The main reason for visiting Jaisalmer, is an ancient fort city, which rides camels through the rolling sand dunes of the Thar Desert. Some people will tell you that this is "very tourist" but I am not! I liked everything about it However, I hate to think that someone will come by Jaisalmer and only safari will do it. There is a lot in Jaisalmer, so give yourself enough time. I will share my experience with a camel safari in Jaisalmer and next time I will do different things.

Camel Safari in Jaisalmer: Bookings

There are loads of companies offering safari and every hotel can connect you with a guide, but hotels are often taking commission. I suggest prices compare online, which people are telling you in shops and hotels. You can meet very cheaply, but I randomly booked the Royal Hotel through the Khoori docks for Rs 1500. It was more than my budget at that time, but I met one of my friends, who had pre-booked with him and could not change it.
