i still think kaeya's pirate grandpa meeting that fallen star mage is the KEY to solving the Kaeya Curse problem. it was revealed in that play that

kaeya was playing a thief who is very obviously meant to be pirate grandpa

the story is based on rumors about a thief and a mage

the mage was portrayed as a fallen star

the play combines idyia's backstory with that of the thief meeting the mage resulting in a mishmash of two seperate plots

that mage could be the reason kaeya is able to exist normally!!

right now, there are only a few mages who double as fallen stars. mage nicole, who is a fallen angel, and potentially octavia, who seems to be an outlander like skirk (also compared to a fallen star/meteorite). another possibility, as crazy as it sounds, is the real princess "fischl" but it's currently impossible to determine who she was and in what time she existed.

with that being said! they went out of their way to emphasize a connection to the jinn, by dropping kaeya in a literal bottle, making him tell stories of the jinn, basing pirate grandpa on aladdin and gifting the traveler a jinni lamp. so perhaps the fallen mage was a jinni, who are the descendants of a fallen angel (nabu malikata) anywyay.

no matter what route they take, it can all be traced back to angelic ancestry/blessing and you can pry this truth™ from my cold dead hands!

I've had a few requests to upload the audio files that could be considered cut content. I also added a bonus laugh track because holy shit...Kar'niss, are you okay?!

The first three lines in particular suggest situational dialogue trees. What it's in relation to is up for debate. My guess is it has something to do with the Shadow curse, either after it has been lifted or sometime during Tav's journey. Either way Kar'niss seems to be perplexed about something or someone and his response changes depending on the outside influence at the time. The background reverberation normally in his speech is also absent.

What gets me is he always ends the statements with "Of course..." as if he's realized something. It's never addressed. Of course what Kar'niss, of course what?? Of course you want to kiss me, of course you want to marry me?! Tell me the rest, finish the statement. YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME HANGING LIKE TH--

Edit: The sound bytes are in relation to Kar'niss meeting Tav without the lantern and wondering how they survived the darkness. Thank you @abaubauh! That makes a lot of sense.

Idc if this comes off as "harsh" but imma say what needs to be said. There's no fucking excuse for digital artist that white-wash/lighten brown and black characters. I'm tried of all the "it's just the lighting😿" and "it's not that deep☠️" because we know damn well it ain't the light and it is in fact "that deep".

Digital artist have access to millions of colors and resources to the point it should literally be impossible to white wash darker skinned characters!!!!!

Then on top of that we only have so many black/darker-skinned characters as is and for you to go out of your way to significantly lighten these characters shows your lack of common fucking sense.

In addition, I also wanna talk about the black acoss the spiderverse characters specifically bc thats the whole reason im making this post. STOP TAKING AWAY THE 4C HAIR TEXTURE THESE CHARACTERS HAVVE. I recently came across a drawing of hobie brown on Twitter with "wet hair" and tell me why tf the artist drew him with golden retriever straight hair💀. When he literally wears WICKSSS!!! Plus the artist gave a shit ass apology and said "if you dont like it scroll away".

IN CONCLUSION, if you can't draw darker skinned characters properly then don't draw them at all‼️‼️

Along those lines definitely!! Sometimes less opulent and more geometric/minimalist depending on the individual's vibe (think Kerry Eurodyne's neck piece from CP2077) but there's like a 70% chance the picture above would actually be installed on their necks rather than worn as an accessory!! People really lean into the Mr. Potato Head detachable pieces look in this era :) it's fashion, dahling.

And to note: only a tiny tiny TINY percentage of the population know about vampires, so these neck plates aren't worn intentionally for protection; that's just an enjoyable side benefit!
