it’s ya (girl) boi, ali, back at you again with a new character: david costello. under the cut, you’ll find out everything about this fresh of the slammer, grumpy old man!
i’m going to be writing a full bio later, but for now, here’s some good ol’ bullet points:
so, as a young boy, david was the only child of very absent parents
they meant well, as most parents do, but they worked constantly, all for the sake of david, but not having them around was very difficult
as well, not having his parents around allowed him to get mixed up with the wrong crowd from a very young age
growing up, he always found his way in sticking the wrong people, who influenced him into doing many illegal things as he reached adolescence.
when he was fifteen years old, he went to juvie for fifteen months, after being caught in a stolen car. he was given a lax sentence because it was his first offence, but it certainly wouldn’t be his last time getting mixed up with the law
juvie taught him all the wrong things: he was a petty criminal before he went in, but meeting much tougher kids gave him more ideas on how to cause trouble on the outside.
once released, he was far behind the other kids in his class, which made him incredibly unmotivated to do anything in class.
in his sophomore year of high school, his parents divorced, which, quite frankly, pissed him off, causing him to lash out and get into even more trouble, namely fights.
in his junior year of high school, he dropped out, much to his mom’s begrin. it caused many fights between them, causing him to move out.
for several months afterward, he bounced from couch to couch, picking up odd jobs to try and save up for an apartment with his best friend, Anthony.
finally, it happened, and he was able to move away, away from pickaway creek and everything that was happening here at the time.
after that, there was more of the same, some run-ins with the law, trying to make enough money to pay the bills, but it was life, and he was satisfied.
when his mother got remarried, it made him just as mad as when his parents split up. his mother, carolynn, did her best to try and reconnect with david, and tried to get him to become part of the family, but david didn’t want a new father, and certainly never asked for little ryan lindholm to be his step-brother.
he came around occasionally, but it never ended well, more often than not his violent temper getting the best of him. eventually, his mother stopped inviting him over, thinking it brought nothing but heartache, and david wasn’t going to argue
he was twenty three when his life finally went to shit.
when messing with the gun that anthony had bought off his drug dealer at the time, posing with pictures and doing their hardest to look like badasses, they didn’t realize the safety was not on. during their stupid little photoshoot, the gun went off, shooting anthony in the side.
shocked, david called 911, and desperately tried to save his friends life, but he had already lost a lot of blood by the time the emts arrived, and they were not able to save him.
after being arrested, and going through a lengthy trial, he was found guilty of manslaughter with a deadly weapon, though many people believed that he had killed him. he was sentenced for 25 years
david found prison to be surprisingly comfortable. the first year or two took some adjusting, but he found his grove was finally able to get comfortable.
he was able to stay out of trouble (at least after the first two years, where he got into many fights due to his temper) and be productive. after fifteen years, he was given the chance for parole.
able to pass his parole hearing, he was released. but, unfortunately, he was horribly unprepared for the real world. he was unable to find a job, and his asshole of a parole officier did nothing to help. it didn’t take long before he fell off the wagon again, and was sent back to prison to serve the rest of his sentence.
going back to prison, david changed a lot. he tried to learn more about the outside world, and did his best to pick up skills and references, at least as many as you could whilst being in prison, and most importantly, got into contact with ryan once more. serving the last ten years of his sentence, he kept his down more than ever.
finally, he has gotten out, and returned once more to pickaway creek. he’s having a difficult time adjusting to how everything has changed, and trying desperately to find a job while he lives with his step-brother.
personality wise, he is very experienced, in certain walks of life, but in many ways is still the stupid twenty year old who got himself into trouble. he has a horrible temper, which he does his best to control, but often fails. he can be very grumpy, and horribly pessimistic. as well, he doesn’t have many interpersonal skills, at least with people who aren’t criminals. but, despite all that, david tries very hard to be kind and polite, wanting nothing more than be a better person and finally, truly start with his life (even if he is pretty late with that)
okay that was a huge mess BUT if you wanna plot hmu! as far as wanted connections go:
i would love someone who david bullied when they were younger! he did grow up in pickaway creek, and was a HUGE asshole with a temper as a kid, so that would be a very interesting connection
first love! cheesy, yes, but david was pretty charming when he was kid, and fit that badboy type spot on
otherwise, i don’t really have any other ideas, but if you still wanna plot just send me an im on here or a message through the discord (im aliera in the discord for those who don’t know)

hi sweet bbs! it’s angie again comin’ atchya w/ a 2nd char. here are some basic facts about GRANT MARKIE. most importantly; he’s a real grumpins. so ... beware i guess. LOL. TW DEATH.
grant used to be such an excitable guy - he was really into school. all aspects! the academia & student counsel & extra curricular actives. there was never a moment when he wasn’t busy with somethin’: planning dances & sports stuff/volunteering his time/literally AnYTHINg he was able to do because ugh his parents were such GOOD humAN bEIngs he learned so good!!!
his parents, martha & vince, were amazing people. they were the kinda parents that were also everybody else's parents? if that makes sense? they hosted a lot of parties, were really happy n’ smiley lil’ angels, always had snacks. if anybody was having an issue, they’d offer up a room/food/as much money as they were able to, to help.
grant grew up in san francisco and he misses it all day everyday. he moved when his parents did - choosing pickaway because it was a smaller town - much cheaper. easy-ish to run a family owned business ( a flower shop ).
during their move ( grant was 25 & moving with them ‘cause they were all snuggly and close and he couldn’t even bear the thought of being that far away from his parentals ) grant decided to fly - driving across the country was not appealing, so he let his parents drive their belongings ( yikes ) and he promised to get the house ready for their arrival.
vince and martha were on the last leg of their drive - vince was tryin real hard 2 push thru and just!! make it happen!! he wanted to sleep in A Bed so badly!! but ended up falling asleep at the wheel. he ran the car off of the road - killing himself & martha.
grant blames himself, all day every day. he SHOULD HAVE driven with them. he SHOULD HAVE gotten them to fly. it’s all about what he should have done - so now that’s his big thing. whenever someone does something he’s :\ about, he makes sure they are reminded of what they should have done differently. ex; he thinks the pryors SHOULD HAVE kept a better eye on maya. he’s so fcking critical & has an opinion about EVeRYthINg!!! it’s shitty and annoying and the worst and i’m sorry lol.
he lives in the house his parent’s bought for themselves - their room is unoccupied & always will be. he’s so...tense if anyone mentions it. he owns the flower shop and makes SERIOUsly kick ass arrangements. like Award Winning he’s so good ugh so good. he’s a Grumpy Jerk™ but he knows his flowerz.
on any given night you can find grant mowing his lawn at 12am. if you ask him why he’ll grumble and rattle off some bs about how it’s ‘much cooler at night ok just mind your business’. he likes to visit the adoration chapel; he doesn’t go to pray, he goes to sit by himself ( occasionally he’ll thumb through the prayer books & count the words on the pages ). it’s the Ultimate Quiet Place for him. he leaves right away w/ a huff if anybody comes in tho like how dare u did u not get the memo that The Great Grant Markie was occupying the adoration chapel!??!?!?!?!?!?! lol.
he’s dated around - a few bfs a few gfs but they 10/10 always break up w/ him because he’s fucking miserable it’s great.
if he tries 2 hold a convo w/ u for any extended period of time it means he’s chill w/ ur presence but it doesn’t happen often.
he’s lonely n lovin’ it. he’s thinkin’ ‘bout getting some sort of animal but is too exhausted 2 even think abt committing 2 something for that long.
ok that’s all for now hmu if u would like 2 plot!

hello everyone! it’s cece, again, and i bring to the dash the ever so lovely jackson bachman. i apologize that this post took me a decade to post, but here i am finally from the dead, and i am ready to share my love to you all. feel free to message me through im or discord whenever for plotting.
the bachman surname was always one that sheltered a family of tradition. the rather large family had to work hard in the small town to not only prove their worth because of the color of their skin, but, as well as, their low income status. from that family, though, their prestige did not last long which disappointed the family to an extreme. one son ended up marrying a woman who belonged to a rival family (very romeo and juliet like and this is alyssa’s parents), and one daughter ended up falling off the tracks into the warmth of drugs and alcohol.
the daughter ended up dropping out of high school at the age of sixteen, and she had jackson the same year. she is unaware of who the father is, and, till this day, jackson wonders who his father could be. alyssa once joked that, “whoever he is, he must have had beautiful eyes.” since then, jackson likes to imagine that his father did.
TW DEATH his youth was troubled, for his mother was not reliable. the frail, young lady was always on a high, and her slurred words were taunting and daunting. jackson tried his best to help her out into better health as well with the bills, but, eventually, he got tired of having to drive her around and look around town for her limp body. too tired that some nights he would slip into alyssa’s bedroom and cry quietly as she knew very well what was wrong. this play, though, ended when he was sixteen, and his mother was found dead from an overdose in her last lover’s home.
jackson was quickly adopted by alyssa’s parents---his uncle and aunt. having been raised on the opposite side of town in a trailer, he was in a bit of shock to be in an environment more suited for a child. his aunt and uncle cared for him greatly like their own, and alyssa was his rock. at school, many confused the pair to be twins when in fact they were just cousins.
when alyssa went off to new york to study at an ivy league, jackson was left behind to study at a community college, for his grades were not exactly the best due to not having the interest; finding classes to be a bore, not because he wasn’t smart, because he was, indeed.
TW ALCOHOL AND DRUGS at the age of nineteen, jackson fell off the tracks just like his mother. he desperately wanted to call alyssa during the cold nights in which he would be lost in town near a bar, but he knew better. he could not call her and ruin her chance of success. he did not want to ruin her life like he was ruining his own. he drank like a sailor and experimented with drugs, and he was involved with a group of friends who only encouraged him to fall deeper. it was not until one night when he was walking on the side of the vacant road, tipsy as one could be, when a car pulled up beside him, and it was his uncle. his uncle took him back home, and he was quick to put jackson into a sober house. he wanted the best for his nephew. jackson is nothing but grateful of his uncle.
jackson stayed at the sober house for two years until he was sure enough to control himself around alcohol and drugs. when he got out at the age of twenty-one, he went back to school, studied hard, and he was able to study enough to go to a better graduate school in the state where he would be qualified to be a forensic scientist for the town of pickaway creek.
jackson lives in a one room apartment with his bulldog, Baxter, and he seems to be one of the friendliest, encouraging figure you’ll ever meet. he can be very optimistic, and he is completely against the sins of drugs and alcohol. jackson, though, does have a bit of anger problems that he has been sorting with anger management classes, so that is a bit on the rocks.
well, there you have it. i do adore him, and i hope you do too! some quick plotting ideas:
maybe when he was nineteen, off the tracks, he could have done drugs with your character, partied with them?? anything along those lines.
at the same time, he could have also had a child that he may not know about? that would be angsty!
he played a sport in high school, i still don’t know which sport, but we can sort that out if you are interested?
a friend he wants to help by getting them to stop drinking. he becomes a preacher when he tries to talk to them of the bad alcohol brings.
maybe a half-sibling because his mother did get around???

sup nerds angels i’m kit ( 19, gmt + 1, she / her ) and this is jess pryor --- some bullet points about her can be found under the cut, & if you would like to plot pls like this or im me !
( tw for pregnancy & loss of child. )
born in pickaway creek, jess was an only child raised by a single mother. they weren’t particularly well-off, and though she did well in school, college was entirely out of the question, and simply unaffordable. despite this, jess always harbored an ambition to become a teacher.
as a child jess was horrified and fascinated with the tales of the town’s gruesome past, reading anything about it she could get her hands on. though her fascination faded as age brought her more perspective, she retained a certain sense of morbid curiosity.
a bit of a ‘nerd’, she wasn’t necessarily shunned in high school, but she certainly wasn’t extremely popular either. mild-mannered and kind, jess had a few close friends, one of which became her boyfriend in her senior year of high school.
after six months together, nearing the end of the school year, jess found out she was pregnant. idk since her baby daddy is a wc i’ll leave this pretty much open to interpretation as to how maya was raised ( aside from the obvious ; in a loving & supporting home. )
after working part-time at the library during high school, jess got a permanent position as a librarian’s assistant and worked her way up to actual librarian. she doesn’t really have the education or economic means to leave pickaway creek, but the job at least allowed her to provide for her daughter.
maya turned ten in december of 2016. she was an excitable, curious fifth grader with a passion for adventuring that often threatened to give her parents heart attacks --- yet she always came home on time for dinner. when she didn’t return from school jess rushed to the sheriff’s department immediately, and after a few more hours and desperate searching, a conclusion was reached ; maya was missing.
it’s been two days since maya was officially reported missing, and honestly jess is spiraling like only could be expected. honestly she’s 100% terrified the entire time idek if she has a personality anymore it’s all just freaking out about where her daughter is and if she’s hurt and being weepy a lot because she’s afraid she’s dead. also not jazzed about being investigated for her daughter’s disappearance.
think joyce byers ( stranger things ) --- messy, scared, loving mom who just wants her kid back and will do anything to do that. the only difference is will came back. maya ... probably won’t.

TW CHILD DEATH
Alyssa Bachman could be found in the public library from early morning to late afternoon. With her legs crossed on the chair that was forgotten in the corner of nonfiction, her fingers would flip the edges of books telling the stories of history as well as a romantic for the classic literature and contemporary romance. Her time was dedicated to the texts, and due to her time spent at the library, she found herself involved with volunteering opportunities where she was given the chance to help other children with their assignments. Her mother often joked that she was her little Matilda—how strange it was to think that all she lacked was the mind power. She was only eight when she realized that no one wanted to hang out with her. Her father argued that it was because she was intimidating: “Alyssa, you are too good for them.” Although his words were nice to hear, it did not clog the hurt that inflicted her every inch. Sitting on the bench during recess, a book rested on her lap as children ran around with friends. The only person she had to talk to was Ms. Franco—the kind librarian. Her classmates began to whisper about the tapes, Candle Cove. Leaning over, curious to know the details, all she wanted to know was what they were. When children gathered to travel to the boat or to watch the tapes, Alyssa was tempted to join, for she wanted to relate with those her age. Yet, the little girl only caved for a solid fifteen minutes of the first episode before she left. It was silly. She had better things to do. Her mother also kept her away from the antics, for the nurse was nervous of what was unraveling in town with the disappearance of children. The deaths. Alyssa was kept safe at home with her academics. She will do well without the temptations of those her age. She ended up attending Cornell University. The chance to attend the ivy league was a given one with the generous scholarship she earned. With the opportunity, she went off to seek her inner belonging, for she was secluded for so long with no reach in her hometown. On campus, she was able to find people like herself, and Alyssa was able to final feel like an equal. The statement of New York being a place for all was not an extreme. It was in New York where her life truly began. Her bestseller novel was one written under a stage of depression. Wrapped under thin sheets for days, her limbs grew numb with her mouth dry. Alyssa would have slept through death if it weren’t for her novel. Every word was written with an ache, a nostalgic terror. Grief inspired every sentence. Every sentence was attacked with angst. The publisher was eager to read her work, and she only smiled to the success. Only her therapist knew the true emotions tied to the novel. Small in her hands, Nancy was the refined definition of life for Alyssa. Her daughter was her pride and joy, and she was gentle with each breath. Cautious. But, her lips only kissed smooth skin once before she was taken away. Doctors tried to explain what went wrong, but the single mother only heard the sirens of her heartbreak—tears cascading. She only kissed her once. Coming back to her hometown was not a decision she understood. As she stepped out of the taxi to walk up the front porch of her parents’ home, she could only look at the pine tree with questions. Why did the leaves whistle a song to her ears? Nonetheless, Alyssa was back, and she is unsure as to why.
#bio.#mine.#ccove.intro#hello everyone!#i'm excited to be here and i am so down to plot#so feel free to message me#for any plotting :)#tw child death
