Yeah, pretty often. I've got a few to put up for sale this week actually.

The camera i now use (see posts from sept. 14th 2024 and up) is a Canon PowerShot A700! I had the chance to thrift it for 5$, I don't think it's very common as it is fairly old but it works like a beaut and I love her :)

The camera I used in the past is a Vivitar vivicam E009 I purchased from Walmart for 60$ (it is used in posts prior to sept 14th 2024). For those curious, for the price point, I do not think it is worth it. The camera constantly died (even when the batteries were fully charged) and the performance overall left much to be desired.

Slow poster!! Occasional photo dumps of my adventures. (leaving the house is a rarity)

Dates on the pictures may not be accurate, both of my cameras do not retain time.

So I have made a rather important decision about my creative direction.

Yes, I will continue to shoot film! In fact film is the genre of photography I enjoy most, you can do things in seconds it takes hours in Photoshop to emulate.

However, to get the level of output I want without spamming my entire back catalog in one for before running out of time and film to make daily posts, I will be bringing my Canon PowerShot digital out of mothball and supplementing my analog output with digital while learning to use my 8 year old camera to its full potential.

This in mind I have made a few purchases:

A battery for my Canon; an FPP Debonair 120 camera; 2 rolls Ilford XP2 film in 120.

The love of photography must diversify and be ever adaptable.

I'm not doing photography anymore, I said after the order for a replacement battery for my 11 year old camera was made. I may well be still burned out after so long, but the battery I have for my DSLR is the one that came with it and it doesn't hold a charge for as long as it used to. It's a Nikon D1500, so it's long since discontinued. I'd rather not get a new model if I'm only expecting to use it on vacation.

In other news, my mom unearthed my long-lost Canon PowerShot from a closet while cleaning. I can't, for the life of me, remember how I lost it in... I don't know, 2012? 2013? For what it's worth, the AA batteries in that one had a 2018 expiration date, so I replaced those and... The LCD is black, but I can see the pictures on the card through the viewfinder. :[

And I know it really has been a long time since I used the Canon because the first picture I saw was of Leif, one of our late Norwegian Forest cats. He was as sweet as they come and I'm missing him terribly again.

Vacation is weeks away for me. It's already kind of a given that I bring my DSLR. It's partly old habits kicking in, though I still like using the telephoto lens.

the hp camera from my infancy is fighting for her life but i think if i get her some new AA batteries she'll be okay, the canon powershot just needs to have its battery charged i think and thankfully i have the charger, but i had to buy a new battery + charger off of amazon for the camcorder. will be needing more sd cards though but otherwise they all werk ^_^
