omg transphobic kid had a civil conversation with trans kid AND asked for their pronouns?? character development
#jokes aside im actually super impressed#like he was kind of confused but trued really hard to be respectful#and he didnt quite know what he was trying to ask but his other friend helped him get his words out#i love seeing people try to be accepting#like REALLY try#not just misgender people constantly and say#oh but im still learning 🥺#and never make an attempt to correct themselves#this is why we need queer education in schools#a lot of times bigotry comes from straight up not knowing#like if your parents raised you on the idea that trans people are Scary and Bad or whatever#and youve never sat down and had an actual conversation with a trans person#you would just blomdly listen to whatever your parents told you#because you dont know any different#bigotry is never excused but most of the time there is a reason for it#amd if you wamt to better yourself you have to try#reach out to people#ask question#you cant just say sorry and excpect everyone to forgive yohr bigotry#but you can work to earn forgiveness and fix whateve damge youve done#anyway rant over sorry
