Guptakashi:- The name Gupt Kashi means “Hidden Benares. Mythology describes how when the Pandava brothers were searching for a glimpse of Shiva, Shivji first concealed himself at Guptkashi, but later fled from them further up the valley to Kedarnath, where the Pandavas finally got their wish fulfilled. There are more tangible connections as well-the Kedarnath pandas (priests) live in Guptkashi during the winter months, and after the Kedarnath temple closes for the winter, the image of Kedarnath passes through Gupt Kashi on its way to Ukhimath (across the valley), where it stays for the winter.

By Trek: Morning our driver will drop you at Sonprayag then you have to take local jeep for Gaurikund & then your trek strat for Kedarnath Ji. After darshan, you follow the same & back to Sonprayag. There is a big parking issue so the driver will back to another palace if his contact no. is not working then you have to arrange another taxi or wait for your driver.

Kedarnath: The Kedarnath shrine, one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is a scenic spot situated, against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva. According to legend, the Pandavas after having won over the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra war felt guilty of having killed their own brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. He eluded them repeatedly and while fleeing took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull. On being followed he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface. The remaining portions of Lord Shiva appeared at four other places and are worshipped there as his manifestations. The arms appeared at Tungnath, the face at Rudranath, the belly at Madh Maheshwar, and his locks (hair) with the head at Kalpeshwar. Kedarnath and the four above-mentioned shrines are treated as Panch Kedar.

Kedarnath Weather – Due to its high altitude the weather in Kedarnath remains cold for the most part of the year. Summer here is cool and pleasant while winter is severe. Brahama kapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Picturs). There is another interesting sightseeing spot like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maata Moorti, Charan Paduka, Bhimkund, and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River. Just within the three km of Badrinath Jee. Badrinath one of the ‘Ancient Four Dhams’ is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop. This revered spot was once carpeted with wild berries. Thus the place got the name “Badri van”, meaning “forest of berries”.

Tapt Kund: Natural thermal springs on the bank of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bathe before entering the Badrinath temple.

Mana Village: Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet.

Vasundhara : As the name suggests, Vasundhara is a magnificent waterfall. This place is 5 km. from Badrinath out of which 2 km. is motorable up to Mana.

Bhim Pul : On the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge, lies over the roaring Saraswati river. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers.

Badrinath Weather: The average maximum temperature will be around 18° Celsius and the average minimum is 8° Celsius. Joshimath is situated on the slopes above the confluence of the rivers Alaknanda and Dhauliganga. Of the four ‘Maths’ established by Adi Shankaracharya, Joshimath is the winter seat of Badrinath. The idol is brought down to Joshimath and installed in the temple for people to worship. There are many other temples in the township. The most important is the temple of Nir Singh with the idol of Lord Vishnu. The left arm of this deity is getting destroyed with time and the popular belief holds that the day the arm completely withers Badrinath valley will cease to exist and the Gods will transfer the residence into the neighboring Niti Valley at Bhavishya Badri.

Yatra starts with arrival at Dehradun hotel. Here devotees will get hotel accommodation for relaxation and refreshment for the day. Can visit nearby places if have proper time.

Day 2: Trip to Yamunotri:

As you have chardham helicopter booking so, trip will start early in the morning after breakfast to kharsali helipad. Kharsali is near by of Yamunotri and a distance of around 6 km which can be covered using pony or palki. Day 3: Trip To Gangotri:

Day 3:

Day 5:

Day - 2 ( Day 02: Yamunotri Dham Sahastradhara to Yamunotri )

05:00 Hrs. Check out from Dehradun hotel 06:00 Hrs. ETD from Sahastradhara Helidrome 06:30 Hrs. ETA at Kharsali Heli-Base • This is starting day of the Chardham yatra. Passengers will check-out early morning from the hotel at 05:00 am. They will be picked-up from the Hotel by our staff, & taken to Sahastradhara Helidrome. • Heli has its own Heli-base in Kharsali, where our ground staff would welcome the passengers. The staff will then get the passengers settled in the hotel, which is at a walking distance from the helipad. • After breakfast, passengers will be taken for Yamunotri Darshan. • Approximate time taken for Yamunotri Temple Darshan: Approximately 05hrs 30mins (round-trip). Yamunotri trek is 06 km one-way. • Sightseeing at Kharsali: Hot Spring at Yamunotri Temple, Yamuna Mata Temple, Shani Temple.

 

Day - 3 ( Day 03: Gangotri Dham Yamunotri to Gangotri )

06:30 Hrs. ETD from Kharsali Heli-Base 07:00 Hrs. ETA at Harsil/Jhalla Helipad • Passengers will check-out by 05:30 hrs. Departure from Kharsali will be at 0630 hrs, & the estimated time of arrival at Harsil/Jhalla will be 0700 hrs. • Jhalla –Heli’s second own Heli-base in the Chardham sector. After landing at Jhalla, passengers will be taken to Harsil village & checked-in the hotel. • Harsil – The second destination of our tour, also known for the extensive apple orchards there, is the most scenic and beautiful destination of this tour. • Passengers will be taken for Gangotri Dham darshan after breakfast. • Approximate Time taken for Gangotri Temple Darshan: 3hrs 30 mins (round-trip). The road distance to Gangotri temple is approx. 25 km, which is roughly a 50-minute drive. • Sightseeing at Harsil: Harsil has many places & natures walks around to explore. Passengers will be taken to explore any of the following: Bagodi Village walk / Short trek to Chholmi village / Nature walk from Jhalla / Shiv Temple in Harsil.

 

Day - 4 ( Day 04: Kedarnath Dham Gangotri to Sersi )

07:00 Hrs. ETD from Harsil/Jhalla Helipad 07:30 Hrs. ETA at Sersi Heli-Base • Passengers will be checked-out by 06:00 hrs. Arrival at Sersi will be by 0730 hrs. • Sersi –Heli’s third, and the oldest, own Heli-base in the Chardham sector. We operate the shuttle services for Kedarnath ji shrine from here. • Passengers will be ferried to Kedarnath Dham for darshan in a shuttle services flight, after their breakfast. • Approximate time taken for Kedarnath Temple Darshan: 02 hours. The shuttle services flight Sersi to Kedarnath is approx. 07 minutes long. • Sightseeing at Sersi: Triyuginarayan Temple – It is the venue of the celestial marriage of Lord Shiva & Goddess Parvati, or Gaurikund.

 

Day - 5 ( Day 05: Badrinath Dham Sersi to Badrinath )

08:00 Hrs. ETD from Sersi Heli-Base 08:30 Hrs. ETA at Badrinath Helipad • Passengers will have breakfast by 07:00 hrs. at Sersi & be ready for their flight to Badrinath by 0800 hrs. • Passengers will be taken for darshan to Badrinath temple in the afternoon after lunch. • Approximate time taken for Badrinath Temple Darshan: Approx. 01-1.5 Hrs. is taken to have darshan at the Badrinath Temple. Passengers will be taken from hotel to the temple by car. • Sightseeing at Badrinath: Mana Village – Known as the ‘Last village of India’, due to its proximity to the China border. Evening Aarti at Badrinath Temple – Swaran/Chandi Aarti (on additional payment basis directly at Badrinath).

 

Day - 6 ( Day 06: Dehradun Badrinath to Sahastradhara )

08:30 Hrs. ETD from Badrinath Helipad 09:30 Hrs. ETA at Sahastradhara Helidrome • Passengers who have pre-booked Maha Abhishek Puja, have to be ready early morning by 0330 hrs. Puja shall take place from 04:30 hrs. to 06:30 hrs. • Badrinath ji hotel check-out time is 0730 hrs. • Estimated time of arrival will be 0930 hrs. at Sahastradhara. On arrival, our team will be present to receive the passengers. Later, they will be taken to Dehradun hotel to collect the luggage from cloak rooms, and then be dropped to airport/railway station. • In case passengers would like to spend an additional night at Dehradun, accommodation can be arranged by Abd holiday at an additional cost. The same must be informed to us at the time of booking. • After the final transfer, we will bid farewell to the passengers. This is the end of the Chardham yatra.
