This dialogue brought my attention to something that's obvious but I never thought about before until it was said out loud

HUMAN or VAMPIRE...
Ok first thing first, I have something to point out ----for the cure to work, you have to drain every last drops of blood from Elena's body, isn't it?? Like what Silas did with Katherine in Season 5, if I'm not mistaken... but in 8x11, Damon mentioned, I quote, "You realized you take the cure out of Elena's body, that little vial is our one and only dose...". So what's that?? This seems like a contrast & didn't consistent with what happened in Season 5, tho I don't know..maybe there have some circumstances in TVD that change it..
Ok then if the cure works according to what Damon had said, this means that in the next episode Stefan will become human again & this will throw out all his-jerk-humanity-off-attitude. He will become normal again like his usual self, the-hero-hair-martyr-Stefan.. but it's seems to me like he's still doomed to Cade & yea what about with the deal, is it still on, or valid? Tho we have to find out next week...
Well back to business.. Human or vampire? IMO tvd make right decision by turning Stefan to human (if the cure really works) unexpectedly during this 8x11 episode which kinda interesting to see the reaction of other characters to this turn of event & what happen after this to Stefan himself. Tho I must say I expected this (Stefan become human) to be happen in the last episode, like in the ending, for the conclusion of the story thereafter.. Well we'll see whether this is good or worst later on..
I think Stefan is kinda more suitable to become human again compared to Damon & Caroline.
For Caroline, she is a very optimistic & has positive attitude towards everything that happen in her life. So, I think she doesn't even mind if she's permanently a vampire, at least she's alive & healthy & got super strength and speed.. and like her quote, "Some people don't regret it." She swallows all the sucks & take it for the better side of being a vampire & life goes on. So, she is very suits with a vampire lifestyle, but if there's a chance that all vampire can turn human WITHOUT any risks, I think she will take that & will miss her vampire life.
As for Damon, human!? Nahh... I really can't imagine Damon as a human again.. Yes, he was human, but that was almost 200 years ago. Like Katherine said in 2x07 (the masquerade), "What happen to you, Damon? You used to be sweet and polite." to which he replied that, that Damon died a long time ago & she continued with, "Good, he was boring." Being a vampire change him which make his character more diverse. He's quite similar with Caroline but his view is not the same as her. He's literally enjoys being a blood sucker creature & embraces it. He likes the power, the strength, the speed, the compulsion for his own benefit that make his life much more easier. He revels in it & that's why he's suitable as a vampire. Yea I know that he misses being a human and all & already decided to become human with Elena, but TBH IMO he much better fits as a vampire thing. Even in the book, he loves the undead life & trying ways to get back as a vampire when he accidentally became human in Shadow Soul series. The way I see him is lives & dies as a vamp, but I don't know what the ending might be set for him.
So Stefan..yepp he's rightfully fit as living human. "Stefan is different. He wants the whole human experience, to feel every episode of how I met your mother.." (1x21) and "..it's Stefan, he misses being human." (4x13). It's already been known since Season 1 that Stefan effortly trying to feel human. No need to talk much, he even sucks as a vampire as his history of ripper keep coming back to him. Thus earning him credit to human side. But I don’t have a word to say if he’ll try to be ‘V’ right back, but to me that’s not right.
What about other characters?
Elena--for me, I love her character before she turned as 'V' creature. That's the character that charms everyone as protagonist. But then she became a different person after she turned. So I prefer her as human, but I do understood her became vampire important for storyline/plotline development.
Matt--I like TVD make him stays human. Yeah sometimes he’s a jerk & annoying but we need a character that takes on human side, human point of view.
Bonnie--well she's a witch (but loss her juju as for now) but still human for that matter. Vampire for her?? Nope, totally disagree! Even if she did it for Enzo or for plotline to wake Elena up from her supernatural comatose. She's a strong character & already been so much, her uniqueness as witchy really outstanding & shone sparkly. So a no-no on my account.
Alaric--I like him on both side. He did great as vampire who hunted vampire & his character as historical literature person suits him perfectly. But he kinda missing in episodes right now, tho we'll see him sooner. So I don't mind him being whatever he chooses to be.
Enzo--Yes he willing to be a human for B. I think he can be human & rides sunset with Bonnie to a faraway place, but sorry I don't want that (don't take this personally please, it's just my opinion). Him died as a vamp might be okay for him. It's just really shocked me that the dying is by Stefan.
