You, Lily, and Severus were childhood friends

You were put into Slytherin because of your competitive nature, and sharp determination

You were called the “mom of Slytherin” often times due to the fact that everyone thought you were too caring to be in the serpent’s house

Yet, you were happy there

Until the turn of the Death Eaters

You saw how it was effecting Sev, and hated it

You were the one who convinced Lily to see his change too

So you stopped hanging around your housemates and ate with your other friends

Sometimes it was Lily, other times it was with your friends from Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff

You often were called an honorary Hufflepuff 

But they said that your sense of humor gave you that Slytherin bite 

Sirius never thought he would fall for a Slytherin 

He had nothing against a particular house, but always associated Slytherins with the slimy Snivillus 

And your past friendship with him didn’t help your relationship with Sirius at first

He actually kind of hated you

Yet, as he got older and matured, he realized how much of an ass he was being

Mainly because Lily also refused to talk to any of them until they stopped bothering you

Then blossomed your friendship with the Marauders 

and Sirius quickly fell for your sharp wit and sense of humor

He admired how good you were with the younger students

You made it a goal to make sure the younger Slytherins were not converted to the Death Eaters 

One night you told him that you would try your hardest to look out for his brother 

And that is the moment he knew he had fallen for you
