Poppy Playtime

With the release of chapter 3, I was tasked to make an updated mega piece featuring ALL the characters from chapters 1-3 of Poppy Playtime. I had an absolute blast creating this for the team.

The order in which each one of the Poppy Playtime's toys called Angel/Player dad or mom, either if it was an accident or intentional on their part:

Bunzo. Boy is rescued after the minigame and IMMEDIATELY goes "mom? 🥺" at Angel. They gently tell them that they are not their parent.

Huggy. He cant speak but he makes a sound similar to "mom" when Angel is facing off against Mommy Long Legs

Mini huggies, because if their big brother is doing that then they should also do it! Which once again prompts Bunzo to go "mom!" at Angel once again.

PJ Pug-a-Pillar follows suit, trying to make a sound similar to "dad" at Angel.

Dogday! It was by pure accident, though, and it happened when they were running around Playcare.

Kissy follows suit by intentionally using ASL to refer to Angel as "dad" when they were taking care of her.

Miss Delight refers to Angel first as "the parent" after Catnap's defeat and forced time out. She's hesitant to refer to them as her parent, though, but she wants to do that so badly.

The mini critters all go "MOM MOM MOM MOM" thanks to Huggy, Bunzo and the mini huggies.

Mommy Long Legs mockingly calls Angel "father". Two hours later she legitmately calls them dad, then pretends she didnt.

Catnap is the last one to do that, kinda by accident, kinda intentionally. He refers to Angel as "mother" because everyone else is doing that as they confront the Prototype, but much like Miss Delight he doesn't refer to them as his mother.

The Prototype refer to Angel as both "the Mother" and "the Father" to the other toys during and after the confrontation.

Poppy, ironically or not, is the last one to refer to Angel as a parent, and only after everyone is outside waiting for the authorities to come. She simply says "thank you for saving us... Dad" and falls asleep.

Most of the other toys start referring to Angel as either mom or dad. One of the mini critters however decides to use "boss" and now they sometimes jokingly use that.

Dogday intentionally refers to Angel as his parent some weeks after the rescue. Angel at this point just accepts they cant escape from the accidental parenthood.

Miss Delight also does that when Dogday starts doing so.

Mommy takes a while to be intentional. She normally uses "mom", "mother" and "big mom", and is almost always super reluctant in doing so.

Catnap is the last one, and he switches back and forth between "savior" and "mother". Never "father", though, that title is for another grumpy parent of his.

Player starts thinking of themself as a parent only a year or two later, once their guilt starts becoming smaller than their happiness.

biology headcanons since these toys are considered organic

While in game, blood is seen to be from Mommy's abdomen, it is also confirmed that her limbs do not contain blood, this may pretty much be canon. This however, doesn't mean that the elastic parts of any of the long-legs variants have nerves in them. She wouldn't have reacted if she didn't have nerves at all when she was stuck in the grinder.

Huggy, Kissy and maybe the mini huggies have retractable teeth and have teething issues. Bunzo also has problems with teething as well, but his teeth is more or less razor-sharp, able to pierce through flesh with ease, unlike Huggy's rows of teeth that help rip flesh apart more easily.

Most of the toys eat, (expect for like boogie bot who doesn't have a mouth), and can live without it, but has that overall desire to do so. They have stomachs but its unknown if they even have the ability to digest or even have intestines. Most of the time, when over gorging themselves, they can, somewhat, vomit.

Catbee's wings have been made with multiple materials to help them fly while they were still at playtime co. It has failed multiple times but they can hover now

Candy Cat has a tongue that stretches out a few feet. this tongue is highly sensitive and is used properly cover food and drag it to their mouth. The tongue however is far to long to keep inside for long periods of time; it's far to heavy for Candy Cat to even walk with it, which is why they are often seen laying down and never making the attempt of moving unless provoked or getting picked up.

Toys with fur shed like fucking crazy. It takes so long to keep PJ brushed; You cant win im sorry

Toy parts can be fixed, plastic and fabric, but it is still similar to humans breaking skin.

Poppy's made of some form of porcelain or china. She is very reckless despite this.

This is technically multiple characters but you could choose one out of these or whatever you prefer. Any opinions on Candy Cat, Daisy, CatBee, Bron, Daddy Long Legs, and Baby Long Legs?

Candy Cat has a super boring design for a toy designed in the late 70s and has a candy theme.

CatBee looks cute, but would make more sense to be a plushie rather than a plastic toy.

Daisy looks a bit boring even when taking in consideration that she's a scrapped toy. Should have made her a bit creepier.

Bron needs more dinosaur friends. I don't understand how there's only one dinosaur guy when it would make more sense if it was a dinosaur-themed line, with us only physically seeing Bron during the game and the others only having artwork of them.

Daddy and Baby Long Legs should have gotten at least a mention from Mommy Long Legs herself, but I cannot understand HOW these two sold well with children with designs like that. MLL feels like a toy that would have been advertised to little girls*, thus making Daddy Long Legs more of a Ken, aka you only buy him as an extra accessory to Barbie, and Baby has such a boring and weird design, I doubt any kid would have wanted him.

*Due to it being the 90s and Playtime by that point knowing VERY WELL that parents like to buy things "for their little boys" and "for their little girls" as opposed to what the children actually wanted. Unless PlayCo. was weirdly revolutionary in this regard they would have advertised MLL to girls, and if they were revolutionary like that then why didn't we get any mention of it in-game? It's a company, companies LOVE to appear cool and game-changing. And I doubt any child would want something like DLL or BLL...
