Yes I know, that Kirby game didn’t run on the DS.
Anyways, I used my actual DS as reference and I’m v proud of how this turned out. That Kirby screen took literal hours to make.

my texture packs and mods
so since i was asked what resource packs and mods I use for building, i decided to make a list of sort. the minecraft version i use is 1.12 mostly, sometimes 1.14. you will need the appropriate mc forge mod loader for 1.12 mods.
resource/texture packs i use; cocricot, mizuno’s 16 craft and conquest reforged. Optifine is essential for these to work properly. cocricot and conquest reforged have partner mods that add decorations and custom blocks, so I recommend you use the corresponding mods with the texture packs, you can find the mods in the same pages as the texture packs. these two with the mods will only work in 1.12, but i think only the texture packs can work in 1.14. i also like to use mizuno’s and conquest at the same time.  when in 1.14, i only use mizuno’s 16 craft with the CIT pack. other CIT packs i use are dreamland, minty’s, ghoulcraft, and itembound.
now the mods.
before downloading any of these mods, read the mod description if there are any dependencies on other mods!!! also im going to list mods that are relevant to building and that the world looks nice, so no gameplay changes here.
Decorations and new blocks;
- Better Slabs - Bibliocraft - Chinjufu mod - McCrayfish Furniture mod - Decocraft - Fairylights - Flat Colored Blocks - Floricraft (this adds custom trees that are ugly, sorry)
Biome & nature mods;
- Vanilla Vistas (to use with cocricot) - Biomes o’ Plenty & Wild Nature (dont use with cocricot, custom leaves look weird.) - Better Foliage (do not use with cocricot, theyre not compatible.)
also just for funsies, the shader’s I use are sildur’s vibrant shaders, kuda shaders and wisdom shaders. have a nice day everyone, and happy building!

FPS improvements!, AKA how I got Minecraft to go from playing at 3fps to 60fps!:
Change most graphics options to "Fast", overall graphics can be left on "Fancy"
Smooth lighting: Off
3D Anaglyph: Off
GUI Scale: Auto
Particles: Minimal (will turn off breeding hearts and Enderman particles tho 😔)
Render distance: 8-10 or below.
Max framerate: Unlimited
Clouds: off
Reduce Mipmaps! I have mine set at 0 due to all the mods I use, but if you have few/none slowly reduce mipmaps by one until you get what works best. This doesn't improve FPS but you'll move faster and will feel way less laggy.
Vsync: Off
VBOs: On
Entity shadows: Off
Download Better FPS! (requires Forge)
Beefy Mods I'm running: Biomes o Plenty, Chinjufu Furniture, Nether ex, Familiar Fauna, Twilight Forest w Mizunos
My game originally played at 1-3fps 😵 it now runs steadily at about 50/60fps! On my laptop with like no RAM or a decent graphics card, with 11 mods running on Forge!
Here's a screenshot of my settings and F3 if it helps:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have seen it go as high as 70fps. It averages 40-60fps and runs smoothly!
I will say, I have no idea how shaders will effect these settings as I am currently not using any :x but i hope this helps those struggling with lag!

Abe Clan
the Abe were descended from a son of Emperor Kōgen. They also clam descent from a legendary figure named Abi. Abi is said to have opposed Emperor Jimmu, the first legendary emperor of Japan, in his plans to conquer the Yamato plain.
The Abe clan were one of the oldest of the major Japanese clans; and the clan retained its prominence during the Sengoku period and the Edo period. The clan's origin is said to be one of the original clans of the Yamato people; they truly gained prominence during the Heian period (794-1185), and experienced a resurgence in the 18th century. Abe is also a very common Japanese surname in modern times, though not everyone with this name necessarily is descended from this clan.
*Prominent People*
*Abe no Hirafu* ( 575-664) was a governor of Koshi Province and a subordinate general of Buyeo Pung. In 660, defeated theMishihase in "Watarishima" at the request of the native inhabitants. In 661, he led an expedition to the Korean peninsula to help the allied kingdom of Baekje in the Battle of Baekgang.
*Abe no Yoritoki* (????- 1057) Yoritoki and the Abes came into conflict with the Minamoto clan as it began to expand north into Abe territory. The Abe clan began to raid territories south of their border. In 1051 Yoritoki led an army of Emishi into northern Miyagi and defeated a government army at Onikiribe that had been sent to stop the raids. This event triggered the Former Nine Years' War (Zenkunen War).Minamoto no Yoriyoshi was then deputized as the new Chinjufu Shogun and sent to chastise Yoritoki in 1053. In 1056 Yoritoki's eldest son, Sadato, began skirmishing with the Minamotos. War erupted in 1057 and Yoritoki was killed in battle by a stray arrow.Yoritoki's sons continued fighting for a time but were finally overwhelmed by combined Minamoto and Kiyowara armies in 1062
*Abe no Sadato* (1019–1062) Sadato was the son of Abe no Yoritoki, the chinjufu shogun (general in charge of overseeing the Ainu and the defense of the north). In the Zenkunen War, Sadato fought alongside his father against the Minamoto.Minamoto no Yoriyoshi and his son Yoshiie came to the Abe's northern province of Mutsuto restore power over the province to the Governor; Abe no Yoritoki, Sadato's father, had been acting beyond his station. As a result, the two clans fought for roughly nine years, with some truces, over the course of a total of twelve years from 1051 to 1063.Sadato's father was killed in 1057, and so he became head of the clan and head of the military effort against the Minamoto. He fought them in the battle of Kawasaki, in a snowstorm, defeated them and pursued them through the blizzard for a short time.Other battles followed, during which Sadato's attacks, along with the harsh weather and terrain weakened his enemies. However, in 1062, the Minamoto received reinforcements, and Sadato faced them for the last time. He came under siege in a fortress on the Kuriyagawa, and after several days of fighting, his water supply diverted, his defenses attacked, and his fortress set a flame, Sadato surrendered. The Minamoto returned to Kyoto the following year, carrying his head."He was said to be more than six feet tall, the circumference of his waist seven feet and four inches. He had an extraordinary face, his skin was white, and he was fat.
*Abe Masakatsu* (1541 –1600) Abe Masakatsu
served Tokugawa Ieyasu from a young age, first accompanying him to Sunpu as a hostage. In 1590, Ieyasu gave him Ichihara in Izu Province, and Hatogaya, in Musashi Province, which brought Masakatsu's income to 5,000koku. Masakatsu also received the honorary surname of Toyotomi from Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1594. Masakatsu died at Osaka in 1600
*Abe Masatsugu* ( 1569 –1647) He distinguished himself as a general during the 1614 Siege of Osaka, taking the most enemy heads of any of Ieyasu's generals. He was awarded with the rank of daimyō in 1617, and was given the 30,000 koku Ōtaki Domain inKazusa Province. In 1619, following the disgrace of the Ōkubo clan, he was reassigned to Odawara Domain (50,000 koku) in Sagami Province. In 1623, he was reassigned, this time to Iwatsuki Domain(55,000 koku) in Mutsu Province, where his descendants remained for the next several generations.
In 1626, he was appointed Osaka jōdai, a position which he held for the next 22 years until his death, and which raised his revuenues to 86,000 koku. In 1637, he played an active role in the suppression of theShimabara Rebellion. On April 22, 1638, he divided his holdings between his sons Abe Shigetsugu (46,000 koku) and Abe Masayoshi (10,000 koku), while retaining the remaining 30,000 koku for himself. Msatsugu died in Osaka in 1647
*Abe Tadaaki* ( 1602 –1671) he was a high-ranking government official in Japan under Tokugawa Iemitsu and Ietsuna, the third and fourthTokugawa Shogun. Iemitsu died in 1651 and was succeeded by his ten-year-old son Ietsuna. In accordance with the custom of junshi, a number of Iemitsu's closest retainers and advisors committed suicide so as to follow their lord in death; Abe did not engage in this practice, and was left, along with a handful of other high-ranking officials and advisors, to handle the affairs of government.
Especially remembered for his integrity, high morals, and practical sense of good government, Abe Tadaaki is known for his attempts to find employment for a number of samurai who became rōnin in the wake of theKeian Uprising, a coup d'état which failed to be executed that same year, just after Iemitsu's death. While other government ministers reacted to the uprising with the instinctive desire to expel all rōnin from Edo(the shogunal capital; today Tokyo), Abe thought it more pertinent to take a somewhat softer tack, aiding the rōnin in seeking legitimate employment, and thus drastically reducing the number who would have reason to take up arms against the shogunate.
Several years before Tadaaki's death in 1671, Sakai Tadakiyo was appointed head of the council of rōjū; Tadaaki constantly rebuked Sakai for his poor sense of proper policy, and his laidback nature. He accused Sakai of taking bribes, and of handling situations on a case-by-case basis, without any sense of overall policy or progress towards a goal. Nevertheless, after thirty-eight years of loyal service to the shogunate, Tadaaki died at the old age of 69, leaving the government in the hands of the likes of those whose policies (or dire lack thereof) would lead over the course of several decades to the Genroku period (1688–1704), which saw a peak in corruption, hedonism, and wastefulness.

Small farmers’ market! The tutorial I used is by Fresh Joy on YT; the link
I changed parts of it to fit the plot I was building it on and made the roof trim to match the inn’s!
Up on the second and third floor is a living space for the family who owns the market!
I’m planning on going back and adding block detail (changing some cobble for mossy, adding chipped stone blocks, etc) to my village later but I’m kinda figuring out where I want things to go right now and how I want everything laid out.

What are your favourite mods? (and explanation what they do would be good too :P)
Ah okie! I have so many favorite mods, but I’ll try to narrow it down!:
The Betweenlands: An absolutely magical mod tbh, it adds a dimension called The Betweenlands which is filled with marshy, swamp-like biomes with tons - and I mean tons - of different mushrooms, plants, trees, fungi. etc.! There are different structures and ‘bosses’ that spawn in the biomes at random, and in the sky there are sometimes events that happen. Like auroras, which are beautiful glowing rays of lights, which can be an array of different colors - there are also Rifts, which are giants holes/tears in the sky which show the overworld’s sky peeking into the Betweenlands dimension. Honestly the best dimension-adding mod I’ve ever used, and it’s still being worked on, which is always good!
Biomes ‘O Plenty: A Minecraft mod staple, going strong for years; it adds a bunch of beautiful different biomes each with their own types of trees, floral and sometimes fauna, I try to always use it in whatever modded world I’m playing. Some biomes are Maple Woods, Lavender Fields, Mystic Grove, and Fungi Forest! But there are so many more - and the mod adds a config file so that you can disable any ones that you don’t want to generate. Very handy!
Metallurgy (or Metallurgy 4:Reforged, for version 1.12.2): This mod adds different kinds of ores to the Overworld, Nether, and The End, which you can smelt into ingots - some of them you can alloy together to create new, stronger metals to make tools/armor/weapons out of! It’s a good addition to the average vanilla toolset, and each metal/ore is unique and has its own strength, some are  weaker than others so you can keep moving up in quality!
Twilight Forest: Another dimension mod which adds the Twilight Forest dimension; like The Betweenlands, it has bosses and different biomes, but in order to enter some biomes, you must have killed a certain boss and retrieved its trophy. So the first boss is the Naga, and once you have the Naga trophy, you can enter a Lich Tower, which is the next boss! This dimension is very tiered, so having the correct trophies is essential to progression inside of it. Also, true to its name, there is no day or night in here, only Twilight. Oh, one other great thing: this dimension has fireflies, which you can jar and use as a light source!
Decocraft, Chinjufu Mod, and Fairy Lights: All three of these mods add cosmetic aspects to the game; Decocraft has possibly hundreds of different models to decorate your base/build (tables, dolls, beds, barrels, etc.) and I’ve been using it for quite a while; Chinjufu mod adds lots of Japanese models and items, including Yukata and traditional masks you can wear, it also adds a few tree types, as well as food and may other things; Fairy Lights is a new favorite of mine, with which you can string different kinds of lights together and hang them from one block to another, much like Christmas lights. You can customize what shaped lights you want and what colors as well!
And here are some small little mods that don’t really add a bunch of content to the game, but make it easier to play and add things that are very useful:
Iron Chests: Adds different tiered chests (iron, gold, diamond, etc.) which, as you go up in quality, have more and more inventory space inside them. Really useful for storing a lot of stuff.
NEI 1.8+/JEI (Not Enough Items 1.8+/Just Enough Items): Inventory mods which let you look up recipes and items or blocks in your inventory menu; in my opinion, these mods are essential to a modded survival world. These mods also require CodeChickenLib 1.8+ to function.
Inventory Tweaks: Adds some buttons in your inventory and chests to automatically sort them by different categories; very handy for keeping everything organized.
HWYLA (Here’s What You’re Looking At): Adds a little gui in the upper middle part of your screen which tells you the name of the block/entity you’re pointing at, very good for identifying something when you don’t actually want to break or harvest it.
Voxelmap: Adds a minimap to whichever corner of the screen you want; it also adds waypoints, points you can create wherever you currently stand which will show up on your map as marked, making travelling easier since you don’t have to memorize landmarks or coordinates. This mod requires Liteloader to function, it’s a bit complicated but I can help if you need it.
Optifine: Absolutely required if you’re going to be using multiple mods; it increases FPS and Minecraft’s performance, and adds tons of options in the Video Settings menu so you can fiddle with different settings that might change your game’s appearance/speed, like turning fog on/off or changing your view distance.
I hope these helped!
