As autumn was slowly moving towards its end, Spooky Day came around and, despite Emma being heavily pregnant at this point, the McGregor's decided to host a party for friends and family. They had bought lots of different sweets and decorated the house with pumpkins, some of them they had even carved themselves.

The party guests, apart from their close friends, were mainly the younger generation of Emma's extended family, although Charlotte was also there, being the youngest of the aunts and uncles and wanting to use the opportunity to dress up and visit her favourite niece.

Everyone had come in different exciting costumes, Sean and Darrel even had costumes crafted by their mother, though the masks came off as soon as sweets were involved. Knowing her sons well, Christine had painted their faces, too, as a backup. Emma and Niall had been lucky to find some promotional costumes of the new Snow White film at the studio, which they obviously had to make use of.

In the end, it was a fun night for all. Even though Kenneth and Harriet seemed to pretend it was not, to not come across as childish, they ended up leaving with smiles on their faces, just like everyone else.
