鐵馬，又稱人流管制障礙物，它的出現固然是為管理人潮，在擠迫的情況下疏導人群。在香港，鐵馬既是規範遊行人士路線的工具，某程度上也分開了示威者與警察。「鐵馬雖然是一個工具，但它背後有很強烈的象徵意義，鐵馬兩邊是很不同的人，鐵馬一邊是制度與強權，另一邊是民眾與雞蛋。」九十後藝術家吳碩軒（Jerry）如是說。他正於「WMA映香港攝影比賽作品展——機遇」聯展上展出作品「鐵馬圍城」，鐵馬既圍繞我城，更圍起示威者。

Unlike certain striped wild horses I could name, they're actually pretty chill and the male at my local zoo will come right up to the fence to let people give him scritches. It's like petting a living velour couch or one of those 'velvet' covered plastic horses kids get sometimes as toys. Absolutely unlike any other ungulate I've ever touched, including giraffes (although the giraffe experience was less a memory of touch and more like 'HOLY SHIT BIG' while a surprising rough tongue longer than my arm licked lettuce leaves out of my palm)

Plague

“So He gave them what they asked for, but He sent a plague along with it.” Psm 106:15NLT

Have you ever read Psalms 106? This chapter takes a walk through the days from the Israelites in Egypt, through the glorious miracles done, the idolatry, possession of the Promised land, then disobediences leading to captivities. David repeatedly acknowledges how his people continued to sin and be disobedient, to the point of their own harm.

Psm 119:71NLT: “The suffering you sent was good for me, for it taught me to pay attention to your principles.”  Could King David possibly have been saying, ‘the terrible time running from his son Absalom taught him to not covet another man’s wife, commit adultery, and murder?

One prayer, I prayed as a teen, was to win my rival’s boyfriend. God allowed me to win him, even marry him. I learned to never covet someone who belonged to another person. With the answer to the ‘my way’ prayer came a plague of adultery, abuse, attempted murder, and PTSD. My suffering through those years was horrific. I would’ve been much better, if I could’ve of sang, ’I Thank God For Unanswered Prayer.’

In the midst of my personal ‘plaque time,’ I wondered around lost. I constantly lied to myself, because I chose rebellion. These choices, to keep lying to myself, kept me from embracing God’s law. David understood this too, when he wrote: “Keep me from lying to myself; give me the privilege of knowing your law.” Psm 119:29NLT

Lostness, aka ‘sin’ causes people to disregard God’s Word, in requesting what ‘they want,’ rather than God’s perfect will. During that lost condition, I saw the Bible as a book of ‘don’ts.’ Everything represented restraints, or confinements. Actually constraints we’re already thoroughly ensconced in my mind— a classic case of spiritual blindness combined with utter ignorance. David again hit it squarely when he wrote— “You made me; you created me. Now give me the sense to follow your commands” Psm 119:73NLT. For “sense” is what I desperately needed.

Addictions represent the number one ‘lie to self.’ Praying for freedom to live as they want— they’re found as captives to sin and unable to stop their personal plagues. Eventually the drug abuse and addictions equal death. Having hit an all time high, addictions claim more lives than all the various ‘deaths by violence combined.’ They think as I thought— The  Christian life was filled with don’ts and can’ts. Satan so blinds the unbelievers eyes, (2Cor 4:4), they see hate instead of love and bondage instead of freedom— polar-opposites of God’s reality— mercy, grace, love and deliverance, not a house of mirrors. Gal 5:1 ESV “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.”

What have you been praying for instead of trusting God for? Friend, it’s time for freedom. Turn to God, praying— Lord, life has “taught me to pay attention to your principles.” I ask “give me the privilege of knowing your law; …give me the sense to follow your commands.” Spiritual blindness and utter ignorance isn’t the bondage you want to live with, is it? It’s your choice. You choose.

PRAYER: Almighty God, I need what You know will be good for me. Help myself and these readers to live trusting You first, in Jesus’ name I pray.

Heavens wrath

The distant sound of thunder cracking and ripping through the darkened sky as feet land on the ground as rain begins to fall.

Emerald eyes slowly look up towards the other.

“Found you.”

Things had gone so wrong so fast...hadn't they? His mentors death....one of the final bastions of a parental figure in his life was taken from him. Though...deep down he knew something was wrong, his mentor had slowly grown more distant, anger in his eyes and a desire for something he had felt in himself there and again. 

Then came his burial all that rage and anger he had seen in his mentors eyes now dulled and gone but he didn't believe it something felt wrong his mentors knew something was up as well it wouldn't be the first strategy where a general would tell their men to spread false information across a battlefield to lure someone out of hiding...or to attain something.

When things started going on whispers and cracks appearing throughout the underground he knew something was up. 

A new group suddenly appearing from nothing? so close to events that were suspicious at best and a much bigger scheme at worst?  

Best case scenario...a villain had somehow captured all might and faked his death before bringing this group to creation..and worst case? The pillar of hope had turned rogue. 

Either or he was enraged and it was time to fully bring down heavens wrath. 

As a child if he had been found by villains or vigilantes his quirk could have brought a new age of terror with its versality and power even before he himself acquired ofa. Whilst ofa brought him faster to a full manifestation in truth it may have only been a certain amount of time before he could have acquired it on his own. 

What he did next he didn't have to ask for permission to do he could have just done it but he felt it was necessary to let those who had cared for him for so long to know his plans...they couldn't have stopped him even if they wanted too but it didn't have to come to that. His actions werent out of cruelity, evil..they were simply necessary.

This group that either holding all might captve or was all might himself? They were in his sights. Disruptions, raids, tracking, reporting. Using all the tactics he had learned as a teen training him to be a general like his mentors before him. Anything to make this new factions life a living hell, its members broken, its foundation crumbling. He was but one man but he was a little emperor and he was waging war. All of each thing he did to lead him back to its source, the beginning of all this corruption. 

One man can only do so much..an annoyance but it was distractions things that would allow him to work out and finally find the leader. 

Lightning illuminated them as izukus eyes were narrowed slightly. The normal golden with hues of yellow his hero outfit royal and pristine was not being worn. Instead tight dark leathers akin to a ninja an assassin. “I had hoped...but i knew this could be the highest reality. I wonder. Does it make you proud that this thirst for revenge has caused all this?”
