What gets me abt Watchers is that they straight up don’t need to eat negative emotions, let alone negativity to the extent of the death games. They subsisted perfectly fine off Evo after all!

The Watchers eating emotions is what causes them to disappear from memories in the Traffic SMP. So if they were only eating negative ones the players would still have positive and neutral emotions left. They straight up don’t though so💀it’s literally just because suffering tastes good. The Traffic SMP is the death loop equivalent of an oreo addiction to them. Good god.
