Each of the members is gripping a makeshift pointer in their hands; Juul a chopstick, Charlie a very notably chewed pencil ( he didn’t forget to passionately mention Shrimp chewed on it, not him! ) and Harin a toy lightsaber she stole from one of the kids. Juul and Charlie glance at each other, while Harin mindlessly points at Juul.

“Jasmine, for sure. She’d eat it off the sidewalk.” At this, Juul jerks her head at the youngest, whining: “Nooooooooo … The answer’s Charlie obviously. “

Charlie, of course, saw this coming from a mile away and is, as always, ready to throw everyone and himself under the bus.

Harin with an adorable little smile points the lightsaber at herself. The others have different opinions as they both point at Charlie. He looks at Juul’s answer, satisfied, but looking at Harin makes his face contort into a grimace. There’s something not quite right … 

“Harin, babe, I think you’re more of an animal person. I’m more of a pet person.” To which Harin raises an eyebrow, somewhat exhausted by Charlie’s thinking. Before she can react though, he is quick to give an explanation.

“ Animals are like wild and free and self-succificent while pets are so dependent on their owners. So I think you are an animal and I’m a pet.”

Juul chirps, “That wasn’t the question, Char.”

Charlie defensively: “I know, Jas. I haven’t finished my explanation. Okay, so do you agree Harin?” Her shoulders fall up and down, a variant of a yes.

“So I had pets, city animals, all my life. Had like eight or ten hamsters, three bunnies and had this weird mouse thing, what do you call it —— “ Charlie searches for help in his band mate’s faces. 

“ Rat? “ Asks Juul.

“ Chinchilla? “ Tries Harin.

Charlie shakes his head, discontented. They try again.

Harin points a finger at Charlie, a triumphant expression on her face, “GUINEA PIG!”

Juul and Charlie look at her with a “guinea pig looks nothing like a mouse, you dumbass” expression. Charlie waves his hand dismissively.

Saeyt Doraz (aka Tank) Twilek Republic Trooper:  Tank is the epitome of Chaotic Good. It’s really amazing she hasn’t been kicked out of the Republic Army because if someone tells her to do something morally objectionable but as an order she’s like “I’m sorry but are you aware that that’s wrong? Anyway I’m hanging up my comms now goodbye”. Tank likes to think of people as mostly good, but also isn’t naive enough to let people who might be dangerous in a position where they could hurt others. She’s more risky with herself though.

Messilandre Melina Mirialan Jedi Knight: Messilandre definitely starts the game closer to Lawful Neutral but eventually levels up to Neutral Good. But beginning game: Messilandre likes things to be clear and reasonable. She doesn’t like surprises, unclear expectations, or unclear instances of which side people are on. She’s unforgiving with her enemies in most cases, which is what takes her off the “good” tier at first -- she is not opposed to killing say, a Sith Lord who is trying to surrender, because in Messilandre’s mind... well, they’re gonna escape or kill more people anyway. This earns some well deserved “What the fucks” From her party members.

Harin So, Voss Jedi Consular: Even though Harin So can come off as kind of cold or unempathetic, Harin So stays in the “good” section for zir tenure in the game. Zie does get people killed, but it’s more of due to not being omniscient/attempting to call Terrakh Morrage’s bluff when he’s not bluffing, rather than any malice or calculated decision to let people die. Harin So has low sympathy for people zie believes got themselves into that mess -- like the Black Sun smugglers who were dying after trying to smuggle noetikons -- but zie still helps.

Taimen Kor, Sith Smugger: Tai definitely starts off his adulthood in the neutral (in between good and evil) asshole side, but by time the game starts he’s decidedly chaotic good. As a smuggler, Tai doesn’t have a ton of respect for the laws -- and why would he, after growing up and seeing how they were used in Imperial Rule? Tai thinks people should just try to help each other even if it cuts into profit margins, which winds up making him a kind of shitty smuggler.

Lycaea Archeliou, Togruta(ish) Sith Warrior: Lycaea’s probably chaotic neutral, maybe chaotic good later on enough. Lycaea will generally pick the helping, or at least not hurting, people options in game, but it isn’t until Jaesa starts her lightside Sith crusade and Vette starts a stealth campaign against some empire slave camps* that lycaea is involved in actively trying to make things better when they don’t just come across her path. For the most part, Lycaea needs to see things and people to care about them.

Xahaiyarishin, Kaleesh Bounty Hunter: True Neutral. Xareesh has a moral code she follows and she’s generally consistent with it. She doesn’t go out of her way to hurt people and she has hard codes against fighting people who can’t defend themselves, but if you’re like... a soldier she believes is a worthy combatant? You are definitely at risk of being killed by Xareesh for money. Like Harin So, Xareesh is fairly unsympathetic towards people she thinks made shitty decisions with the intent of profiting from them, the only difference is Xareesh doesn’t help them she’s just... “you made your bed now lie in it.” example yalt or whatever who betrays Nemro for money. She’s like “What did you *think* would happen? *shoots*”

Aereinys Trin, Chiss Imperial Agent: At the start of her plot, Aereinys is the true imperial ideal for an imperial agent, meaning Lawful Evil. People who are the empire’s enemies, even if all they’re doing is you know, not wanting to be subjugated by the empire? Sorry, but murder (or however she’s been told to deal with them). People who might blow her cover? She analyzes the options for the least subtle, most efficient way of resolving it, but murder is definitely on the table. Someone she was told to kill? Murder again it’s amazing how versatile a tool that is! She does not question the Empire until it hurts her personally, which is very human but also... Yikes ™. then she skews towards a LOT more chaotic, her faith is completely shaken, she wants to kill every Sith and Imperial Agent involved in her brainwashing but is terrified to do so. Outwardly she follows orders, inwardly she plots revenge.

Nehari Racin, Cathar Sith Inquisitor: Nehari was initially concpetualized as a chaotic evil character because when I created her character I was like “wait do I have a darkside one yet? *rolls up stereotypical dark side char*” After her character got more honed... well she’s definitely still evil, but she isn’t as stereotypically chaotic evil. Nehari (like any good Sith) believes that power justifies itself and the only point of having power is to get more of it. She actually may be going through some character growth, though. I think she realizes exactly how phony the sith rhetoric (and rhetoric she didn’t realize she was agreeing with earlier) is when she becomes a sith, because so many sith are only strong in comparison to people weaker than them. her actions change here and she becomes a lot less of a bully, which is probably the first time anyone’s ever had THAT happen on korriban.

Lee Wonjae sempre foi fã de música, desde muito pequeno. Então, não foi surpresa quando decidiu seguir carreira musical, mesmo que no fundo, seus pais esperavam que ele mudasse de ideia e cursasse algo como Direito ou Engenharia, por exemplo. Como era muito tímido, sua melhor forma de se expressar era através da música, e sempre foi muito estudioso, aprendendo vários instrumentos, até chegar no que mais se identificou, que foi a bateria.

Assim que terminou a faculdade, porém, o seu futuro era meio incerto. Wonjae não sabia muito bem qual seria o próximo passo agora que estava finalmente formado, além de procurar um emprego na área. Foi aí que lhe surgiu uma oportunidade: um de seus professores da faculdade havia indicado Wonjae para um programa especial nos Estados Unidos. Era um curso de produção musical, com uma bolsa generosa que garantia a estadia do baterista nas terras do Tio Sam por pouco mais de um ano. Seus irmãos não concordavam com a decisão do velho, mas sem a presença da mãe era praticamente impossível o fazer mudar de ideia, optando por ajudar a irmã na missão de encontrar um novo lar e arcar com as despesas iniciais ainda que Harin se mostrasse resistente em aceitar o dinheiro de ambos. Teimosa, arrumava motivos mirabolantes para dispensar todos os apartamentos que visitavam por considerá-los caros e quase chegou a se mudar para um hostel até os dois darem um basta na situação, forçando a mulher a ficar com o apartamento em Acrópolis, onde tinham conhecidos que poderiam "ficar de olho" em Harin e a dedurar caso aprontasse algo.

A chegada em Acrópolis é recente. Não tendo lá tantos pertences, foi uma mudança rápida, finalizada em dois dias. Morar sozinha ainda é um desafio, pois está acostumada a cuidar de três marmanjos, lhe causando estranheza não ter um milhão de coisas para fazer e bagunça alheia para arrumar, o silêncio sendo ensurdecedor sempre que chega e se dá conta que não vai encontrar o irmão mais velho jogado no sofá, o caçula enfiado no quarto com algum lançamento de jogo e o pai cuidando do jardim que a mãe plantou ainda em vida, pouco antes de perder a batalha contra um câncer. Nem mesmo um animal de estimação para demonstrar estar aguardando sua volta. Apenas o silêncio e um apartamento que precisa de alguns toques para ficar sua cara. Ou nem isso, pois a Lee ainda nutre esperanças de se reconciliar com a família e retornar para a casa onde cresceu e sentia-se bem, para perto das pessoas que mais ama.

I’ll answer these for a lot of chars b/c I’m fun like that

Tank: Tank works well with Jorgan, but she works well with lots of people tbh. I did a bounty hunter AU version of Tank and she worked well with Theron. I imagine she might also work well with Lycaea (my LS sith warrior).

Anyway, long story short is Tank works with lots of people

Xareesh I think would get along really well with Akaavi. It’s a shame she can’t meet her because she’s a bounty hunter

though honeslty if i had more time, i’d roll up a smuggler xareesh just to see how it works, since Akaavi is amazing and yet somehow unromanced by my current smuggler?

have their light side/dark side actions changed over time? (i.e., a sith warrior who starts out light but ends up dark, etc.)

Lycaea started out the opposite of the example (she started more morally ambiguous/cruel (depending on what time of life) and ends up a decent person). granted you can’t see some of hear earlier shittyness because a large part happened before the game started. A lot of it was fear based and she isn’t scared for a large part of vanilla game (exception being when Draagh dropped a cavern on her).

Nehari starts of a bit pointlessly cruel. Some of her party members take the edge off, though she is never winning any good person awards. Ashara was the main influence because Nehari could see that Ashara was strong but also not a dick. Like a “hey maybe you don’t have to be shitty to people to be strong.”

granted, she still is shitty because Nehari is in my basket of (probably) irredemable characters, but her internal attitude changes some.  None of this is super relevant to the original question I realize but oh well I already typed it out.

Messilandre starts out kind of well intentioned but a bit judgemental and harsh with her enemies, and extremely insecure but still wants to help people. so light side ish. Then after she gets brain whammied by the emperor she gets more cold and vengeful. she doesn’t hurt innocent people but i would still categorize her as dark side-ish. later on she gets more confident with herself, less insecure, less leaning on violence (though she is still capable of throwing down).

And Aereinys goes from lawful evil (well on the neutral side of evil, but she still has no qualms with obeying skeevy orders she gets) to chaotic evil to chaotic neutral. Oddly enough, despite her shift from (what I read) as evil to more neutral, I think her DS LS points stay similar, since lots of times the vengeful against people who hurt you choices are dark side, and there are options to still do stuff that is morally inexcusable for the empire that are light side.

and harin-so gets considerably more LS in actions after the end of chapter one, with zir huge fuckup that results in (spoilerspoielrs). zie wants to avoid jumping into anotehr fight that might have consequences zie couldn’t have predicte

i was thinking of which languages my characters speak, because logically they shouldn’t be able to speak them all

the least multi lingual character is lycaea because she was raised in sith society where i can’t imagine learning other people’s languages is a high priority

the most is either tank (she hopped around a lot of planets as a kid) or messilandre (jedi training + jedi language intuition where they seem to pick up on it quick)

Tai. Tai was also raised in the Sith Society but he had a good 8 years out before the game started, and the smugglers who rescued him would’ve gotten him speaking something other than basic and sith to conduct business. He speaks Sith, Basic, Huttese, and Shyriiwook. Since shyriiwook isn’t as common as the other 3 languages i probably have ot make up a reason he learned it before he met bowdaar, but that is for another day

short version (4): Sith, Basic, Huttese, Shyriiwook

Harin-So:Zie speaks voss, basic, dosh and huttese. the huttese zie learned because it’s fairly common language, and dosh because yuon suggested it since she was preparing for harin-so to become friends with qyzen (in harin-so’s continuity, yuon was zir master for zir entire training, not just the end) I realize zie also had to have learned some jawese for zir plot but hmmm maybe someone translated?

Messilandre: Messilandre speaks binary, basic, jawese, huttese, gand, talzi, mirialan (which her mom made her learn, since her current continuity has her in contact with her mom

Tank: Tank grew up speaking Basic, huttese, and twi’leki pretty much equally. she also learned gand and dosh while growing up and binary and shyriiwook in her spec forces training (the last part of which is p much cannon if you tell Jakarro you can understand him in SOR). so that’s a lot of languages, obviously she’s only varying levels of fluent in each of them.

short version (7): Basic, huttese, twi’leki, gand, dosh, binary, shyriiwook

lycaea is the least multilingual - she speaks just sith and basic at the start of the game (and a bit of togruti she remembers from kidhood) though she learns enough talzi to communicate with broonmark and eventually gets fluent in it. this means that for a bit of the game, vette and quinn would have had to double duty as translators + fighters. if vette counts translation as domestic (which she doesn’t do), it’d be just up to quinn :P

xareesh. xareesh speaks basic, huttese, kaleesh, jawese

aereinys: oops aereinys is probably one of the most multilingual too, because spy. she speaks basic, huttese, binary, durese, and shyriiwook. she also learned cheuhn, and keeps up her listening to it by mostly smuggled out chiss films (I don’t think the chiss share their media a lot?) because she doesn’t have practically anyone to practice with. she has a knack for languages and if she knows she’s going to a planet, she will pretty intensively study the most or one of the most common languages there. it can’t get her fluent but can at least get her to understand more, and she views understanding as her job. ex: pre going to tattoine, it was jawese, pre hoth it was talzi.She’s very good at disguising her accents, in any language she speaks, unless the words require a physiology she doesn’t have to pronounce them (ie: shyriiwook or jawese)

plus other stuff after intensive yet temporary study

Nehari - nehari grew up speaking huttese and basic (on nar shaddaa). nikto and durese conversationally (ha can you tell i’m just looking around through sectors on nar shaddaa?). She probably had to learn at least enough Sith to understand Khem at the academy, but I view her as also having leaned on the force for some translation there (though khem is really resistant to the force so that would be hard. hmmmm.... its just so hard to imagine nehari sitting down at space duolingo tho)

short version (4.5): Huttese, basic, durese, nikto, (sort of) sith

also i imagine pretty much everyone (except maybe my laziest chars) would brush up on (insert local language) before going to that planet, just not everyone does it as intensely as aereinys

2. What is your favorite class and why? And/or list the player classes in order of most -> least favorite 

favorite - trooper. Partially because its the first one I ever played (i’ll cop to nostalgia factor there :P) partly because of the companions Aric and Elara who I read as SUPER autistic, and partly becuase it has 1 of my two favorite OCs to play on (Tank is just like… genuinely a good person and nice to people, but not gullible either so she makes decisions I think make sense)

Also I’m best on commando assault specialist combat, and its fun to play combat you are actually good at (sad memories of when I tried to PVP with Aereinys)

Okay, favorite to least favorite is going to be hard because I technically like all the class stories, so least favorite doesn’t mean “not good”

7. Which player voice actor is your favorite and your least favorite? 

Oh jeez I’m so torn between fave as female trooper (she has SUCH a good voice and can sound like she’s going to mess someone up) or male bh (which I like for Xareesh, play her on a male toon because I liked the voice so much and kaleesh don’t have tits anyway and there’s no boobless female option). Like I will confess growly voices are really neat for me. There are so many chars I like the voice of that talk growly like (including black beetle, who IIRC had NO redeeming qualities except his voice was awesome)
