A Little Preview For A Future Adam/Eve (my adamsapple fanfic on a03) Chapter!!!

This is the Cain birth flashback so it won't be on A03 for a few more chapters, but I wanted to share something on here because I haven't published anything for the fic in a long while. Junior year of undergrad has been wild. I should have a new chapter sometime in the next week (fingers crossed) as I am finally going to be done with my work soon. Curse my school for running on such a weird fucking schedule compared to the rest of American colleges. Anyways, here is a little Cain as Adamsapple child because I love throwing shit in the void.

A cry. Something inside of him, some instinct, recognized it and said mine, mine, mine. That was his and he needed to help it right now. He wanted it so badly, he began pushing as if stopping would mean death. He needed it right now. He pushed and pushed as what was his cried and cried. Then, like it was the most natural thing in the world, he knew it was over and he was ready to take what was his. How he knew was a mystery. He knew very little, that was clear through just how badly he failed at his purposes. But he knew this. 

With the last bit of his strength, he pulled himself up and cautiously looked in front of him. A beautiful little thing lay there, perfect in every way. It had little fingers and little toes. Its little tufts of hair, illuminated in the moonlight, was the same beautiful color he had grown to love on Luci. This creature was the both of them, wrapped up in one. Losing his hesitation, he reached out and gently lifted up the little thing. He understood than his purpose, just why the Elders wanted more humans. The little bundle in front of him became his entire world in an instant. 

The little one quieted in his arms. The infant instinctively latched onto his parent. Adam smiled.

“My baby,” he cooed, stroking the blonde curls on the infant's head, “My perfect little Cain.” 

Things weren’t perfect. He was alone in taking care of Cain. Somehow, he knew that the child was Lucifer's and that fact would cause issues. He still didn’t understand many things. But one thing was certain, he loved his Cain.
