Traditional Calendar Designs

These are calendar designs I created for clients during my time at Rianella Printing Press. I kept the designs simple, often using just one color, as adding more would have exceeded their budget. I'm proud of this work because it allowed me to connect with local businessmen and professionals in Baguio, and they were very pleased with the results. I have many more calendar design projects, but these are the ones I’m most proud of.

Glamorous Girls Illustrated By Rolf Armstrong In The Early 20th Century

American commercial artist and illustrator Rolf Armstrong (1889–1960) was known for his glitzy portrayals of women. His calendar designs and magazine covers are what made him most famous.

He was referred to as the “creator of the calendar girl” by the New York Times in 1960. From 1912 until 1960, he pursued a commercial career, producing most of his original artwork in pastel.
