The words replayed in her head like the dialogue she had memorized time and time again with West World. In a sense, they felt like a script, a reality she couldn't escape no matter how hard she tried. And it wasn't as though she wanted to escape, that was the least of her worries. The part that made her feel sick, in whatever sense she could, was the reality that the world she could give to him was far less than he deserved. All she could give him was herself, not the typical sense in what people were after. There was no life with her, not one that she understood; at one point he'd grow old, and she never would. The possibility of a family was ever so far away from grasp.

"That's quite the decision, isn't it?" Maeve knew better than to compare it to that. Was love, like existence, ever a choice? It made her skin crawl as she nodded, still keeping her distance between him and the words that filled the space between them.

"How do you know?" The question wasn't meant to be rude, but trying to understand. At her core, she knew she loved him as well, or as much as she could as the sentient being that she was. "How do you know you're not... Just enjoying your time here?"

With both of them having the day off, Priya declared they needed a beach day--and naturally, that included a rolling cooler full of snacks and alcohol. So once the umbrella was propped in the sand and their towels and things all spread out, Priya dug into the cooler and took out a bottle of tequila already pre-mixed to essentially be margaritas. "I have some white claws in there too if you want to start small." she teased, shaking the bottle playfully.

UGH such a good question. they're the kind of couple to literally propose at the same time because they're just that stupid and in love but I think that Techno got to it first.

they were out together watching the Aurora Borealis, all cuddled up together. Phil's wing around Techno like a blanket while simultaneously using him as a space heater.

they'd had a stress free day because they had both unknowingly delegated all of their work off to someone else. they were actually lounging in bed when Phil asked Techno if they could go see the northern lights.

this was, of course, the perfect moment for Phil to propose! too bad techno got to it first lmfao

they were watching the lights, hand in hand, when Phil felt Techno shift against him. he looked over just in time to see Techno open up a little box with a stunning emerald and obsidian ring inside.

Techno asked Phil to marry him right there, with so much love and admiration in his eyes that Phil nearly forgot about his own ring, resting safely in his cloak pocket. he pulls it out as well and watches as the love on Techno's face turns to elation.

Techno's ears and tail flap and wag when Phil presents him with his own ring of emerald and gold. they both blink away happy tears, beaming and giggling at the situation.

Phil throws himself in techno's arms, bowling him over until they're both covered in snow and laughing like maniacs.

"Of course I'll marry you" Techno whispers into Phil's ear, holding Phil tight where he lays atop him. And Phil can't help but kiss him

The sight of her in her lingerie might lure another beast, however. And Alter doesn't respect Host at all when it comes to have her -- and being the first to have her as their official wife? He'd gotten the call from Helen, who'd been whipping up her second casserole of the evening to bring to the MacNallys after Ally had called her in a panic, but thankfully by that point in time they were able to confirm that Maeve was okay. Well, as okay as someone who'd just overdosed the evening prior could be, but nevertheless, she was going to live. Somehow. Niko wished he could say he was surprised to hear the news, though, if he was being honest he saw something like this happening from a mile away. Maeve had always been rather chaotic, but since Dean's death something had shifted in her. He saw it, he knew other's saw it, and while a part of him definitely felt a bit guilty for not trying to intervene, he knew it wouldn't have made a difference -- and anyway, he was here now.

"Always gotta be the center of attention," Niko remarked wryly as he stepped into the hospital room, eyes scanning the interior -- the 'get well soon' gifts, the florescent lights, the heart monitor -- before finally landing on Maeve. "I know I'm probably a little late to the party. Figured your family would be crowding in here soon after you woke up and -- well, you know." He paused, brows knit together. "I heard it was a close call."

Ella hadn't slept in what felt like forever but in reality had only been 24 hours. The poster was sticking out in their mind and they had read it on their phone so many times it felt like the print was embedded in their head. Giovanni Ricci is running for Mayor. At first the name felt foreign to them and then as his picture came into view it had become a lot more clear. They felt sick to their stomach as the realization hit them and suddenly their apartment felt too small. They went for a walk to clear their head but all they could think about was the damn poster. How smug he looked. How his daughter had been quoted in the press release. How their entire family was just perched and ready to take over the town that Ella loved dearly. Their fingers hovered over their phone screen for what felt like ages until they finally texted the two people they probably trusted most right now and told them plainly they needed to see them immediately.

As soon as they did it their heart started racing and they realized this was it, this was the moment they had been fearing since that first conversation with Sully years ago. They jumped as soon as they heard the doorbell, grateful when they were both standing there and wondering what their run in must have been like in the driveway. If they were less freaked out they might have teased them about it. "Listen I know you're both thinking this is probably an intervention for the two of you but this is actually not about you at all so I need you to sit somewhere comfy and listen to me very carefully. haha uh. nope!

i didn't come up with any of those, so, he does not lmao. he DOES have a variety of aunt- and uncle-like figures who are his mom's friends, many of whom were her colleagues when she worked at the daily prophet - she left her job when barty was born, then as he got older started moving more into art history and research, which is what she *really* wants to do, but she didn't start going full tilt on that until he'd left for hogwarts

SO since harriet was being a stay-at-home mom, her friends often came to her (or she'd like. meet up with them, she wasn't a shut-in until her family was placed under ministry security), and since barty was basically glued to his mom, this means he's very familiar with all of them and they've known him since he was a baby. probably some of them have kids as well, although jury's out on whether they're remotely near barty's age

Maeve had a pretty hectic afternoon at the diner, the place filling up and her other help not able to come in, but she’d finally had a moment to breathe and was cleaning up when she found the journal tucked against the wall and one of the chairs.  She’d just brought it to the counter when the young woman walked in, Maeve offering her a shy smile and a nod. “Yes miss, it’s right here.  It’s no bother! I’m glad we had it.” She gently set it down on the counter in front of her, glad to be able to return it.

Romane's shoulders fall in relief as she turns to look up at her and smiles a little. "Oh, thank you, I don't know what I would have done without this." She admits, taking the journal gently and pressing it to themselves, still just happy to have it back. "This thing holds a lot of meaning to me, I feel so dumb to have even left it." Romane muses with a small laugh.

mason novak — one of my tlou2 babies! he’s a member in WLF that’s kinda fallen to wayside as the group went in hard on the seraphites. he’s been looking for a way out for a while and a lot of the others knew + his little bestie had joined up with the opposite side and they realized he was being too soft on them and well … they tried to get rid of him after he started being too lenient when their supply lines were being hit. he ends up being taken in by @queennymeria ‘s ,raquel, and the two of them hsve their magical frenemies to friends to lovers arc and once they escape to canada, they have their own little family (with their bb. ozzy) 😌💕
