figure something to entertain himself at all times even if it is extremely dangerous or downright stupid
he doesn’t have that great of a self-steem. lots of the stuff his father said still resonates with him and even tho liam avoids thinking about it most of the time he still feels bad for not becoming who his father wanted him to be, and not taking over the family business

His siblings bc i’m out here for the family drama honestly. maybe one of his siblings took over the family business and that could aspire some drama bc it could been sort of like a betrayal? or maybe something happened in brazil and they moved to london to stay with him for a while bc reasons and liam thinks he has to be the responsible bigger brother but he is him so that is a problem.
one ex bc why not? and maybe it all ended really terribly bc they were always worried about the kind of stuff he was going to pull next in order to entertain himself. maybe he did something really stupid that put his life in danger and that was how it all ended
maybe someone who goes along with all of his stuff and they both have fun and do stupid shit together but maybe idk they just keep raising the stakes and it’s the type of thing that (if no one stops them or none of them stop to be the voice of reason) they’ll end up in las vegas getting married bc they had a bet that the other wouldn’t get married with a stranger

FRANÇOIS ARNAUD, CIS MALE, HE/HIM — have you met octavianus bruno gentille yet? the thirty five year old is known for being both loyal and optimistic, but also very unfocused and self indulgent. born in venice, bruno now lives in westminster, as a art history college professor.

his name is octavianus but he legit thinks that is the dumbest name in the face of existence so he’ll usually go by bruno, his middle name. the only people who know his actual name are his family or people who have seen his id. if you want to annoy him just call him ‘octavianus bruno’ and watch him go from 0 to 100 real quick
legit the best out of all my children which doesn’t say much but still
he loves the idea of love, and the idea of falling head over hills and not really thinking straight only thinking about the other person. and he thinks romantic love is the most important thing someone can have in their life.
he gets himself to fall in love with people and then jumps head first into things, and he turns thing that could be really easy and make it complicated.
he is super loyal to his friends.
he would take a bullet for any of his friends
but he is legit very self involved and self focused he thinks of himself as this great person who is out to help others but he won’t take advice from anyone and he is solely focused on his romantic life + his feelings
besides that tho he is honestly trying which is more than you can say for any of my muses
he is really optimistic and revolutionary and thinks people are supposed to protest and fight for what they think is right and then they’ll turn the world into a better place.
he thinks that if you talk it out you can solve any problem
will not fight anyone tho no matter the circumstances
he is really a huge pacifist who thinks peaceful protest is the best way to get people’s attention
he wants everyone in the world to be happy and have equal opportunities and for everything to be great
he loves art more than anything else
he is the kind of person that starts five projects at the same time and ends up not finishing any of them.
the kind of dude you’ll ask ‘what’s your opinion on cookies?’ and he’ll legit talk for an hour if you don’t stop him.
bruno was born in october 15, 1982 in Venice, Italy.
his father was originally italian, his mother from london.
he spent his early childhood with both his parents in italy, but when he turned five, his parents got divorced and he moved back to the uk. with his mother.
his father stayed back in italy.
he used to come by and visit every so often. once a year his mother sent him spent winter break or summer vacation with his father in italy.
his father used to tell him stories about how he loved his mother and about how ‘he would give her the world if he had been given a chance’ and that created an idea in bruno’s mind about how there are soulmates and perfect relationships out there and now he is constantly chasing it
but since no relationship is ever perfect his relationships will usually end bc of that
he is really extra about everything honestly especially love

Imma be real shitty for a second here but maybe some teacher student type of thing because if this asshole would romanticize something it would be some type of star crossed love relationship
maybe some nice and pure platonic relationship maybe like someone he is teaching art to or just someone who admires art and he is trying to be a good person and he is out there giving them advice and helping them out without asking for anything in return and maybe this person can call him out of his bullshit and they can have some sort of sibling relationship

he wears leather jackets because he thinks he is cool
he is an idiot honestly
he thinks he is funny and he laughs at his own jokes
mostly only really cares about himself and it’s not that he is trying to be an asshole or anything but he’ll legit do shit and after he already shit the bad he’ll be like ‘oh riight that was bad’
he is an asshole but lowkey does not want to be one
he was married for many years and he and his wife had a daughter and things were all fine and dandy but this asshole has no self control and he cheated on his wife a few times,,, she found out and they tried to make things work for a while but he did again and then she throw him out
he lowkey hates himself for destroying his marriage but he isn’t really doing anything to be a better person so here we are
his family used to be very poor and he worked his ass off for everything he’s ever had and he is really really proud of that
he put himself through college by working two jobs and legit the only thing he can commit to are his professional aspirations.
after college he started working for other people even tho that wasn’t really why he went to business school and he saved every single dime until he was able to open up his own business
he started his career opening up night clubs and he had three pretty successful ones when his marriage fell apart
he is really charismatic tho and he’s always trying to make people laugh and trying to entertain people. he legit finds joy and making others happy and excited and that was why he excelled at his business bc he just was constantly making sure the place he was running was a place he would love to go, and a place he knew people legit have fun in.
after his marriage fell apart tho he sold all off them and tried to retire for a while and try to work on being a better person
he couldn’t stand not having a job and not working tho so he opened up a small coffee shop bc it was supposed to be something small he knew he could handle without working as much as he used to
he can be either really chill and sit down and talk about life and give you legit good advice that he totally wouldn’t follow if he was in the same situation or really wild and be the type of person that goes ‘do you wanna break something?’ depending on who’s with him.
he’ll literally go along with any idea you have.

his daughter cause legit i would love to play out this dynamics and see where we could take it? like it could be interesting bc he loves her, but the cheating could have affected the girl and the girl’s life in some way? or maybe it affected how she sees him and it could be some broken relationship or idk angst honestly whatever you have in mind
his ex-wife and idk my fella it could be like some one sided sort of thing where he stills loves her but he is still him aka an asshole? maybe she loves him too but she knows being with him is Not Great? imagine them trying to get back together but how can you trust someone after that type of thing and he is Legit Trying but it doesn’t seem to matter anymore? Imagine arguments and loving someone who is terrible, and throwing blame back and forth ( i put an ex connection in literally every character so far fjaslfj i’m sorry )

JAKE GYLLENHAAL, CIS MALE, HE/HIM — have you met thomas edmund faraday yet? the thirty six year old is known for being both honest and warmhearted, but also very demanding and proud. born in london, thomas now lives in kensington and chelsea, as a theoretical physicist and college professor.
tw: child neglect, drunk driving, death,
R A N D O M   F A C T S + H I S T O R Y ; ;
he was born in a super rich family extremely loaded for generations type of thing
doesn’t know the real value of stuff honestly you could tell him that a cartoon of milk costs 50 bucks and he would believe you.
a heart of gold but also the type of asshole that will argue with you for hours (even if you are done with the argument) just to convince you you are wrong and he is right
honestly stale cinnamon roll been in this world too long too cynical
he went to a boarding private school when he was young, his parents honestly could not give less of shit about him. they were both really young and rich and wanted to enjoy life, so they would often ship thomas off to whatever they could find eg,: boarding school, summer camp, whatever kind of different program they would find
it wasn’t that they didn’t love him, but he would often get in the way of their plans. and they really just weren’t the best parents in town
thomas grew up always dreaming about having a real loving family like the ones in sitcoms and movies and that was his dream for most of his life
he was also highkey biggest nerd in the face of earth who loved star wars and star trek especially star trek because he fell in love with star trek the next generation and science fiction.
that was when he discovered his love for science.
he went to college and that when he met his wife and thomas was well on his way to make his dream come true
he and his wife got married, had a son, moved to his family’s house in kensington and chelsea and things were great and beautiful
things continued to advance in his career, thomas managed to work with what he wanted.
expect one day his wife and his son were both going back home after she’d picked him up from middle school and a drunk driver hit their car.
both his wife and his son died in a car accident and he highkey hasn’t been able to actually connect with anyone ever since.
he threw himself in his job after that and focused solely on his career
knows his family is gone but would never consider moving on bc that for him would be the same as forgetting them
highkey just wants love and a family and someone to care for that cares about him but is too terrified to put himself out there to loose the people he loves again.

JON BERNTHAL, CIS MALE, HE/HIM — have you met matthew nathaniel decker yet? the forty one year old is known for being both determined and caring, but also very sttuborn and blunt. born in austin, texas, matteo now lives in tower hamlets, as a criminal.
tw: war, death mention, violence
R A N D O M   F A C T S + H I S T O R Y ; ;
the king of grumpiness honestly
annoyed 24/7
i know this meme is dead but honestly ‘looks like could kill you and could actually kill you’
once you are his friend he’ll protect you and love you and respect you
but also grunts about not functioning properly before a cup of black coffee
doesn’t know how to talk to people and be a nice enough human being and he’ll just say the shit that goes through his mind without realizing that he might sound rude.
he was born in a highkey patriotic family in austin texas
the army part of his backstory is pretty similar to frank castle’s in the comics ‘born’ which is also kinda like the punisher’s series but better bc i am petty and i don’t like the show
the first thing he did after turning eighteen was enlist himself in the army.
at first it was about doing his duty as an american and about fighting for the freedom of everybody around him
and then he just kept going back again and again bc he had become a soldier and he didn’t know what else he could do besides that
after that it was more about doing the only thing he thought he could do
cut to many years later and he became a coronel in the army
in one of the missions tho lots of shit happened most of friends died, he hadn’t believe in the war he had been fighting for a while but this time he had seen enough
i legit love writing about his time in the army so if you feel like reading extra shit for no reason here some links to old drabbles i wrote (x), (x). it’s the same info you got here but a little more in depth to specific moments
after that matteo went back home to the us but he couldn’t quite land a job for a long time. he knew how to follow orders but he was terrible at dealing with people and his formal education had pretty much stopped at the age of eighteen.
he tried for a while to get a formal job but none of them ever lasted long until one day one guy he knew from the army got him a gig as a guy’s bodyguard, unbeknownst to him he was protecting some very important guy from a gang
it took him a while to realize it, but after that, he continued to do it, bc he needed the money,
after a while matteo didn’t even mind that the money was dirty anymore
the guy started asking him to get some stuff done. sometimes beating up some people, sometimes scaring people. he used to say it was fine bc he was never really doing anything to anyone that didn’t deserve
until one the guy asked him to kill someone, that was pretty much the line for matteo. that day he acted as if he was going to get it done, and he stole some lots of the guy’s money ( at least the portion he had access to in his office ) and matt ran off to the uk to run away from all of that.
he’s been living around london now and he deals drugs every so often
and he isn’t really feeling That Great about who he is right now and he legit regrets most of life choices but he feels like there is nothing he can do at this point

FP Jones/Andrews Family/Riverdale imagines - Oh Dear Part 1
Tumblr media
AN: It’s so awkward when nearly the whole fandom is in love with the teenage boys on the show and I’m over here obsessing over the DILFs and the girls of the show. So I wrote this to see who else adores the daddies of Riverdale. This will be a series so stick around for more if you love this serpent as much as I.
Summary: You’re Archie’s old sister and you have a thing for a certain serpent
Pairing: Reader x FP Jones, Sister!Reader x Archie Andrews, Daughter!Reader x Fred Andrews
Word count: 1,967
Warnings: Well, FP is clearly older than the reader in this fic, none really
It all started when you were younger. Jughead’s Dad came over one night to talk to Jughead. Jughead was round for a sleepover with your younger brother Archie and FP came round because he had some news, about what, you didn't know. But what you did know was in that moment you realised you were utterly attracted to your younger brother’s best friend’s Dad. That was the moment you knew you were screwed.
As you got older, it got easier to hide the crush but when Jughead and Archie became friends after not talking for a little while, it got harder to ignore it.
You managed to keep everything to yourself until one day when your dad decided to give FP a second chance at working at the construction site.
Jughead had somehow managed to convince his Dad to get his life right.
That was one reason of a million that you chose to stay away.
The most obvious reason was the fact that FP was old enough to be your dad, after all, you were in your senior year of high school, you didn't want to mess it up by playing Lolita. But Jughead’s Dad was also troublesome, dangerous, to be wary of.
After his wife left with his daughter then everything with him seemed to get 10x worse but you chose to look past that and you chose to not get involved at all with him.
But as I said, everything started on that one day. You don’t know what came over you, but you knew you didn't really regret it.
“Wow... Jughead’s really living in the school?” You asked Archie as you sat opposite each other at lunch.
“Yeah, he said things aren't great at home with his Dad after our Dad fired him.” Archie told you,
“Really?” You bit down on your lower lip. You knew that he’d been out of work for a while but you didn't know Jughead wasn’t living there because it was so bad.
“Yeah. I managed to talk to Dad, get him to give FP another chance. At least make things easier for Jug if he knew his Dad had a job again. Jughead’s over at his place now to see if he’s gonna take the job.” Archie informed you.
“I had no idea.” You admitted, frowning to yourself.
“Neither did I but we’ll get it sorted out. We always do.” Archie stood up as the bell went, trying his best to be positive.
“Correction: We always try to.” You corrected your baby brother before heading to class.
Later that day, Archie messaged you to get you to come to the construction site after school. FP had taken the job and the boys wanted to celebrate and you thought it was a great idea.
You sat in the office, you and Archie were tossing a ball across to each other whilst you waited for the men to finish work.
“Oh, how was your first day back?” Jughead sat up as soon as the door opened and your dads walked in.
“It was great. Your dad is the hardest-working guy on the crew, as always.” Your dad told you all. You watched FP toss his hard hat at Jughead, his eyes briefly connected with your own as he leant against the filing cabinet just near you.
“Oh, in that case, why don't we celebrate to mark the occasion?” Jughead offered.
“Yeah, Juggy and I were thinking the five of us could have dinner or something?” Archie suggested, helping Jughead out.
“Uh, tonight? I don't know...” Fred almost rejected the idea but FP stepped in.
“I'm game if you're game. On me.”
And so you headed over to the Diner.
You sat opposite Jughead and FP slid down beside you, your dad on the other side of him.
You spent the evening eating and chatting, the two older men reflecting on the ‘glory days’ as teenagers. You didn't mind, you just liked to hear FP talk and hear him laugh. You had never heard him laugh before.
“Anyway we spent the whole summer fixing up that old VW bus.” FP continued with the story he had been telling and you were chuckling quietly beside him as you sucked on your chocolate milkshake.
You noticed FP’s eyes flicker down to you briefly, and his moved his arm so that it was resting on the back of the chair behind you.
“Yeah.” Fred nodded.
“Remember what we called it, Fred?” FP grinned.
“The Shaggin' Wagon.” The men said together, you grimaced but laughed.
“The Shaggin' Wagon.” FP laughed along with you and your dad.
You shook your head at the overgrown teenager.
“This was before your dad had game. Senior Year, he started a band, and then the girls were all over him.” FP patted your dad’s shoulder,
“We were awful.” Fred shook his head, smirking at the memory.
“Yeah, yeah, we were.” FP chuckled, “But it was great. Best time of my life.” FP looked over at your dad with a cheesy smile,
“You know, your dad was what is commonly known as a BMOC, Jughead.” Fred turned to Jughead.
“Come on. The hell I was.” FP scoffed.
“In what way?”Jug asked.
“Football, for one. He single-handedly defeated our arch-rivals, the Baxter High Ravens.” Fred started to explain but FP cut him short,
“He doesn't care about that stuff, Fred. Football, sports. Takes after his mom in that respect, and I mean that as a compliment. I'd rather see you spending your time writing, thinking up stories, you still do that? Nose in a book? Typing away?”
“Yeah, yeah, Jughead works on the school paper with Betty.” Archie answered for Jughead.
“Betty? - Ooh.” FP drummed on the table with his fingers, leaning forward with his eyebrows raised in question. “Who is Betty? Is that your girlfriend?”
“I wanna know more about the band. What was the name of the band?” Jughead quickly changed the subject and avoided the question.
You could probably believe that the sweet girl next door and Jughead Jones were crushing on each other.
“Ah, yeah. It was called The Fred Heads.” Your dad admitted and you almost spat down out your milkshake.
”Wait, the what now?” You asked, laughing at the men.
“Yeah, that's why it doesn't come up very often.” Fred turned a very light shade of pink but fortunately Pop’s arrived with the bill.
“Oh, thanks, Pop.” Fred took it and went to go pay.
“Oh, come on, Fred. This was supposed to be my treat.” FP groaned as he complained,
“Hey, you get it next time.” Fred sends it away, but FP calls it back.
“Hey, excuse me. Pop?”
“We invited you guys out. Let me pay.” Jughead digs into his pocket but FP snaps.
“Put your damn money away.”
“FP, take it easy.” Fred furrows his eyebrows at the sudden aggressive behaviour.
“You owe me this.” FP reminded your father. Owed him what exactly you didn't know.
“Yeah.” Fred gave in.
“Yeah.” FP dug out his money and paid the tab.
“Go ahead. You get this one. You know, if I'd have known, I would have gotten another milkshake.” Fred tried to lighten the mood but didn't quite so you tried.
“Hey, talking about the band, why don’t you come back to ours? Show us if you’ve got any tricks up your sleeve? Archie could really use the practise.” You asked FP,
“Yeah?” FP looked over at the boys,
“Yeah, sure. A little jam session would be fun, right dad?” Archie jumped at the idea.
“Um..Sure, sure.” Fred nodded,
“Let’s see how bad you actually are.” Jughead wiggled his eyebrows at his dad, and FP just laughed at the remark before you all headed back to your house.
Now this is where everything truly started. All the times before it was just a school girl’s crush but one slip up, changed everything.
You listened to the boys play in the garage from the outside. You didn't want to intrude on their guy time too much. It was always hard being the only girl in the family and anyway you didn't even play an instrument.
You watched FP on the guitar via the open door, you were a distance away but you could still see the smile on his face as he rocked out.
When they stopped playing you took a moment to lean back as you were sat on the steps and looked at the sky. It was such a nice night and today’s operation ‘help Juggy’s dad’ had gone better than expected.
You hadn't felt this happy in a while.
“What are you doing out here?” You didn't notice FP sneak up on you.
You head shot up and you looked over at the older man.
“Just enjoying the music. I didn't wanna intrude.” You admitted,
“You wouldn't be intruding, you invited me here, you can come into your own garage.” FP laughed and sat beside you. A little closer than he may of intentionally meant to.
“It’s fine. I like it out here anyway, it’s a beautiful night.” You smiled and looked back up at the stars,
“Yeah, it is.” FP said but he wasn’t watching the sky, he was watching at you, not that you noticed. “What year you in now?” FP asked.
“Senior. I go to college next fall.” You hated saying that. You didn’t want to go to college. You liked it in Riverdale, it’s why you chose to stay and not leave with your mother.
“Wow, you kids grow up fast.”FP chuckled, “where you going?” he asked, you faced him again but this time a whiff of strong liquor hit you. He had been drinking.
“I don’t know yet. I don't really want to go if I’m honest.” You rubbed your arm as goosebumps spread over it. FP noticed the chill and placed his arm around you.
“Why not? If Jughead got the chance, I’d be...It’d be amazing.” FP slurred his words slightly, you chuckled at his wobbly head and glazed eyes.
“Maybe cause I have something here that makes me want to stay.” You subconsciously snuggled closer to the man as the wind picked up.
“What? You got some boyfriend that your dad don’t know about?” FP asked.
“No, nothing like that. Guys my age are idiots.” You shook your head, running a hand through your hair.
“Ain’t that true. Well, what then?” FP shook your shoulders a little to try and get it out of you.
“You want me to be honest?” You didn’t know what you were doing, it was like there was some sort of trance over you, FP was finally showing you the attention you’ve craved and now you were about to cave in and finally speak up.
FP didn't say anything but gave you a ‘duh’ face which was funny to see on a man who was usually so serious.
“You.” You whispered quietly.
“Me?” FP was confused, he watched you bite down on your lower lip as you contemplated whether or not you should just tell him the complete truth.
“Yeah... and I’m only telling you this because you won't remember it but, yeah, you. I want to stay because of you, because, huh, I’ve crushed on you forever and I have some messed up idea that if I stay then at least I get to see you.” It all came out right there and then. And that’s where it started.
FP laughed for a moment and stood up.
“You’re funny, you’re cute but funny.” FP started backing up, his hands in his pockets. “I’ve gotta get back to the boys. You know playing with a man’s feelings like that isn't nice, doll.” FP backed away from you to head back to the garage.
You couldn’t believe he thought you were kidding.
“Goodnight, FP.” You just rolled your eyes and headed inside.

I Was Attacked By A Customer In Walmart Today.
So why you ask?
I went to look at clothing with my mom due to the tax free weekend going on. I’d been avoiding even going to a Walmart for months due to being triggered when I went in them for the longest time ( I would have anxiety and panic attacks).
So I gave in to go cause Target didn’t have anything.
I always love to look at the men’s shirts and such cause I love graphic tees. I got Marvel ones in the past and such. I also wanted to see if they had a pair of Jack Skellington PJ Pants that I got years back but Baxter had ripped them. Long shot in the dark, but worth a try.
Well I get to the men’s and notice two young guys acting oddly. I try to shake it off as I walk past to look at the tees. Only got odder that they were staring at me and looking around as if watching out for people watching.
Biggest thing though, one of them had their pants unzipped and un buttoned in the aisle as if they were trying the pants on right there. He looks at me as I past and I him and I’m thinking that’s not cool. He should be using a changing room.
So I walk on to find the pjs bottoms and see an employee and tell her that a pair of guys are acting odd over a couple of aisles and what I saw and that I don’t know what they are doing.
She thanked me and went to look and talk to another employee. I myself still haven’t found the pjs bottoms in the men’s and make an oval back and run into the guys again, and now they are wearing whole different pants that look too new, aka creased as if just bought and not dirty. They keep pulling up these nice pants as if they don’t fit.
I’m like okay that is very weird. As I go back towards where I saw the employee to keep looking for the pj bottoms I run into her talking with another employee and they’re talking about calling the cops. You’re taught not to confront but call help as an employee of Walmart, I remember that when I worked at one shortly.
They see me and ask me about it again and I tell the story again and then add about the pant change and oddity. They head that way and I point out where they had been exactly seeing they moved on. I pointed it out, told them what I saw and such. Like when the one guy tried pants on in the aisle the jeans had been lane across the aisle hangers and such.
So she begins to lead and talk to me to find help when we unknowingly pass the aisle with the guys. We cringe and try to keep going but I don’t know how, but this lad comes charging from the aisle and points at me angrily saying, “what are you accusing my son of!” I’m shocked and confused, but it clicks she must have either heard, saw, or was told by the boys cause we never confronted the woman.
I go into panic mood, and I look to the employee and she at me, so my brain screams start playing dumb cause this lady looks like she’s ready to punch you. I go, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She just thrashes at me verbally attacking me saying, “you know! Say it!” The very nice employee is trying to defuse the situation by asking her what is wrong and how she could help.
Angry lady just snaps at her, “this isn’t about you, this is about her.” And keeps going at me, saying I’m accusing her son and I got to fess up. I keep saying I don’t know what she means and speaking in a calm low voice.
She then starts saying, “yes you do! You’ve been circling around!” I honestly say, “I was looking for pj bottoms.” She then struck back, “Why you even in the men’s? You don’t look like a man, are you?!” I’m a young woman and I just got so offended and said very calmly, “I like to wear things from here. I enjoy wearing Marvel and Nightmare Before Christmas. I have the right to wear what I want.”
She just more upset cause now there are more employees watching and the woman helping me goes over to talk to them. Angry lady sees this and starts raising her voice, “see that! You’re causing a scene!”
Not once have I yelled, cursed, or said anything offensive to her and she’s saying I’m causing all this. She then keeps trying to make me confess and own up to accusing her son for something and is cursing at me saying I should mind my own F***ing business.
I’m starting to tear up cause of all this when my mom appears, “what’s going on here?” She said in the kindest soft tone. I turn and see her and break down even more as the angry lady turns on her, “this is none of your business, this is between me and her!” “I’m her mother, what is going on?” “She knows!”
It keeps going like that until my mom says, “my daughter is on the autism spectrum, can you please be calm in telling me what is going on?” This is true, I am, but you’d have a hard time telling. And I’m officially shutting down like I do when emotional attacked.
The lady doesn’t stop, “then you should keep her by you and not have her wandering around!” And so on. She was basically making me sound like I’m unable to think and should be treated like an animal on a leash. I was so offended but I was bawling too much to say anything.
Finally she seemed to back away and mom rushed me out of there. We ran into the employees, told them what just happened and that I used to work at a Walmart and was only trying to help. They were very kind and thanked me for trying to help. After, mom just dashed us out the door, me sobbing like crazy and chocking as he forgot anything about trying to shop.
As we left, we agreed after I calmed, that it was very damning the way she acted that she had to be guilty of something. You assume someone things your kids are up to something you don’t start accusing and pointing fingers. Especially if no one has said anything to you. It just screams guilty when you attack without anything being said.
So after being shook so bad, we went else where to get stuff.
Still shaky and it took hours to stop crying totally, but I think I’ll be alright. I’ve learned it’s not safe to try and be a good helper cause of crazy people like that. I only wanted to be of help. Started as pointing out a guy was changing pants in an aisle to almost getting physically attacked.
I’m seriously the kindest person I can be. I care about others before me more often then healthy and I treat others as I wish to be treated. I don’t lie, steal, or cheat people. If anything I hold doors open for as many people as I see coming out or in, even if I’m trying to get in or out of the building. I give money I find to the cashier and tell them someone dropped it. I try not to judge and be supportive. If I even accidentally offend or hurt someone I apologize and even end up crying cause I feel bad.
So you can see how this was alarming and very frightening for me.
