The Notebook
Ambrose Spellman X Reader
Word Count: 827
Requested: Anon
Request: Can you do a one shot about a reader writing stuff in a book that’s magical but she doesn’t know it, and everything she writes in it is true? CAS. Ambrose figures out what’s going on and has to tell reader that the journal she has isn’t a regular journal. Reader she got it at some yard sale but it was a trap and this person who sold it to her knew she had a wild imagination. (Idk lol) lots of cuteness but reader is confused and Ambrose ends up having to erase her memories of what happened.
Tumblr media
You were the only mortal that Ambrose knew, you were born to a family of witches but for some reason, you couldn't use magic and so you were left in the mortal world and the Spellmans decided that you were the best person to watch Sabrina when she was at school as you would be able to go to school with her, you weren't the same age as her but you looked it an with some magic tricks you were legally the same age as her and started school the same day. You, unfortunately, didn't know a lot about magic and that meant that you didn't realise that the book you were sold wasn't exactly normal.
Ambrose knew that there was something going on he just didn't know what it was, not until he saw the book that you were carrying around, he had seen something like that before but he couldn't remember where at first but after a little research he found that it was a book that can materialise everything that you wrote inside of it, you had been using it as a diary and that was why it seemed like everything that you wanted was happening around you, he remembered you saying that you got it from an old store not far from your house so he decided to pay them a visit, when he walked in he could tell that there was something wrong and when his eyes finally landed on the owner of the store he realised what had happened. "I was wondering if I could inquire about a book?" He asked. "You can try." The cashier shrugged and he rolled his eyes. "You sold something to a friend of mine." He explained, "a book that makes everything she writes in it real." "Oh, I remember that one, it's actually just all of the bad things that she writes in there that become real." The Cashier smirked as he leaned against the counter "heard her talking about those popular kids, knew she'd be able to give me a good meal." "You demon disgust me." Ambrose sneered as he turned to walk out of the store. "Where do you think you're going?" the cashier asked. "I can't just let you walk out." "Try and stop me." Ambrose dared them and he was the one that walked out on top.
That evening he called you and asked you to come over, you when you showed up you had your door you still had your book with you and he smiled as he invited you in "you said that it was urgent what's going on?" You asked. "You remember I asked about that book?" He asked carefully and you nodded looking at it before clutching to book to your chest. "I asked because I remembered seeing a book like that before and it turns out that you have a book that is supposed to be with the witches." "What does it do?" You asked. "It makes all the bad things you write in there real." He answered. "All the bad things?" You asked. as the book slipped from your grip hitting the floor but you don't even hear it as you think about the things that you had written in the book about all of those popular kids that made you their physical and verbal punching bag. "I didn't mean for them to get hurt, I hurt them." "No, it wasn't your fault." He answered. "But I was the one that wrote all of those things." You answered, "how is this not my fault!?" Ambrose thought that this was going to happen so he leads you into the kitchen where there was a tea that he had made earlier, once you had drunk it the potion in it would change your memories of the past couple of days, you'd forget the book and everything that happened and the empty space would be filled with memories of the time you had spent with Ambrose and Sabrina, he'd have to explain everything to Sabrina later so that she didn't mention it to you but this was the best plan that he had that allowed you to live happily. "Here drink this." You took a sip and he smiled encouragingly, he watched as it started to work and a second later you frowned as you touched your face. "Why am I crying." You mumbled. "I don't know my love, why are you crying." Ambrose walked over gently wiping the tear from your face gently. "How many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me that?" You asked, pushing his hand away as you quickly wiped your face. "Now what are we doing?" You asked. "Whatever you want my love." He answered and you rolled your eyes again at the pet name before he grabbed your hand and dragged you towards the stairs leading towards his room and as far away from that book as possible.
