I went down this massive rabbit hole and I'll spare you all the details of the descent but essentially, Mipha and my OC Link Power are the Doormat Squad of the blorbos I typically write (and if you're a personality dweeb like me, they're similar personality types too) and I think that would make them besties, and I just had this thought of them both just finally having a mental breakdown putting their feet down and supporting each other while their lovers are watching with varying reactions (Link/Age would be proud but also very uncomfortable because he too keeps a low profile, while Hemisi would be laughing her butt off while also realizing she'll eventually have to step in).

Here we have Link, Hero of the Woods!

Story-wise, some of his inspiration comes from The Willow Maid by Erutan, while visuals-wise, his outfit was taken from one I liked to make my little character wear sometimes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Heck, it's part of the reason I made him in the first place, was so there would be someone who could wear the outfit LOL

Once, there were two forest spirits, brother and sister, named Link and Zelda, who dwelled in the Lost Woods. At a young age, or what was considered young for them at least, they were each cursed in their own different ways. For Zelda, the sister, her soul was tied to an ancient willow tree, and she was never able to leave the Lost Woods, let alone her tree; as for her brother, Link, he was able to leave the Lost Woods just fine (although how long he could stay in areas away from nature was another story all together), but in turn he could never stop hiding his face from anyone who didn't know his name, but he could never reveal his name to anyone outright until they guessed it, and if his mask wasn't absolutely ready, he would be compelled to cover it in any other way (he's lucky this hasn't killed him yet).

Link and Zelda were as close as close could be; since Zelda could not leave the Lost Woods, Link would bring her trinkets from other places in Hyrule. In turn, Zelda created a sword and an ocarina for him, and she named them after their fairy friend, Kokiri, who had been their only other solid companion in their lives. It would surprise many to find that Link was a trickster spirit, while Zelda was considered to be a guardian spirit, and yet they still got along so well.

During Link's adventure, his reputation, both as a trickster forest spirit and as a hero, had caught the attention of one Prince Ganondorf of the Gerudo. Subsequently, Ganondorf wanted Link dead. "He's a trickster spirit," Ganondorf had sneered, "not some hero to be praised." So when he finally met Link, he tried to fight him, naturally. However, Ganondorf soon realized that while yes, Link was a trickster spirit, he really was a hero, as well. The two of them would eventually make up, and even became friends, with Ganondorf joining Link on his adventures.

However, it wasn't long until tragedy struck. Link and Ganondorf would head into the Lost Woods, only to discover that something horrible had happened, specifically to Zelda and her tree; Link and Ganondorf had discovered that Zelda's tree was nothing but a stump, revealing that something or someone had chopped it down, and Zelda was nowhere to be found. Kokiri the fairy forlornly told them that, while Link had been gone, a mortal man had found Zelda, and he'd become so enamoured by her that he wouldn't leave her alone. She told him multiple times that, even if she wanted to go with him, she couldn't leave her tree, let alone the Lost Woods. Because of this, the mortal man used an axe and chopped Zelda's willow tree down before forcibly dragging her out of the Lost Woods. Link and Ganondorf would then find what remained of Zelda - a graceful flower with five white and blue petals that glowed in the night. At this discovery of his dear sister's fate, Link was understandably distraught. In his anger and grief, he transformed into a bestial form, going on a rampage, for lack of a better term. Fortunately, Ganondorf was able to confront him in the end, getting him to calm down and comforting him afterward.

Soon after this, Link returned to the stump, although it was painful, to pay his respects to her one last time. However, in the center of the stump, he noticed a young sprout - a Deku sprout, to be exact. As the tree was tied to Zelda's soul, this technically made the sprout Link's nephew, and he took it upon himself to be the best uncle he could be to this sprout. Of course, the Lost Woods was no place for a tree to grow healthily in, so he journeyed with Ganondorf to a forest nearby, one that would later be named after Kokiri the fairy. He planted the Deku Sprout and cared for him day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, until he was a fully grown Deku Tree.

Soon after this, Link noticed some Hylian children who had wandered into the Lost Woods. After learning that they simply wanted to stay closer to nature due to the growing cities, he decided that these "Forest Younglings," who would later be referred to as the Kokiri, would stay in little treehouses in the Kokiri Forest. The Great Deku Tree became their protector, and Link settled down and effectively adopted them, though the children were never able to guess his name, all of them electing to call him "Mr. Fox" because of his mask, instead.

Although Woods is generally mischievous and playful, especially with his tendency towards pranks and crypticness, he has a soft and tender side for those he cares for. Some might call him strange, loud, and chaotic, and they'd be justified in these descriptions. However, despite it all, he does his best in what he does, and he's very good with kids, especially the Forest Younglings. He's a bit on the stressed side, what with being effectively a single father to multiple children, as well as caring for his tree nephew, not to mention he's still mourning Zelda, but he still puts a smile on his face and laughs (loudly and weirdly, might I add) as often as he can.

Petition to please start viewing being a picky eater as something more akin to a disability than some kind of moral failing

Like come on do you really think people are just choosing to be picky eaters for no reason? That they want to be picky eaters? I'm a picky eater and I hate it. Trust me if I could flip a switch and suddenly have my taste buds like everything I don't currently I would in a heartbeat.

So many people will say "oh you just have to force yourself to eat something it's not that bad" like No You Don't Get It I genuinely would rather not eat than force myself to eat something I don't want to. I have chosen and will activately choose to eat nothing over eating something I don't like. I would rather feel sick from not eating than spend an entire meal resisting the urge to throw up.

I'm a pretty easy going person. I have brothers who tease me to no end and it doesn't bother me. I get made fun of for being short All The Time and I genuinely dont care, because I dont mind being short. But the one thing I can't stand is people making fun of me for being a picky eater. Or even just mentioning that I'm a picky eater. Like Yes I'm Aware. It Sucks. No Need To Rub It In. Please Stop.

Please please please be kinder to picky eaters. It's not something we can control, and we shouldn't have to be ridiculed for it.

Anyways sorry for the mini rant this is just one of the few things I can't stand and I'm so sick of it.
