Hope you're having a great day. I am in beautiful, upscale Beverly Hills today, where we are installing some stackers at an upscale retail store and just wanted to say hello and introduce you to a few of my colleagues.
Hey, guys, my name is Mason. I'm with Tapco. We're out here at Beverly Hills installing some double stackers. It takes us about a week and a half to put these systems up. We got 13 of them going in.
All hydraulics in the back there. We got the mechanical all done so far. We're working on running the hydraulic lines up overhead. We got Four stackers over there, four stackers over there, two here, two here. And we're going to be putting in one over there.
Yeah. Hi, my name is Tyler. I'm with Tapco out of Washington. We're here in Beverly Hills installing a stacker system, and I've been in the industry for about a year in this industry and the construction industry, maybe about 20-30 years. Excited to be here and on this team.

Revolutionizing Urban Parking: Wohr's Innovative Puzzle Parking Solution
As urban landscapes become denser, finding efficient parking solutions is more crucial than ever. Enter Wohr's puzzle parking systems—smart, space-saving marvels designed to tackle the challenges of limited parking space. Here’s a closer look at how Wohr’s Combilift systems are transforming parking solutions.
What is a Puzzle Parking System?
A puzzle parking system, also known as a stacker parking system, optimizes space by stacking cars vertically and horizontally like pieces of a puzzle. This innovative approach is perfect for locations where space is at a premium, including urban centers, shopping malls, airports, and residential complexes.
Types of Puzzle Parking Systems
Automated Puzzle Parking Systems: These systems use advanced technology to automatically park and retrieve vehicles. Drivers simply park their car in a designated area, and the system does the rest, transporting the vehicle to its parking space and bringing it back when needed.
Mechanical Puzzle Parking Systems: Utilizing mechanical devices, these systems manually move cars into and out of parking spots. Drivers park their cars in a designated area, and the system’s mechanisms handle the rest, lifting and positioning the car into the parking space.
Semi-Automated Puzzle Parking Systems: Combining elements of both automated and mechanical systems, these systems offer a blend of convenience and manual control. The driver parks the car in a designated area, and the system uses a mix of automated and mechanical processes to park it.
Wohr’s Cutting-Edge Puzzle Parking Solutions
Combilift 542: Ideal for SUVs, the Combilift 542 offers two levels of independent parking with a headroom of 2.20 meters. It features easy operation, enhanced safety with theft-proof gates, and a user-friendly parking experience.
Combilift 543: Known for its compact design, the Combilift 543 maximizes space with three stacked levels. The entry point is always at the middle level, and users can select their parking level via a straightforward operating panel. This system is highly versatile, accommodating various car sizes and platform loadings.
Combilift 551: This smart parking solution offers two levels with independent parking. The Combilift 551 allows for flexible configurations, ranging from 2 to 10 grids. It employs a unique mechanism where platforms at the entrance level move aside to accommodate the required parking platform, ensuring efficient use of space.
Combilift 552: Combining the best features of the Combilift 551 and 543, the Combilift 552 offers a compact and advanced parking solution. It provides a variable arrangement of grids and rows, all controlled by a central device, enhancing both space efficiency and operational ease.
The Benefits of Wohr’s Puzzle Parking Systems
Increased Capacity: Puzzle parking systems can accommodate more vehicles in a smaller footprint, making them ideal for space-constrained environments.
Enhanced Safety: With vehicles stacked rather than driven by humans, the risk of accidents and collisions is minimized. Additional safety features include theft-proof mechanisms.
Reduced Emissions: By cutting down the time vehicles spend idling and driving in search of parking, puzzle systems help reduce overall emissions—a small but impactful environmental benefit.
Improved Convenience: Automated systems eliminate the need for drivers to search for parking, saving time and reducing stress.
Conclusion
Wohr’s puzzle parking systems represent a forward-thinking solution to urban parking challenges, offering increased capacity, enhanced safety, and improved convenience. Whether you’re looking to upgrade your parking facilities or implement a new system, Wohr’s innovative solutions provide a smart, efficient answer to modern parking needs. Learn More:

Haven't written in a while so thought I'd do a flash fiction prompt. Not the most exciting story but reminded me I still have the ability to put pen on paper :)
Prompt: Drama / An awards dinner / Press on fingernails (which I misread as literally pressing on your fingernails lol, so interpreted it as someone feeling tense which is how the following happened)
The Architect - 939 words
"Welcome all, to the Annual Architect's Guild Awards Dinner."
Freddie nearly missed his cue to applaud, too busy scanning the four edges of the room for exits. It was stupid how they hung curtains around the edge of a sports hall as if it suddenly transformed the sweat stained gym into a luxury art-deco theatre. And what did they hide? Basket ball hoops and emergency exits.
He took a deep breath and grabbed his glass of wine. President Hilda wasn't one for long speeches - it was what won her his vote - but each sentence seemed to be annoyingly long.
"This year, we have seen the culmination of many projects, from the construction of The Wakefield Library to the felling of Witsfield Park Nursing Home."
Freddie placed his hand down beside his plate and pushed his palm into the cool metal of his knife. Dinner was served after the first set of awards. For once, he wasn't complaining. He doubted his ability to even stomach a salad leaf at this point.
"But no project could hold a candle to Frederick Baye's masterpiece in modern design."
Freddie winced, scooping his hands into his lap and squeezing his fingers together, hard. Even though he knew the award was coming, it still stung the way she said his name, surname and all. Maybe on some level he thought he could stay anonymous. Or at the very least a legend. A ghost that blew through their town on a misty day and left only echoes in it's wake.
But Frederick Baye was written on every brick of that building. It was etched across the skyline. Sewn into the curtains. Frederick Baye's masterpiece. Soon to be awash in blood and bone.
"The new College of Arts is a feat to behold. Twenty-eight classrooms housed within a shell of polished green glass that reflects the surrounding forest of conifers in an evocative spectacle of man versus nature. It's stunning spiral staircases and leaf-like hubs will provide inspiring workspaces for staff and students alike. And let's not forget the wonderful space-saving car stacker which will provide staff with much needed parking!"
That's all they talked about at that first meeting. Parking. Cars. Long walks in the rain. Overheated seats in the sun. They cared more about the cars than the students. In fact, the only thing that ever trumped cars was money. The teaching staff wanted parking, the government body wanted a rubber band budget. They both got what they wanted. A car stacker system designed overseas with only small cars in mind. An engineer who could only prove their qualifications with a promise.
Freddie had tried to change the design. The evidence was there, slipped inside three beige folders full of pencil drawings and paper figures. In the end, they refused to budge. What could go wrong? A few cars get stuck. So, what? Staff have a phone and a number. The world wouldn't end if a few people left work ten minutes late.
"Frederick," Hilda was smiling down at him, all the way from the podium stage, eyes warm and skin gold. "You've been an exemplary figure in our Guild. I don't think, in my forty years experience in the industry, I've ever seen a case where every single shareholder I've spoken to is unequivocally pleased with the result."
She shook her head.
"You're a marvel."
Freddie dug his nail into the skin of his thumb.
"And I'm not just saying that because I'm his former mentor - though I won't shun the credit!"
Laughter. Freddie gritted his teeth, forcing his lips taut. They were all happy. Every single shareholder. Even after everything he had told them.
"And so, the award for outstanding design in a public space goes to... Frederick Baye!"
Freddie dragged his chair along the temporary carpet. He straightened his jacket, cleared his throat and strode between the tables. He passed members of the school board, government workers, professors. They all gave him nods of respect, a raise of champagne, a wink of encouragement. Dressed in their finery, beaming with pride. Freddie could hardly stomach the farce.
He took the steps up to the stage two at a time and swept quickly across the plywood. Hilda kissed his cheek, whispered a quick 'congratulations' and handed him the award - a polished glass plate. Glass.
"Would you like to say a few words?"
No, Freddie thought.
"Yes." Freddie said.
He stepped up to the podium and tapped on the microphone, not because he thought it might have been muted but because he'd seen people do it on the TV and it felt right.
"Thank you." He said. He looked down at the award. Traced the frosted white letters. 'Frederick Baye, The Chalmers College of Arts.' It wasn't made of your average table glass. Certainly not the delicate stuff blown by Victorian's in a furnace. It was firm. Sturdy. And Freddie suspected that if he dropped it, it would maybe even bounce.
"I tried." Freddie said. He thought about the glass. The finish. The width. The wind. The trees. Glass is always purpose built. You must always use the right process. Run the right checks. It's expensive to heat-soak. It's easier to just buy. It's better to just trust. "The shareholders wanted quick. They wanted cheap. And they wanted design. So that's what I gave them."
He lifted the award to the air, watched the gleam of light cross it's surface as the crowd clapped below. Is that how it would sound? When the illusion shattered and the walls fell down? A thousand glass panels clapping down onto a hard concrete floor. An applause for well-designed architecture?
