Okay but…rewatching Stanchurian Candidate I can’t help but wonder…

What would’ve happened if Stan had actually *become* mayor? Cause he was still going by Stanford, so would Ford have taken over? Or they just change it to Stanley on the paperwork (that he didn’t fill out but shhh)?

I mean logically, probably the latter but just…imagine…Stan and Ford just…swapping places. They always wear six fingered gloves so no one knows which one it is at any given time. Would it end horribly? Probably…but just…imagine…how funny it would be…some people think they *know* which one is which because of what they say. But Stan and Ford probably had practice mimicking each other (and know each other well enough to pretend to be the other, Stan especially since he’s been Stanford for 30 years) seeing as they tricked Bill so like…no one could even be 100% sure which one was which…unless they managed to pull off the gloves but good luck with that 😂
