Whats New in the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado
The Chevy Silverado 1500 has long been regarded as one of the best in its class. The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado is a solid upgrade that keeps the best of last year’s equipment while making a number of interesting improvements. If you are in the market for a reliable and powerful truck, it’s hard to look past the Chevrolet Silverado. In this blog post, we will take a closer look at the new Silverado, including its highlights and lowlights, and give our verdict on where it stands in the competitive truck market. Local Car Shopper is your premier choice when it comes to honest opinions about all the latest models in the market. Let’s get started. 2023 Chevrolet Silverado Overview The new Chevy Silverado 1500 is available in a range of trims starting with the base-level Work Truck and Custom. The LT model is a step up and boasts a more impressive interior (and may be the best option for most people). Other trims include the Trail Boss, RST, LTZ, and High Country. There is also a range of engines available, which means that there is a Silverado for any size of job. This includes a turbocharged four-cylinder, two V-8s, and a Duramax diesel 3.0-liter inline-six. The top-of-the-line High Country model can go from zero to 60 mph in just 5.4 seconds, so it’s absolutely no slouch. What’s New for 2023? As we have highlighted, most of the equipment in the Silverado stays the same as last year’s model. That said, there are increases in both the power and torque of its Duramax diesel powertrain.  The updated turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six Duramax, which is available for the Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, and High Country, gains 35 pound-feet of torque and 28 horsepower for an improved output of 495 pound-feet of torque and 305 horsepower. New fuel injectors and pistons with a revised combustion bowl also help to give this year’s diesel more muscle than before. Highlights and Lowlights What we love most about this year’s Chevrolet Silverado is the excellent powertrains, as well as the substantial towing capacity, which give this truck a feeling of power and performance. What’s more, the huge infotainment screen and well-designed interior always make for an enjoyable journey. Compared to some other trucks, such as the Ram 1500, the Silverado doesn’t have the smoothest ride. Still, the Silverado is a tough truck that is well capable of tackling any terrain. Our Verdict on the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado The strongest attribute in the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado lineup is, in our opinion, the engine lineup. You’ll appreciate the crisp acceleration and powerful performance, as well as the spacious bed options and the six-function tailgate. On the whole, it’s easy to recommend the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado. If you are interested in reading more reviews and news on the auto industry, Local Car Shopper has got you covered. Be sure to check out our other informative articles on a wide range of related topics. https://ifttt.com/images/no_image_card.png https://localcarshopper.com/whats-new-in-the-2023-chevrolet-silverado/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=whats-new-in-the-2023-chevrolet-silverado

These provide a contrasting color scheme to the vehicle which highlights the very macho details of the truck. The grille up front is blacked out, the 18-inch alloy wheels are also painted black, as well as the fenders and the tail-gate. Just at a glance, you can already see what we’re talking about. The 2020 Chevrolet Colorado Trail Boss, as the name implies, looks significantly more robust than the base model Colorado. Chevrolet Colorado Trail Boss 2020: The Exterior The variant itself is designed for the more adventurous side hidden within us while also being wrapped in additional comfort and protected by the same suite of dependable safety features that the Colorado model line offers. Chevrolet Colorado Trail Boss 2020: So what is it?ĭerived from a recently released trim on the American release 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado Trail Boss is somewhat a way given to us by Chevrolet to enjoy a genuine the “American Truck heritage” experience. Recently, however, at the 2019 Cebu International Auto Show, Chevrolet Philippines added another special variant for their already brilliant pick-up truck…the 2020 Colorado Trail Boss. The Conquest for the Toyota Hilux, and the High Country for the Chevrolet Colorado. The 2020 Chevrolet Colorado Trail Boss is inspired directly by the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss. There’s the recently released Black Edition and the N-Warrior for the Nissan Navara. There are the Raptor and the Wildtrack for the Ford Ranger which of course are the most brusquely powerful of the bunch. Aside from those, their special edition trims are of course better looking and much more features and capabilities than their base variants. This, of course, is also plain to see from the numerous variants and trim levels most major car manufacturer has released for their pick-up trucks with each catering to a niche or to a consumer’s needs. And if you'd like to explore the Trail Boss trim levels for yourself, we invite you to visit our Gulfport Chevy dealership for a test drive. As is evident from the Philippine car market today, Pick-up trucks are high in demand. If you'd like more information about the Chevy Silverado's trim levels, options, and financing offers, please reach out to Turan-Foley Chevrolet Buick at your convenience. Test-drive a new Chevy Silverado near Ocean Springs, Bay St. Additional comfort and convenience amenities include: It features the same off-road-ready equipment as the Custom Trail Boss and includes the more powerful 5.3L V8 powerplant as standard equipment. Available 5.3L V8 (355 horsepower, 383 pound-feet of torque) or 6.2L V8 (420 hp, 460 lb-ft)Īs you may have figured out, the LT Trail Boss builds off the generously equipped LT trim level.Standard 4.3L V6 (285 horsepower, 305 pound-feet of torque).

Notable features for the Custom trim level include remote engine start, an EZ Lift power lock and release tailgate, black recovery hooks, and a seven-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. Silverado Custom Trail BossĪs its name suggests, the Custom Trail Boss builds on the Custom trim level with features that enhance Silverado's prowess off the beaten path. But what's the difference between these two off-road trims? Here's a quick overview. This "Like a Rock" pickup loves to play as hard as it works, with two specialty trim levels to take its terrain tackling tenacity to the next level: Custom Trail Boss and LT Trail Boss. Joe river or hauling equipment for your small business, you can count on Silverado to get the job done without flinching.īut towing and hauling aren't the only activities at which the Chevy Silverado excels. Highly regarded for its robust performance, advanced tech, and dependable capability, the Chevy Silverado is a mainstay of the truck world and one of the automotive industry's most iconic nameplates.

Not only are pickups beautiful, but they’re also powerful, which enables you to live that rugged lifestyle you’ve always dreamed of. And what better way to do it than with a Chevrolet truck by your side? One of their bestsellers is the Silverado, which is a full-sized truck. Read on to see 5 things you didn’t know about the Chevrolet Silverado! 1. It Was First Introduced in 1999 The Silverado first debuted in 1999, although its history runs a bit longer than that. This line of trucks replaced the Chevrolet C/K model; in fact, “Silverado” was the top trim there! Considering it’s been around for over 2 decades now, it’s safe to assume that it’s a crowd favorite. 2. There Are 4 Generations Since 1999, there have been 4 generations of the Chevy Silverado. The first-generation Silverado was produced from 1999 to 2006, which was a decent run. The next generations ran from: 2007 to 2013 (2nd generation) 2014 to 2018 (3rd generation) 2017 to now (4th generation) The latest model is the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado, which has drastic improvements when compared to the previous models. Most notably, this truck has an upgraded interior that makes all drivers happy. 3. There Are 8 Trims If you’re someone who’s picky, then you won’t have to worry about a thing. This amazing truck comes in 8 trims: WT, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT, Trail Boss, LTZ, and High Country. No matter which trim you choose, you’ll get a state-of-the-art touchscreen infotainment system. This includes Bluetooth, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. Some special features you can get on certain trims include OnStar with 4G LTE in-vehicle wifi, keyless access, remote starter system, push-button start, and driver-assist technologies. 4. There Are Special Edition Silverados Do you like getting exclusive things in life? Then you’ll want to consider the special edition Silverados! There’s the Rally Edition, which you can get on the Custom and RST trims. This offers black Rally stripes across the vehicle, as well as black assist steps and tailgate lettering. There’s also the Midnight Edition, which gives you black assist steps too, as well as bucket seats and special headlamp bezels. Lastly, there’s the Realtree Edition. You’ll get Realtree camouflage graphics and 20-inch black wheels. 5. There Will Be an Electric Version in 2023 As we become more and more eco-conscious, consumers want vehicles that’ll reduce their carbon footprints. If you’re one of them but still want to drive a large truck, then you’ll be pleased to know that there will be a Silverado EV released in mid-2023! The Silverado EV will be fully electric and uses the GMC Hummer EV’s battery electric platform. Get Yourself a Chevrolet Silverado If all these fun facts about the Chevrolet Silverado have piqued your interest, then you might’ve realized that it’s the car for you. In that case, why not get yourself one of the best full-sized pickups around? The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado certainly won’t disappoint, so it’ll be a fantastic investment.
