Thinking about YJ …. The way that hanging out together was the only time they got to be real kids but still actually true to themselves… they have integral parts of who they are ( their superhero monikers the whole vigilantism job )

But they had to hide these key parts of their life from people that they really care about and most relevant: other kids their age and their friends and for Cassie case well other kids didn’t believe her anyway when she said she was WG . In Kon’s case he literally has no other kids his age who can even begin to understand his situation but these kids who see crazy shit every day

These kids who so regularly are put in positions children should never have to and do it all because they want to help and care about others . It’s a concept difficult to explain to someone who isn’t a hero as well . And when most of the heroes treat you different because of your age and you so often aren’t really a kid because of these dangerous situations you traverse so usual dealing and grappling with topics alongside adults.

Well its fun to have a friends you age who you can be silly and have fun with really be a kid when you so often deny yourself to remain as a hero when everything is serious and is a matter of life and death.

But ITS especially fun to have friends who you can be silly and fun with AND that you can still do as you want to . Save people and not have to explain where you were why your risking yourself what’s the purpose and why bother . It’s good to be true to who you are and to not deny this part of you that really loves that.
