JENDJD sorry if i'm being annoying with the questions but how do you think midoriya would then react to izumi!! we know he's originally quirkless, and only becomes a hero because he receives a quirk, so how do you think he'll feel/think in response to seeing izumi become a hero without a quirk? and especially when she beats bakugo too (it's not a matter of if, but a matter of when :)) who's the epitome of being strong to him?

Hahahah, see I think there would be a similar kind of tension that there is now in the story where Midoriya unknowingly exhibits a bit of jealousy towards Izumi's ease in assuming a hero-like role and Izumi at the same time is a bit resentful about Midoriya's 'innocence' about heroism. It's all a misunderstanding, but Midoriya was also always seeking out power. He has his one heroic act without a quirk in saving Bakugou, but even that proves inefficient as All Might needs to save him. He accepts All Might's words that being quirkless automatically means that you cannot be a hero and Izumi's not the kind of person to ever accept that because to her being a hero isn't necessarily about strength. It's why she doesn't go after the No. 1 position. Being a hero is about helping people and there's no compromise on that for her.

When it comes to Bakugou that tension would just be increased, right? Because Bakugou is Midoriya's idea of victory and strength, but to Izumi, Bakugou is constantly changing into a better version of himself with every set-back he suffers and that's what she admires about him, but he's also not this ideal. He's just another person to her.

Izumi would...and kinda does in WHD...see Midoriya's acquisition of One for All as something he got duped into by his All-Might worship. He was not prepared for it and she doesn't find it fair that he was given this huge burden instead of having his natural talents nurtured.

Kaminari had tried to discreetly turn to Hanta, past the view of the papparzzi and the flashing cameras in front of them. He could feel Hanta's eyeroll from where he stood, posing and smiling before he whispered under his breath:

"Shut up."

"You suck," Denki playfully nudged him, hiding his tiny eyeroll as a joke passed off between the two of them for the paparazzi. "It's not my fault I'm nervous."

Finally, their spot on the red carpet with had ended, and the two of them trailed behind Kirishima and Katsuki who'd already started speedwalking their way into the gala ahead of them.

"It is though," Hanta rolled his eyes. "I know she's like your crush or whatever, and it's a huge deal that she's coming on our tour as an opener — but you need to chill out."

"You literally just explained why I can't chill out." Denki huffed.

"You're acting like she's gonna spit in your face the second she sees you." Hanta laughed at the increasingly nervous expression coming up Denki's face. "She's nice from what I've heard from Mina; just don't act like an idiot and you'll be fine."

"Easy for you to say," Denki mumbled under his breath, but Hanta was no longer paying attention, instead awestruck by both the decorations (vines and fresh flowers, climbing each column and wall of the room while also hanging from the ceiling in a makeshift chandelier — in accordance with the theme) as well as all the celebrities in attendance.

If he really wanted to, Denki would've needed both his fingers and toes to count the amount of childhood heroes present in just that room — that was enough to get his heart pounding as he followed behind Hanta.

But even worse, he could see you standing and talking to both Katsuki and Eijirou just ahead. Hanta nudged him forward from behind him, and before he knew it he was standing right in front of you with wide eyes, trying not to freak out.

(You looked so pretty in that dress — that was the only thing he could think of as you talked to the rest of his group; that was, until Bakugou nudged him on the shoulder.

"R'you gonna answer her? Or are you gonna keep staring at her?")

saw that anon's ask about how izumi being quirkless, and how do you think this would affect her relationship with bakugo? from their friendship to even romantic relationship?

Hmmm, I don't think Izumi would give him the time of day until much much later. She'd stick closer to the people she knows like Tenya and Shouto. Izumi wouldn't let Bakugou even entertain the thought of thinking lesser of her because of it. She'd probably throw her full weight into beating him once to get him to shut up and then refuse to even acknowledge his presence until he gets his act together.

In this version, if the romance existed, I don't Katsuki would be as blunt as he is in WHD, because there's the added tension of his initial thoughts on her being quirkless which he needs to own up to and work to heal.

djsanfjjyaksn, I shout re-read it too. The next chapter's almost done, so I'm excited to share it. Lots of Class 1-A moments and emotional payoff. Plus, Shouto and Izumi make a big decision regarding Touya.

We're not done with Aoyama yet--since things are changing, he's going to have a more important role in the story.

Katsuki's been awakening to his realization on his own, but sometimes, it helps to hear that the people who care about you believe in you too. He still has some way to go.

Lol, I think Hawks is a lot more calculating than that, but he's going to be in for a surprise when he witnesses that the Todoroki family (minus Endeavor) really just embraces the people in their lives.

The Katsuki/Midoriya fight is half-way done. I'm leaning more toward the emotional edge than the physical. At this point of the story, Katsuki knows what he needs to do for himself, but he's still very much looking for some sort of guidance after having lost Best Jeanist and having his love for All Might challenged, so we'll see All Might finally speak to him too.
