Ghost Roaster Headcanons

Okay, since that last post/backstory got a lot of people interested, time to post some headcanons on the Roastmeister instead of answering a bunch of asks.

Yes, there’s a Read More. This got long. Again.

*Original name: Olav Ingle Ahlstrom. (for now, this is a work in progress, but something vaguely Scandinavian)

*Original species: Frost Elf

*Age before death: Early 30's, a rising star in the culinary arts.

*Sexuality: Grey ace demisexual. If you asked him directly, he'll shrug and be like "I'm mainly into food". Will joke that he's a little fruity because food humor.

*Before he turned, he was a famous celebrity chef in direct competition to Chef Pepper Jack and the two of them were rivals. Olav saw the rivalry all in good fun and regularly teased Chef Pepper Jack; Pepper Jack hated his ass and thought his methods were the work of a drooling imbecile.

*Olav's style of chef was a Guy Fieri type who regularly traveled the weirdest parts of Skylands and was sampling all sorts of funny dishes. He was an affable and funny weirdo who could make something edible out of ANYTHING and his books were a hit. His sheep wool pizza was actually amazing, even if it was hard to get exactly right.

*Olav and Chef Pepper Jack's rivalry was so strong and public that it's been often rumored that Chef Pepperjack KILLED Olav to explain Olav's sudden disappearance. To make matters worse, Chef Pepperjack has lied a couple times and flat out said "Yeah I killed that loser, he couldn't handle the heat!" just for the lolz.

*He knows that his name is Olav. Ghost Roaster tries to lie and say that he's not sure if he's the famous Olav because Olav is actually a somewhat common name for frost elves, but he has a horrible feeling deep in his stomach that he is that famous guy with all the young budding chefs that looked up to him and has been directly avoiding connecting himself to Olav because he feels guilty and ashamed. So any attempts at returning to the culinary arts is under his Ghost Roaster alias.

*Ghost Roaster doesn't remember all of his previous life or what happened after he transformed. He just remembers pain. And hunger. And ripping things to shreds. But the memories are starting to come back.

*Master Eon met Ghost Roaster because he was told to come down to the Land of the Undead and destroy a ravenous chained up ghoul that was being held in captivity. Instead, Eon took pity on him and made him a Skylander.

*Olav and Ghost Roaster are actually pretty similar in personality, just that Ghost Roaster is more likely to slip into dark humor and joke about eating people. This is another reason why he's avoiding reclaiming the Olav name; he doesn't want to find out about any family or friends that will just see him as a gross monster.

*He's rapidly rising in the ranks in the Undead culinary art world and now has a new rival in Batterson. Thankfully the two of them are way friendlier to each other.

*Ghost Roaster is one of those prickly types where once you push back all the thorns and befriend him, he'll move the very rocks and earth to help you. And send you memes at 3 am with a "this you?".

*Master Eon purposefully avoids sending Ghost Roaster on a mission that involves Chef Pepper Jack because while an encounter with him might regain all of Ghost Roaster's lost memories, it might also cause him to have a Bloodborne-esque rampage as he tries to END Chef Pepper Jack.

*No one except for Master Eon and Hugo have connected the dots between Olav that famous chef that disappeared and Ghost Roaster and he's very reluctant with sharing that information because he feels like if word got out, his old self's reputation would be damaged forever.

*Best Skylander friends: Ignitor, Fiesta, Funny Bone, Grim Creeper, Hex (ironically), Wrecking Ball, Fright Rider, Stealth Elf, Slobber Tooth (who samples his food)

*He's the ultimate in "I tell jokes to mask the pain" silly guys.

Best Friends, NPC edition: Eon, Batterson, Flynn, and Mags.

*Worst Skylander match ups: CAMO, Food Fight (is a tasty food), Shroomboom (same), Sonic Boom (regularly makes tasty foods he can't have), Jet Vac (same), Krypt King (won't let him crack him open and eat the tasty ghost inside like a lobster tail)

Skylanders Trap Team Skystones Tierlist update

All the 4/2 guys got moved up a good bit. The fact that they trade AT LEAST evenly with every single other Skystone (excluding on-play effects) and can deal high face damage makes them too good to ignore. Luminous is now on the same level as all the 2/4 and 3/3 stones, as even with just 1 less Attack, he loses out a lot of key trades and his ability is incredibly situational. (This also led to the deletion of B- tier) Finally, Chef Pepperjack rose above the Golden Queen, as his ability to destroy multiple stones has way more potential than her Life Gain.

Introducing...Speziato! 🔥

🌶 His name is italian for Spicy.

🌶 Speziato (unlike any other Peppino Clones that are frog-like) is Salamander like (It's an Amphibious Lizard), hence his short size and tail.

🌶 His tongue is Pepperjack Cheese

🌶 Speziato has a special ability of his where he can generate heat whenever something or someone is in his short range. (The heating powers are based on Mythical Salamanders) But his heat can be based on how close he is (If he is touching something, that object in question would be very hot, but to any living being, it is actually a nice heat), that's why his chef hat has a pepper stem on it.

🌶 Speziato has traits similar to regular amphibious salamanders (Like Body Shedding), you can possibly see his dead slimy skin at some parts, but do not touch or eat it or lick it, it is very hot like hot sauce!

🌶 He latches onto people for affection (Don't mind his heating body, it heats up when he gets happy and/or excited)

Pepperjack, companion of Lilihack

Pepperjack was abandoned as a diamond-pup, taken by the magic school for entrance exams. Lilihack's objective was to tame the pup with magic, and passed with flying colors (mainly due to Pixie's first Fairy Bomb).

After that, Pepper accompanied Lilihack for years to come, also going with her to Ponyville. Due to being a diamond dog and not a dragon, he needs to find other ways for non-contact communication between the new and middle six.

That's were his knack and knowledge of herbs comes in. Knowing which plants' abilities involve teleporting objects it is no challenge for Pepperjack.

Some time after Cloudburst's and Lilihack's reign started, Pepperjack became Canterlot's royal chef, achieving his dreams of culinary arts.

Chef Pepper Jack

He’s used to loud noises as head chef in a very busy kitchen, so if anything his hearing is a little… compromised

However that doesn’t stop him from comforting you when loud noises happen, especially if you’re afraid, he’s better at giving than anything so he’ll try to make you a comforting dish

There’s very few quiet areas of where he works, one of them being his office (if he even has one), so he lets you stay there since it’s the safest

For how he feels, it’s a bit of pity but then again his hearing is totally shot, but he understands your fear

Luminous

He’s used to his general environment being quiet, even during his days being a menace to society, he keeps everything very quiet

Either way he understands your fear of loud noises, he doesn’t like them either so your best place of refuge is his living chambers

Does most of what he can to help you, to put it short, since he’s kinda busy with either being trapped in a large tower or being a (and again) menace to society

He understands you, and is in the same boat

(29) Raph is an amazing cook. No one can tell me otherwise.

(30) I refuse to accept that Mikey is the chef of the family.

I feel like because Mikey can seem so food-focused, it makes the most sense that he’s the best cook amongst the four, but—listen. Unique palate aside, Mikey’s cooking leaves much to be desired. He only knows how to make rubbery scrambled eggs (with the shells still in ‘em) and burns the toast every single time. That’s not even going into his colorful approach at pizza toppings.

Don’t let that turtle near your kitchen. Tears will be had.

Raph, on the other hand? He’s not gonna clean after himself, but you want a good, hardy meal? Raph’s your guy. It won’t be gourmet, but it’s a good meal, rich with proteins and a lot of greens. Cooking is a lot like knitting for Raph—there’s something satisfying about seeing it all come together because he forced himself to have the patience to create something.

Added bonus: his family likes his cooking too. Casey and April once pooled some cash together to buy him a smoker to keep at the farmhouse and Raph’s just been expanding his expertise every since. Ask him to smoke you some pepperjack and Gruyère cheese for mac n cheese later, it’s to die for.

Wellness Wednesday:

Looking to Finish Strong

I, for the most part, completed my main objectives and goals for the year - but by some strange test of fate I could slip up.

So...

For the next 4ish weeks (26 Days - 4 more posts) my plan is to be easy going, but mindful of diet and exercise routine. With widely surpassing my objectives I could tank/skip my workouts or diet and still come out on top of my goals, but I would like to end on the highest note possible - I would like my last weight to be the lowest I've ever weighed AND I would like to be able to say 100% confidence that I went a whole year without a chip, slice of pizza, or an ice cream cone - let alone a single order of take out.

As well - I would be excited to see my final stats on my exercises. To my current knowledge I think I have only missed 3 or 4 workouts - that's 3 or 4 days out of the last 340 days. I'd like to keep that stat below 5 for the remainder of the year if I could... again... for gloating purposes (don't worry... I have no friends so this sentiment probably won't leave the sanctuary of this post - gloating averted).

Closing Thoughts:

The Good:

I decided to simply my workout - and I am still seeing the same/positive results with the simpler workout. That extra stuff I did in November was unnecessary.

The Bad:

It's that time of year where the air is dry and my sinuses and unobstructed breathing is collateral damage.

The Ugly:

My sleep schedule has been trash since my Thanksgiving Break/Vacation. Feel like a walking zombie. There times where I have passed out in the middle of the day.

if the other doom raiders became senseis here's what i think their classes would be and their weapon choices

gulper: sentinel, double-ended trident

pepperjack: swashbuckler, 2 meat cleavers

dreamcatcher: ninja, those bow-spiders she uses to feast on dreams

luminous: bazooker, repurposed beam puzzle crystals

nightshade: quickshot, twin luger-like pistols

mesmerelda: knight, rose sword [held at the flowerhead as the briar makes the blade]

Okay now these matchups are new and unique to me, and I like some of these. Though there are some things I'd do differently.

Gulper I think would fit better as a Smasher, because while he is known for a Trident and a dual ended trident is the starter weapon for sentinels... I don't think the class Fits Gulper. Not to doubt his abilities too much, but Sentinels are known for agility and quick reflexes, but something about that feels off for Gulper, who spends most of his time eating and drinking soda. He's literally pretty sluggish (even with his slime slide, which while fast, makes him like a battering ram when combined with his weight).

I like to think Gulper would be a Smasher, using his trident to Spear a heavy piece of food to attack enemies with. Maybe in a similar fashion to fellow food lander Pain-yatta different food has different effects, be they detrimental to enemies or beneficial to Gulper himself.

Chef Pepper jack with dual cleavers is based. Really cool.

I usually class Luminous as a sorcerer, and I've seen others class him as a Knight. But a Bazooker is a new take and that's pretty interesting. I'll keep thinking on it.

Nightshade as a Quick shot is also really cool. Usually I make him a Knight, using Taekwon Crow's discarded dark katana as his weapon.

Mesmeralda and Dreamcatcher are ones I'm usually the most indecisive on. But these matchups are really cool! I keep thinking I need to incorporate Puppet strings in whatever Mesmeralda's weapon is, and I try using all four arms. And I also like to think whatever class I decide on for Dreamcatcher... She gets to shape shift for a really creative design flair, with her giant head being one of her attacks or even her sky chi.

It's really fun to brainstorm this sort of thing though. Nice ideas!
