following the idea of journey into other worlds, i photoshopped this picture frame that i thought looked cool over the landscape image. I wanted to use the portrait almost like a portal but i didn’t exactly know what to put in the middle so i left it empty for now. I wanted to include a figure similarly to Christopher McKenney’s work but i haven’t been able to do so yet.

Christopher McKenney: “100 Surrealistic Photos I’ve Made”
Specializing in portraits and avant-garde surrealism photography Christopher McKinney born in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania has works featured in numerous publications such as Fader and Buzzfeed and he is also known to adore US History. His 100 photos are based on the horror genre and most of them have faces covered by a sheet of fabric to make them be faceless and have our eyes focus on the environment the faceless are put in to have us think of dark scenarios. Like this one
There is some photos that have specific meaning he wanted to reveal such this one
He explains in a website, birdinflight.com that the picture he took was representing a person being covered by the USA flag representing the fact that many people who live in the US do not really know about US history.
The majority of the photos are face covered like i said; however there are still some that actually have faces revealed and in a form of bizarre and makes one feel gross out while looking at them. So in a way, his goal for avant-garde is working out well for him. Just look at this one.
(If I didn't know any better, I would assume it's a real victim who was suffocated to death...right?)
So basically his photography draws my attention because many if not all the photos are based on stories or personal things that happened or told to him.
