Butterscotch Butler knew about the change from a magical world to a regular world and took advantage of the fresh start to make Gumball her subordinate hit post

More random fionna and cake things for today
So in the same ep as my previous f&c post Bsb (butterscotch butler) says to win the candy chess game (atleast i think its some chess game) that you must know your opponent (gumball)
And she mentions a few things, dreams, ambitions, and then she mentions regrets, where an mini animation of marshall comes up after talking about gumball’s other stuff
So i looked into it and apparently Pb and marceline were exes around the main adventure time which MIGHT mean that marshall shows up during regrets because either gumball regrets leaving marshall or he regrets being with marshall.
I love pg and marshall they r very dear 2 me for some reason (they make me sick /pos)

can you reference where one could find more about the parallels between the human versions of the gender swapped characters. when you showed that green haired girl is fern (blew my mind) you mentioned other people have posted who else is who but i cant find it. thank u
I guess I'll put together a masterpost of all the genderswapped cameos.
Two one-headed two-headed ducks.
Ash and Wildberry Prince
Fern, Hot Dog Prince, and a Banana Guard.
Abracadanielle.
Starchy. She still has her moustache.
Queen of Ooo.
Unknown; people have suggested she might be genderswapped Donny.
Lemonhope.
Unknown, but she sounds like she's voiced by Niki Yang.
This is not Leaf Woman, it's the genderswap of a new character who appears in episode 2 later when Simon is walking home from his quest with Finn.
More Banana Guards.
More original characters, I think. They appear as fairies on Simon's walk home.
Cinnamon Bun.
Butterscotch Butler.
Hunter Wizard.
LSP.
The Lemongrabs and their camel.
Ice Queen.

Gary Prince, Prince Gumball and Princess Bubblegum are actually extremely different characters, despite being alternate universe versions of the same person.
The obvious: Princess Bubblegum is into chemistry and science, while Gary and Prince Gumball both have an interest in baking instead. (Prince Gumball is knowledgeable about chemistry in the comics, but only regarding how it applies to baking specifically.)
Because a lot of Princess Bubblegum’s battle prowess comes from her scientific achievements, this also implies that Prince Gumball is much less adept in battle.
Since Prince Gumball isn’t able to hold his own in battle, this leads to emotional problems that Princess Bubblegum doesn’t have — in the comics, he expresses that he always worries that he’s a burden on his kingdom, because of him being kidnapped and “wasting” his kingdom’s resources
In the words of Adam Muto (one of the showrunners for Adventure Time), Gary is “not necessarily as authoritarian as Princess Bubblegum or as together and commanding. He’s just got some of the ambition, but is a little bit more nervous.”
Gumball and Marshall Lee’s relationship is seemingly at a worse place than Bubblegum’s and Marceline’s ever was, even in early seasons. Their rivalry is way more prominent in their interactions.
The previous statement is supported by Marceline knowing and referring to Bubblegum by her first name, even in early seasons. But Marshall Lee never calls Gumball his first name in any official media. In the show, he doesn’t even call him “Prince Gumball”, exclusively referring to him with a sarcastic “your majesty” or a light insult.
It is possible (but not confirmed) that Prince Gumball and Marshall Lee might not have dated, but were friends with mutual romantic feelings. A song that Marshall Lee reacts strongly to in the comics (implied to be because it reminds him of himself and Prince Gumball) has a line about “All those ‘I love yous’ I wish I’d said”, implying that the feelings were unspoken.
In the present day, Butterscotch Butler seems to dislike Marshall Lee a lot more than Peppermint Butler dislikes Marceline. This is implied to be because Marshall Lee messes with Gumball a lot more than Marceline messes with Bubblegum. (Or, at least, Prince Gumball vents about Marshall Lee’s pranks more to Butterscotch than Princess Bubblegum does to Peppermint.) (Or it’s just that Butterscotch reads Gumball’s diary in canon.)
It may be because he’s a boy, so it’s more noticeable, but Prince Gumball has always read way more prissy to me when compared to Princess Bubblegum, as well.
Prince Gumball’s prissiness seems to manifest in Gary as being a neat freak (folding Fionna’s clothes for her). Princess Bubblegum doesn’t have this trait, as she’s shown to let her surroundings get really messy when she’s hyperfocused on a project.
Plus some other key traits and plot points that change between the three of them that I’m sure I’m forgetting!

FIONNA AND CAKE WAS SO GOOD OMFG
*OUT OF ORDER SPOILERS*
+ Hearing "puck them up" and "suck these knucks" threw me off I'm too used to Adventure Time's kid-friendly one liners, not complaining though
+ THEY GOT DONALD GLOVER BACK I'M SO HAPPY
+ Obsessed with LSP feeding squirrels in the middle of the woods - also his design was perfect I need his hat
+ Marshal Lee's mom being Fionna's landlord is so funny to me
+ I too have to take my own clothes back from my cat
+ Does Betty as a person hold any significance in Fionna's world? There's a statue of her so was she a real person to them or was that a coincidence
+ That Ice Prince better show up later I wanna see more of that dude
+ Rat bus
+ ALMOST EVERY VA IS BACK IT'S SO PERFECT
+ What's up with caged Choose Goose what did I forget
+ Does Simon make a living off of being in an exhibit
+ Interesting seeing Butterscotch Butler being Gumball - or Gary's - boss
+ I love that they brought back the song Simon sang to keep himself sane with the crown on and made it the theme song of a show
I'M MAKING THIS SHOW MY WHOLE PERSONALITY I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT EPISODE
