Not me realizing that Zen & Chloe are kind of the same type of vampire.

They are both vampires that hate themselves & the fact they are vampires. They also hate having to survive on blood & feel ill mentally when they do, so they push off feeding as long as they can.

They are also very lonely at heart.

picture this: you turn over and realize they’re half-awake too. they pull you back under the blanket they stole during the night and wrap their arms around you. as you drift back to sleep you realize you couldn’t love a person more if you tried. they’re the safe space you go to when you’re anxious, the person where unabashed honesty doesn’t feel terrifying but something you’re grateful for. it took a long time and even though you never thought you’d be able to say this, you finally feel at home. at home in the same way you do when you look at the moon, and it’s all you’ve ever wanted from life.

you want the uncontrollable giggles, lighthearted kisses on noses, cheeks and foreheads. dancing to bad radio music in your underwear at 11am after a movie night that ended too late. it’s the same song you screamed along to in the car when you looked at them and realized for the first time that you fell in love with your best friend and you see it in their eyes that they feel the same. you’ve decided that life is too short to spend it loving what doesn’t make you happy.

Chloe doesn't remember being a guitarist, that was from her mortal life anyway, & that was possibly centuries ago.

She does collect guitar parts however, little things she can find in what's left of the old world. She feels drawn to them. She can't really explain it.

Minor character tags pt. 1/2

I just like how over the years my taste in 'main characters' or muses of mine that run the show on this blog the most has changed.

The first was Elisa, who was a very 'heroine' type of character, but with a taste of blood & what not. A hero through bloody & savage means, in a way, & she mostly carries the weight of her home on her shoulders, as everyone else has given up on it & believes it doomed.

Then Violet, a special person made through special means, who does not want to be special. A hero who does not want to be a hero, a villain who does not want to be a villain, they just want to be be a normal person. Someone who has been through hell most of her life & is still going through hell now, but just wants to be normal & is at the end of their fucking rope. Just wants to live a fucking life of her own choosing now, but life says no, repeatedly.

Chloe, the average American girl type, that was made into the hero of the story by means of seeking & enacting vengeance. But now is a tsundere with trust issues & is forever suck in an endless looping hell of death & rebirth until she either, completely loses her what's left her humanity & sanity, or someone actually kills her for good. A hero character that's already lived through their 'saving the world' arc, & now has to survive the pieces that remains of their world. Still has that American girl taste of rock & roll tho-

Zero, the villain on his redemption arc. The weird puppet man with mommy issues & who likes to act like he doesn't give a shit about anything or anyone, but actually gives a lot of shits about a lot of things. He's just really good at hiding it... most of the time. He's learning to be open about some of those things he cares about, & learning to deal with the pain of knowing he'll one day outlive everything & everyone, it's a very trial & error process.

And then lastly Ivy & Tiff, two heroine sisters that started off on different paths, but ended up on the same one. The loud & bombastic older sister, & the quiet younger sister living in the older's shadow. The older sets out on her own heroic journey, & helps serve as the catalyst for the younger to start her own as well. Ivy carries the weight of the world on her shoulders & Tiff, now able to hold her own weight, along with someone else's, is there to make sure the 'main hero' isn't all alone. They've also now lived through their 'saving the world' arc, & have to rebuild on the world they've changed.

Let’s not forget the GUILT Chloe feels about being the one that killed Louis’s dear classmate. Like, she knows what she did was a good thing, someone had to stop the rampaging Queen, but Chloe didn’t do it because she wanted to save others, she did it out of a selfish desire for vengeance.

She doesn’t regret doing it, she just regrets her reason.
