Winning recipe. The team at Vengeance Racing equipped this 2023 Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray with just the right combination of upgrades to make a big impact. On the power side of the equation, they combined a Halltech Systems Hornet cold air intake, CNC ported throttle body, Late Model Engines CNC LT2 cylinder heads, Jet-Hot coated Fabspeed HK long-tube headers & high-flow catalytic converters, and FabSpeed HK catback exhaust to add 50HP. On the style side, they added ACS Composite carbon fiber splitter & side skirts and Vengeance Racing CNC Raised Letter valve covers that are color-matched to a Late Model Engines CNC Billet LT2/C8 intake manifold. And for grip, they lowered the static ride height on factory suspension and installed Carbotech brake pads, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, and 20x9/21x12 Forgeline one piece forged monoblock VX1R wheels finished in Transparent Smoke! Product Manager Harlan Charles Calls the New 2020 Corvette Stingray 'New Kind of Sportscar'

People think Corvette Stingray 2020 is the same as Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren but Corvette Product manager, Harlan Charles think different about it. Harlan Charles told us the Corvette Stingray team researched to make a track car that could also serve as a “daily driver” without following current European sports cars like the Ferrari 188 Spider, Lamborghini Huracan and McLaren 570s Spider. The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 2020 has the next-gen 6.2-liter “small-block” V-8 LT2 engine. This engine produces 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of peak torque. This car offers nearly 1G ultimate cornering performance. Corvette Stingray can be reached to 60 mph in less than three seconds. The crowd’s attention focused on another thing at the event. It was this new car base price – under $60,000. General Motors President, Mark Reuss was a very enthusiastic presenter at the event. Corvette Product Manager, Harlan Charles said “Our goal from the beginning was to do the first attainable mid-engine V8 supercar and make the dream come true for a lot of people,” “You don't have to win the lottery to be able to have a car like this.” We can see, The Corvette development team made this car with many benefits that might cost three times. As well as that they make a way to deliver a very authentic mid-engine supercar experience. They bring new technology like the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission with Corvette Stingray 2020. Harlan Charles said “Our new dual-clutch transmission and the launch-control system help the car hook up extremely quickly,”

image source:  www.forbes.com “With the eight gears and because it shifts so fast, we're able to have very fast gearing in the lower gears that help the car accelerate quickly.” As Chevrolet says the dual-clutch “manumatic” that allows the manual selection of individual gears via paddle shifters will be a more than adequate replacement. Corvette driver can disconnect the clutch for more manual control using transmission’s special double-paddle de-clutch feature. Gears two through six deliver rapid acceleration. The top two gears give more relaxed cruising and improved fuel economy. The Corvette Stingray has dual-clutch transmission and sumptuously finished interior. As well as that Corvette has well designed. With all of that, we can see Chevrolet has been done many things to reach its aggressive price point.

We’re proud of the engineering that went into it because there's a lot of appreciation for these ultra-expensive supercars. But we think the real genius of what we've done is make this car more capable.” Importantly, every supersport car needs an aerodynamic body. So, Corvette Stingray needs the aerodynamic body. They made this super-fast car more beautiful while at the same time conforming to the aerodynamic needs. Charles said the design team had two goals. That two goals are to exploit the advantages of the mid-engine configuration while at the same time making certain the “C8” is recognizable as a Corvette. Corvette Product Manager, Harlan Charles said “What we wanted to do with the design of the car was keep the cues that people are familiar with — the strong face of the car, the arched fenders, and the dominant fender line,” “So, we kept the core of that basic character and applied it to this new proportion with the more cab-forward look. We feel like we've got much more F-16 fighter jet influence, which relates well with American engineering and aerospace as well.”
