I made some rings!

They look good, but like every time I try to make rings, they're a pain to make

It's so hard to put them in the right shape, I always burn my fingers. Some of them are still loose and don't get me staring on getting the length right

tharja!inigo but now he’s laslow and yall know this guy, at his core hes a pacifist, he hates death, he loathes violence, he only does all of this because he has to and these are the cards he was dealth, but if he could pack it up and leave it all behind, you know what, he might just do it! but he’s also the most patient person when it comes to dealing with peri, who should be his moral opposite on every level. but he hugs her, he jokes with her, he comforts her, he supports her, he makes her smile, he reins her in but knows exactly when and how to do it without coming off as overbearing. he accompanies her to store, to her therapy gang (my fav canon fact about them btw?), he cooks with her and tells her all of her dishes are absolutely divine. maybe she doesnt deserve any of this, not after all that she’s done and all she continues to do. but whenever he looks at her and her pastel pink hair tips, and whenever she talks about how she grew up, he can’t help but remember the innocent, darling baby sister he left behind at home. his baby sister who he couldnt save from his mom or the evils of the world, who had to learn how to protect herself because he couldnt. his baby sister who acts more and more like their mom everyday out of fear and abandonment, who he left behind at “home.” he couldn’t save her, but maybe this is the universe’s sick way of letting him try again.

the waistcoat I mentioned in my last sewing projects post! since this has a lot more moving parts and involved some more complex work than the shirts, this was something of a practice exercise, so I did it with a kinda cheap print from a quilting fabrics store. since I had a lot of fun with this I plan to make more in blue and red/gold fabrics that I have, which will hopefully, unlike the print, not leave little white marks everywhere a needle pokes through.

big note for next time is to try and pay more attention to the pocket welts (the little strips that cover the opening), since the pattern doesn't quite match up on either of them & the attachment is a bit shoddy.

...but a very exciting note for next time, or the time after, whenever I use the red/gold fabric, is that I will be using these:

these brass buttons were dated to the late 1830s by the antiques store I bought them at (a cursory Google suggests that button enthusiasts concur.) there are seven in total, which is a couple more than I need for the front closure, so I might see about making that one double-breasted and keep the seventh around for a spare or memento or what have you. hang it off my watch chain maybe.

also, it's a bit too dark to get a good image of it right now, but soon I'll have a picture to share of my "new" sewing machine! I mostly plan to use it for seams and other concealable structural elements--hand finishing is too much fun & provides too neat of a finish for me to give it up.
