They put an end to the paper thin waist thing pretty swiftly. I am all here for that. Yin Zheng is helping to help Li Wei alter her dress to make room for more food. It's the clothing's fault. Exactly.

SPOILERS: This is probably my favorite episode so far. Our FM finally acquiesces to become ML's wife at the end of 11. We all got a collective shiver up our spine as we anticipated the change of events that predictably happened. How close is Jinchuan anyway? Yin Zhang expressed his displeasure quite openly and wore a suitably pissed off expression during the ceremony. This made Grandma and Grandpa super mad and mommy beside herself; I see she has some empathy, but she has the I want him to toughen up as I did kind of look on her face. I did not anticipate the marriage taking place that soon though. Without preamble we get another fantastically likeable woman in the form of the new wife, ehem, for now. Jinchuan's Princess Yuan Ying is not here to suffer fools or tomfoolery or any fun it seems. I feel Li Wei will have a good influence on her now that she knows that their marriage is just a sham. I think it will be very funny to see how Yuan Ying tries to train our cutie pie Concubine for now Li Wei. Somehow that pest of girl Song Wu has become almost adorable in her fierce defense of Li Wei. Who would have thought we could almost like her? I wonder if Yuan Ying will end up falling for our ML? Doubtful. It's nice to have some questions and not feel you know how the plot will turn out although I am still new to this period type drama. Maybe you know something I don't? Feel free to share.

I now see It. New Life Begins exudes oodles of charm. It is quite sumptuous in a very light, airy, fluffy, anachronistic way. I have to say I'm all about the monogamous relationships. Now that I think about it, the multiple wives thing has always been one of the big reasons I avoided most Asian period dramas for so long. You really have to have the right mindset to deal with a palace drama. I admit I can see why the Douban score and viewership is so high. Tian Xi Wei is so cute!

I find it extremely beautiful how Duan Jia Xu starts falling for Sang Zhi after being taken care by her in Hospital after his surgery and in restaurant when she protects him as her impulse takes over and she doesn't take a second to splash the water back on women who splashed him. It's like he suddenly sees she's grown up, she's someone who's is now capable of protecting herself & him. Some one who finally stands up for him, someone who won't see him getting bullied and ask him to tolerate it because that's what he deserves and that he isn't the victim of the accident that happened when he too has suffered loss from that accident. In his whole 25 years life of loneliness finally someone stands up for him and I get why at that moment he falls for her, his gaze shifts from seeing her as a mei mei to a women. His gaze being shifted after the restaurant scene being highlighted both in drama and in book, it's like you can see the transition of how his gaze shifts and he starts to SEE HER, LIKE REALLY SEES HER, like how she has grown into this amazing women.

I just finished "Nothing But You" and I feel empty...

I couldn't bring myself to bid farewell to the characters...they felt so close and real that it breaks my heart to not see more of their wholesome lives and interactions 💔

Kudos to all the cast for their incredible acting in bringing life to those characters!. I must say the chemistry between the two leads is just incredible!, and their healthy relationship is goal for real...

I highly admire and look up to the FL's character, it's so rare to find a character like her in current shows. I found her mindset so relatable to mine, and even was enlightened by her way of thinking. Zhou Yu Tong did an incredible job on portraying the character!. She never fails with her natural acting.

And the ML...ugh don't get me started!. The greenest flag I've ever seen in drama land!!. His character is SO SO precious that makes you want to tuck him inside your pockets and keep him safe!. My first time watching a show for Leo Wu, but this character felt like it was made just for him!. He did a great job!!

All the support cast did a fabulous job, which made the whole show an awesome piece of work without a single moment of boredom.

Now am contemplating how I'll move forward from a wholesome masterpiece like this 💔

CW: Unchained Love does feature some scenes of physical abuse and implied intimate violence featuring side characters with oppositional power dynamics. Please watch with care. I will give a full review after I complete the series. This commentary is from knowledge up to episode 18.

Unchained Love is very, very cute. I don't understand the inflated ratings. Given the production, it should be a solid 5 rating on Douban, maybe 5.5. The Long Ballad is only 6 and that rose recently due in part to a hot search. Just because you like the actor doesn't mean you are doing any favors by inflating their dramas/films.

The acting required is not too complicated. Xiao Duo, Wang Hedi's role, is a bit more layered than Bu Yinlou. You want to see more of him. I'm pleasantly surprised with Yukee Chen (btw, her voice is really deep - I wish she wasn't dubbed ALL the time). She is 30, but looks so young. The chemistry is really good; I think it had a solid build. I don't know why people want to see it from the beginning all the time. That is just not realistic people especially for a solid relationship that isn't just lust. Overall, a good drama.

I'll be honest. I like Bu Yinlou and this actress far more than Shao Shang. I think she needs to work on some things, but honestly much improved. I really enjoyed her time-travel with Hugh YiTian last year. The Unchained Love crew for some reason unknown to everyone has basically cut most intimate scenes from the drama. It doesn't look like censorship, but maybe that's it. So weird. This is one drama where the lady is pretty forward and there really should be more hugs and kisses.

DiDi, you are improving sooooo much, but try not to mimic other people too often. I feel like WHD watches WuLei too often as I see expressions and even a series of movements straight out of my favorite actor on him and it is somewhat unnerving lol He and WL really look like siblings though. WHD has a great glare that is all his own. I would definitely enjoy seeing the two play brothers. I love Monkey Faces - I was looking at my husband and I think that is also his face type lol

Unchained Love is really FUN! I would like to see more eunuch's who aren't really eunuch's stories. It is very common in web novels and great for comedy.

My rating so far as of Episode 15 is a solid 5/10. It is very GOOD; WHD is elevating the role a bit for me and to some extent YC, but it is so straight-forward and tropey that I cannot give it a higher score. Great time pass! I hope it ends HAPPILY though! Honestly, it would be awkward to make this a tragedy as it is overall so very light, frothy, and comedic; however, when it goes dark, it doesn't play. I hope that it keeps the balance it has throughout. What do you think?

this episode didn't get subbed yet but from what I've understood

the male lead got shot while escaping from the enemy and was sent to medical camp of sorts ,, his bestfriend sit by his side taking care of him while being unconscious the whole time ,, his injury is severe and the doctor said in so many words that his life is in danger ,, then his best friend heard him mattering something mentioning the one who died to save his life but he didn't wake up yet ,, his best friend cried and covered his friend tightly
